1 To him that excelleth upon Nehiloth. A Psalme of Dauid. Heare my wordes, O Lord: vnderstande my meditation.
1 Ó Senhor Deus, ouve as minhas palavras e escuta os meus gemidos!
2 Hearken vnto the voyce of my crie, my King and my God: for vnto thee doe I pray.
2 Meu Rei e meu Deus, atende o meu pedido de ajuda, pois eu oro a ti, ó
3 Heare my voyce in the morning, O Lord: for in the morning will I direct me vnto thee, and I will waite.
3 De manhã ouves a minha voz; quando o sol nasce, eu faço a minha oração e espero a tua resposta.
4 For thou art not a God that loueth wickednes: neither shall euill dwell with thee.
4 Tu não és Deus que tenha prazer na maldade; tu não permites que os maus sejam teus hóspedes.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: for thou hatest all them that worke iniquitie.
5 Tu não suportas a presença dos orgulhosos e detestas os que praticam o mal.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speake lyes: the Lord will abhorre the bloodie man and deceitfull.
6 Acabas com os mentirosos e desprezas os violentos e os falsos.
7 But I wil come into thine house in the multitude of thy mercie: and in thy feare will I worship toward thine holy Temple.
7 Mas, por causa do teu grande amor, eu posso entrar nos pátios da tua casa e ajoelhar com todo o respeito, voltado para o teu santo Templo.
8 Leade me, O Lord, in thy righteousnes, because of mine enemies: make thy way plaine before my face.
8 Ó Senhor Deus, ajuda-me a fazer a tua vontade e faze com que o teu caminho seja reto e plano para mim! Que os meus inimigos vejam que tu estás comigo!
9 For no constancie is in their mouth: within, they are very corruption: their throte is an open sepulchre, and they flatter with their tongue.
9 Não se pode confiar no que eles dizem, pois só pensam em destruir. A sua conversa é uma bajulação macia, mas está cheia de engano e morte.
10 Destroy them, O God: let them fall from their counsels: cast them out for the multitude of their iniquities, because they haue rebelled against thee.
10 Condena e castiga-os, ó Deus! Que os próprios planos deles os façam cair na desgraça! Expulsa-os da tua presença, pois eles muitas vezes quebram as tuas e se revoltam contra ti.
11 And let all them that trust in thee, reioyce and triumph for euer, and couer thou them: and let them, that loue thy Name, reioyce in thee.
11 Mas os que buscam abrigo em ti ficarão contentes e sempre cantarão de alegria porque tu os defendes. Os que te amam encontram a felicidade em ti.
12 For thou Lord wilt blesse the righteous, and with fauour wilt compasse him, as with a shielde.
12 Pois tu, ó Senhor Deus, abençoas os que te obedecem, a tua bondade os protege como um
