¹ A Psalme of David. I will sing mercie and iudgement: vnto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

¹ Cantarei a lealdade e a justiça. A ti, Senhor, cantarei louvores!

² I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.

² Seguirei o caminho da integridade; quando virás ao meu encontro? Em minha casa viverei de coração íntegro.

³ I wil set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the worke of them that fall away: it shall not cleaue vnto me.

³ Repudiarei todo mal. Odeio a conduta dos infiéis; jamais me dominará!

⁴ A froward heart shall depart from me: I will knowe none euill.

⁴ Longe estou dos perversos de coração; não quero envolver-me com o mal.

⁵ Him that priuily slandereth his neighbour, wil I destroy: him that hath a proude looke and hie heart, I cannot suffer.

⁵ Farei calar ao que difama o próximo às ocultas. Não vou tolerar o homem de olhos arrogantes e de coração orgulhoso.

⁶ Mine eyes shalbe vnto the faithfull of the lande, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfite way, he shall serue me.

⁶ Meus olhos aprovam os fiéis da terra, e eles habitarão comigo. Somente quem tem vida íntegra me servirá.

⁷ There shall no deceitful person dwell within mine house: he that telleth lyes, shall not remaine in my sight.

⁷ Quem pratica a fraude não habitará no meu santuário; o mentiroso não permanecerá na minha presença.

⁸ Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the workers of iniquitie from the Citie of the Lord.

⁸ Cada manhã fiz calar todos os ímpios desta terra; eliminei todos os malfeitores da cidade do Senhor.
