¹ Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.

¹ Aleluia! Como é feliz o homem que teme o Senhor e tem grande prazer em seus mandamentos!

² His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

² Seus descendentes serão poderosos na terra, serão uma geração abençoada, de homens íntegros.

³ Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.

³ Grande riqueza há em sua casa, e a sua justiça dura para sempre.

⁴ Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous.

⁴ A luz raia nas trevas para o íntegro, para quem é misericordioso, compassivo e justo.

⁵ A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement.

⁵ Feliz é o homem que empresta com generosidade e que com honestidade conduz os seus negócios.

⁶ Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

⁶ O justo jamais será abalado; para sempre se lembrarão dele.

⁷ He will not be afraide of euill tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleeueth in the Lord.

⁷ Não temerá más notícias; seu coração está firme, confiante no Senhor.

⁸ His heart is stablished: therefore he will not feare, vntill he see his desire vpon his enemies.

⁸ O seu coração está seguro e nada temerá. No final, verá a derrota dos seus adversários.

⁹ He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.

⁹ Reparte generosamente com os pobres; a sua justiça dura para sempre; seu poder será exaltado em honra.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it and be angrie: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
