1 A Psalme of David. I will sing mercie and iudgement: vnto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
1 Eu canto a respeito da fidelidade e da justiça; canto hinos a ti, ó
2 I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.
2 Serei honesto em tudo o que fizer. Quando virás para te encontrares comigo? Viverei uma vida correta na minha casa
3 I wil set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the worke of them that fall away: it shall not cleaue vnto me.
3 e não deixarei que entre nela nenhum mal. Eu detesto as ações daqueles que se afastam de Deus e não tomarei parte nos seus pecados.
4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will knowe none euill.
4 Afastarei de mim pensamentos desonestos e não terei nada a ver com a maldade.
5 Him that priuily slandereth his neighbour, wil I destroy: him that hath a proude looke and hie heart, I cannot suffer.
5 Destruirei aqueles que falam mal dos outros pelas costas e não suportarei os orgulhosos e os arrogantes.
6 Mine eyes shalbe vnto the faithfull of the lande, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfite way, he shall serue me.
6 Aprovarei os que são fiéis a Deus e deixarei que morem no meu palácio. Aqueles que vivem uma vida correta poderão trabalhar para mim.
7 There shall no deceitful person dwell within mine house: he that telleth lyes, shall not remaine in my sight.
7 Nenhum mentiroso viverá no meu palácio; nenhuma pessoa fingida ficará na minha presença.
8 Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the workers of iniquitie from the Citie of the Lord.
8 Cada dia destruirei os maus da nossa terra e expulsarei da cidade do todos os que praticam o mal.
