¹ Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.

¹ Louvai ao Senhor ! Bem-aventurado o homem que teme ao Senhor , que em seus mandamentos tem grande prazer.

² His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

² A sua descendência será poderosa na terra; a geração dos justos será abençoada.

³ Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.

³ Fazenda e riquezas haverá na sua casa, e a sua justiça permanece para sempre.

⁴ Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous.

⁴ Aos justos nasce luz nas trevas; ele é piedoso, misericordioso e justo.

⁵ A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement.

⁵ Bem irá ao homem que se compadece e empresta; disporá as suas coisas com juízo.

⁶ Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

⁶ Na verdade, nunca será abalado; o justo ficará em memória eterna.

⁷ He will not be afraide of euill tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleeueth in the Lord.

⁷ Não temerá maus rumores; o seu coração está firme, confiando no Senhor .

⁸ His heart is stablished: therefore he will not feare, vntill he see his desire vpon his enemies.

⁸ O seu coração, bem firmado, não temerá, até que ele veja cumprido o seu desejo sobre os seus inimigos.

⁹ He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.

⁹ É liberal, dá aos necessitados; a sua justiça permanece para sempre, e a sua força se exaltará em glória.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it and be angrie: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

¹⁰ O ímpio verá isto e se enraivecerá; rangerá os dentes e se consumirá; o desejo dos ímpios perecerá.
