1 Who is this that commeth from Edom, with red garments from Bozrah? hee is glorious in his apparel and walketh in his great strength: I speake in righteousnesse, and am mightie to saue.
1 Quem é este, que vem de Edom, de Bozra, com vestes tintas; este que é glorioso em sua vestidura, que marcha com a sua grande força? Eu, que falo em justiça, poderoso para salvar.
2 Wherefore is thine apparel red, and thy garments like him that treadeth in ye wine presse?
2 Por que está vermelha a tua vestidura, e as tuas roupas como as daquele que pisa no lagar?
3 I haue troden the wine presse alone, and of all people there was none with mee: for I will treade them in mine anger, and tread them vnder foote in my wrath, and their blood shalbe sprinkled vpon my garments, and I will staine all my raiment.
3 Eu sozinho pisei no lagar, e dos povos ninguém houve comigo; e os pisei na minha ira, e os esmaguei no meu furor; e o seu sangue salpicou as minhas vestes, e manchei toda a minha vestidura.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the yeere of my redeemed is come.
4 Porque o dia da vingança estava no meu coração; e o ano dos meus remidos é chegado.
5 And I looked, and there was none to helpe, and I wondered that there was none to vpholde: therefore mine owne arme helped me, and my wrath it selfe sustained me.
5 E olhei, e não havia quem me ajudasse; e admirei-me de não haver quem me sustivesse, por isso o meu braço me trouxe a salvação, e o meu furor me susteve.
6 Therefore I wil tread downe the people in my wrath, and make them drunken in mine indignation, and wil bring downe their strength to the earth.
6 E atropelei os povos na minha ira, e os embriaguei no meu furor; e a sua força derrubei por terra.
7 I wil remember the mercies of the Lord and the prayses of the Lord according vnto all that the Lord hath giuen vs, and for the great goodnesse toward the house of Israel, which hee hath giuen them according to his tender loue, and according to his great mercies.
7 As benignidades do Senhor mencionarei, e os muitos louvores do Senhor, conforme tudo quanto o Senhor nos concedeu; e grande bondade para com a casa de Israel, que usou com eles segundo as suas misericórdias, e segundo a multidão das suas benignidades.
8 For he saide, Surely they are my people, children that wil not lie: so he was their Sauiour.
8 Porque dizia: Certamente eles são meu povo, filhos que não mentirão; assim ele se fez o seu Salvador.
9 In all their troubles he was troubled, and the Angel of his presence saued them: in his loue and in his mercie he redeemed them, and he bare them and caried them alwayes continually.
9 Em toda a angústia deles ele foi angustiado, e o anjo da sua presença os salvou; pelo seu amor, e pela sua compaixão ele os remiu; e os tomou, e os conduziu todos os dias da antiguidade.
10 But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore was hee turned to be their enemie and he fought against them.
10 Mas eles foram rebeldes, e contristaram o seu Espírito Santo; por isso se lhes tornou em inimigo, e ele mesmo pelejou contra eles.
11 Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
11 Todavia se lembrou dos dias da antiguidade, de Moisés, e do seu povo, dizendo: Onde está agora o que os fez subir do mar com os pastores do seu rebanho? Onde está o que pôs no meio deles o seu Espírito Santo?
12 He led them by the right hand of Moses with his owne glorious arme, deuiding the water before them, to make himselfe an euerlasting Name.
12 Aquele cujo braço glorioso ele fez andar à mão direita de Moisés, que fendeu as águas diante deles, para fazer para si um nome eterno?
13 Hee led them through the deepe, as an horse in the wildernesse, that they should not stumble,
13 Aquele que os guiou pelos abismos, como o cavalo no deserto, de modo que nunca tropeçaram?
14 As the beast goeth downe into the valley, the Spirite of the Lord gaue them rest: so diddest thou leade thy people, to make thy selfe a glorious Name.
14 Como o animal que desce ao vale, o Espírito do Senhor lhes deu descanso; assim guiaste ao teu povo, para te fazeres um nome glorioso.
15 Looke downe from heauen, and beholde from the dwelling place of thine holines, and of thy glory. Where is thy zeale and thy strength, the multitude of thy mercies, and of thy compassions? they are restrained from me.
15 Atenta desde os céus, e olha desde a tua santa e gloriosa habitação. Onde estão o teu zelo e as tuas obras poderosas? A comoção das tuas entranhas, e das tuas misericórdias, detém-se para comigo?
16 Doutles thou art our Father: though Abraham be ignorant of vs, and Israel knowe vs not, yet thou, O Lord, art our Father, and our redeemer: thy Name is for euer.
16 Mas tu és nosso Pai, ainda que Abraão não nos conhece, e Israel não nos reconhece; tu, ó Senhor, és nosso Pai; nosso Redentor desde a antiguidade é o teu nome.
17 O Lord, why hast thou made vs to erre from thy wayes? and hardened our heart from thy feare? Returne for thy seruants sake, and for the tribes of thine inheritance.
17 Por que, ó Senhor, nos fazes errar dos teus caminhos? Por que endureces o nosso coração, para que não te temamos? Volta, por amor dos teus servos, às tribos da tua herança.
18 The people of thine holinesse haue possessed it, but a litle while: for our aduersaries haue troden downe thy Sanctuarie.
18 Só por um pouco de tempo o teu santo povo a possuiu; nossos adversários pisaram o teu santuário.
19 We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.
19 Somos feitos como aqueles sobre quem tu nunca dominaste, e como os que nunca se chamaram pelo teu nome.
