1 A Psalme of David. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and hearken vnto my supplication: answere me in thy trueth and in thy righteousnes.
1 Ó Senhor Deus, ouve a minha oração! Escuta o meu pedido. Responde-me, pois és fiel e bom.
2 (And enter not into iudgement with thy seruant: for in thy sight shall none that liueth, be iustified)
2 Não julgues a mim, este teu servo , pois ninguém é inocente diante de ti.
3 For the enemie hath persecuted my soule: he hath smitten my life downe to the earth: he hath layde me in the darkenes, as they that haue bene dead long agoe:
3 O meu inimigo me perseguiu até me pegar e me derrotou completamente. Ele me pôs numa prisão escura, e eu sou como aqueles que morreram há muito tempo.
4 And my spirit was in perplexitie in me, and mine heart within me was amased.
4 Por isso, estou quase desistindo, e o desespero despedaça o meu coração.
5 Yet doe I remember the time past: I meditate in all thy workes, yea, I doe meditate in the workes of thine hands.
5 Eu lembro do passado. Penso em tudo o que tens feito e não esqueço as tuas ações.
6 I stretch forth mine hands vnto thee: my soule desireth after thee, as the thirstie land. Selah.
6 A ti levanto as mãos em oração; como terra seca, eu tenho sede de ti.
7 Heare me speedily, O Lord, for my spirit fayleth: hide not thy face from me, els I shall be like vnto them that go downe into the pit.
7 Ó Senhor Deus, responde-me depressa, pois já perdi todas as esperanças! Não te escondas de mim para que eu não seja como aqueles que descem ao
8 Let me heare thy louing kindenes in the morning, for in thee is my trust: shewe mee the way, that I should walke in, for I lift vp my soule vnto thee.
8 Peço que todas as manhãs tu me fales do teu amor, pois em ti eu tenho posto a minha confiança. As minhas orações sobem a ti; mostra-me o caminho que devo seguir!
9 Deliuer me, O Lord, from mine enemies: for I hid me with thee.
9 Ó Senhor Deus, livra-me dos meus inimigos, pois em ti encontro proteção!
10 Teach me to doe thy will, for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit leade me vnto the land of righteousnes.
10 Tu és o meu Deus; ensina-me a fazer a tua vontade. Que o teu Espírito seja bom para mim e me guie por um caminho seguro!
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy Names sake, and for thy righteousnesse bring my soule out of trouble.
11 Conserva-me vivo, ó Senhor , como prometeste! E, porque és bom, livra-me das minhas aflições.
12 And for thy mercy slay mine enemies, and destroy all them that oppresse my soule: for I am thy seruant.
12 Mata os meus inimigos, pois tens amor por mim; acaba com todos os que me perseguem, pois eu sou teu servo.
