1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye seruants of the Lord, prayse the Name of the Lord.
1 Aleluia! Louvem, ó servos do Senhor, louvem o nome do Senhor!
2 Blessed be the Name of the Lord from hencefoorth and for euer.
2 Seja bendito o nome do Senhor, desde agora e para sempre!
3 The Lordes Name is praysed from the rising of ye sunne, vnto ye going downe of the same.
3 Do nascente ao poente, seja louvado o nome do Senhor!
4 The Lord is high aboue all nations, and his glorie aboue the heauens.
4 O Senhor está exaltado acima de todas as nações; e acima dos céus está a sua glória.
5 Who is like vnto the Lord our God, that hath his dwelling on high!
5 Quem é como o Senhor, o nosso Deus, que reina em seu trono nas alturas,
6 Who abaseth himselfe to beholde things in the heauen and in the earth!
6 mas se inclina para contemplar o que acontece nos céus e na terra?
7 He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung,
7 Ele levanta do pó o necessitado e ergue do lixo o pobre,
8 That he may set him with the princes, euen with the princes of his people.
8 para fazê-los sentar-se com príncipes, com os príncipes do seu povo.
9 He maketh the barren woman to dwell with a familie, and a ioyfull mother of children. Prayse ye the Lord.
9 Dá um lar à estéril, e dela faz uma feliz mãe de filhos. Aleluia!
