1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.
1 Aleluia! Bem-aventurado é aquele que teme o e tem grande prazer nos seus mandamentos.
2 His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
2 A sua descendência será poderosa na terra; a geração dos justos será abençoada.
3 Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.
3 Na sua casa há prosperidade e riqueza, e a sua justiça permanece para sempre.
4 Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous.
4 Aos justos, nasce luz nas trevas; ele é bondoso, compassivo e justo.
5 A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement.
5 Feliz aquele que se compadece e empresta; ele defenderá a sua causa em juízo;
6 Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.
6 não será jamais abalado; será tido em memória eterna.
7 He will not be afraide of euill tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleeueth in the Lord.
7 Não se atemoriza de más notícias; o seu coração é firme, confiante no
8 His heart is stablished: therefore he will not feare, vntill he see his desire vpon his enemies.
8 O seu coração, bem firmado, não teme, até que veja a derrota dos seus inimigos.
9 He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.
9 Distribui, dá aos pobres; a sua justiça permanece para sempre, e o seu poder se exaltará em glória.
10 The wicked shall see it and be angrie: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
10 O ímpio vê isso e fica com raiva; range os dentes e se consome. O desejo dos ímpios perecerá.
