1 Who is this that commeth from Edom, with red garments from Bozrah? hee is glorious in his apparel and walketh in his great strength: I speake in righteousnesse, and am mightie to saue.
1 “Quem é este que vem de Edom, de Bozra, vestido de roupas vermelhas, roupas vistosas, que vem marchando na plenitude da sua força”? “Sou eu, que falo com justiça, que sou poderoso para salvar.”
2 Wherefore is thine apparel red, and thy garments like him that treadeth in ye wine presse?
2 “Por que as suas roupas estão vermelhas? Por que se parecem com as roupas de quem pisa uvas no lagar?”
3 I haue troden the wine presse alone, and of all people there was none with mee: for I will treade them in mine anger, and tread them vnder foote in my wrath, and their blood shalbe sprinkled vpon my garments, and I will staine all my raiment.
3 “O lagar, eu o pisei sozinho. Dos povos, ninguém esteve comigo. Pisei as uvas na minha ira; no meu furor, as esmaguei, e o seu sangue respingou nas minhas roupas, e todas elas ficaram manchadas.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the yeere of my redeemed is come.
4 Porque o dia da vingança estava no meu coração, e o ano da redenção havia chegado.
5 And I looked, and there was none to helpe, and I wondered that there was none to vpholde: therefore mine owne arme helped me, and my wrath it selfe sustained me.
5 Olhei, e não havia quem me ajudasse; fiquei admirado por não haver quem me apoiasse. Por isso o meu próprio braço me trouxe a salvação, e o meu furor foi o meu apoio.
6 Therefore I wil tread downe the people in my wrath, and make them drunken in mine indignation, and wil bring downe their strength to the earth.
6 Na minha ira, pisei os povos, no meu furor, embriaguei-os, derramando o seu sangue no chão.”
7 I wil remember the mercies of the Lord and the prayses of the Lord according vnto all that the Lord hath giuen vs, and for the great goodnesse toward the house of Israel, which hee hath giuen them according to his tender loue, and according to his great mercies.
7 Celebrarei as misericórdias do e os seus atos gloriosos, segundo tudo o que o nos concedeu e segundo a grande bondade para com a casa de Israel, bondade que usou para com eles, segundo a sua compaixão e segundo a multidão das suas misericórdias.
8 For he saide, Surely they are my people, children that wil not lie: so he was their Sauiour.
8 Porque ele dizia: “Certamente eles são o meu povo, filhos que nunca me trairão.” E ele se tornou o Salvador deles.
9 In all their troubles he was troubled, and the Angel of his presence saued them: in his loue and in his mercie he redeemed them, and he bare them and caried them alwayes continually.
9 Em toda a angústia deles, também ele se angustiava; e o Anjo da sua presença os salvou. Por seu amor e por sua compaixão, ele mesmo os remiu, os tomou e os conduziu todos os dias da antiguidade.
10 But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore was hee turned to be their enemie and he fought against them.
10 Mas eles foram rebeldes e contristaram o seu Espírito Santo. Por isso, ele se tornou inimigo deles e ele mesmo lutou contra eles.
11 Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
11 Então o povo se lembrou dos dias antigos, lembrou de Moisés, e disse: “Onde está aquele que tirou o seu povo do mar, junto com o pastor do seu rebanho? Onde está o que pôs nele o seu Espírito Santo,
12 He led them by the right hand of Moses with his owne glorious arme, deuiding the water before them, to make himselfe an euerlasting Name.
12 aquele que fez com que o seu braço glorioso estivesse à mão direita de Moisés? Onde está aquele que dividiu as águas diante deles, adquirindo para si um nome eterno?
13 Hee led them through the deepe, as an horse in the wildernesse, that they should not stumble,
13 Aquele que os guiou pelos abismos, como a um cavalo pelo deserto, de modo que nunca tropeçaram?
14 As the beast goeth downe into the valley, the Spirite of the Lord gaue them rest: so diddest thou leade thy people, to make thy selfe a glorious Name.
14 Como o gado que desce aos vales para repousar, o Espírito do lhes deu descanso.” Assim, guiaste o teu povo, para adquirires um nome glorioso.
15 Looke downe from heauen, and beholde from the dwelling place of thine holines, and of thy glory. Where is thy zeale and thy strength, the multitude of thy mercies, and of thy compassions? they are restrained from me.
15 Olha para nós lá do céu, da tua santa e gloriosa habitação. Onde estão o teu zelo e as tuas obras poderosas? Estás retendo a ternura do teu coração? Já se esgotaram as tuas misericórdias para comigo?
16 Doutles thou art our Father: though Abraham be ignorant of vs, and Israel knowe vs not, yet thou, O Lord, art our Father, and our redeemer: thy Name is for euer.
16 Mas tu és o nosso Pai. Abraão não nos conhece e Israel não nos reconhece, mas tu, ó nosso Redentor é o teu nome desde a antiguidade.
17 O Lord, why hast thou made vs to erre from thy wayes? and hardened our heart from thy feare? Returne for thy seruants sake, and for the tribes of thine inheritance.
17 Ó Senhor , por que fazes com que nos desviemos dos teus caminhos? Por que endureces o nosso coração, para que não te temamos? Volta, por amor dos teus servos e das tribos da tua herança.
18 The people of thine holinesse haue possessed it, but a litle while: for our aduersaries haue troden downe thy Sanctuarie.
18 Só por breve tempo o teu santo povo tomou posse do país; nossos adversários pisaram o teu santuário.
19 We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.
19 Tornamo-nos como aqueles sobre quem tu nunca dominaste e como os que nunca se chamaram pelo teu nome.
