1 Yet nowe heare, O Iaakob my seruant, and Israel, whom I haue chosen.
1 "Mas escute agora, Jacó, meu servo, Israel, a quem escolhi.
2 Thus sayeth the Lord, that made thee, and formed thee from the wombe: he wil helpe thee. Feare not, O Iaakob, my seruaunt, and thou righteous, whome I haue chosen.
2 Assim diz o Senhor, aquele que o fez, que o formou no ventre, e que o ajudará: Não tenha medo, ó Jacó, meu servo, Jesurum, a quem escolhi.
3 For I will powre water vpon the thirstie, and floods vpon the drie grounde: I will powre my Spirit vpon thy seede, and my blessing vpon thy buddes.
3 Pois derramarei água na terra sedenta, e torrentes na terra seca; derramarei meu Espírito sobre sua prole, e minha bênção sobre seus descendentes.
4 And they shall grow as among the grasse, and as the willowes by the riuers of waters.
4 Eles brotarão como relva nova, como salgueiros junto a regatos.
5 One shall say, I am the Lordes: another shalbe called by the name of Iaakob: and another shall subscribe with his hand vnto the Lord, and name himselfe by the name of Israel.
5 Um dirá: "Pertenço ao Senhor"; outro chamará a si mesmo pelo nome de Jacó; ainda outro escreverá em sua mão: "Do Senhor", e tomará para si o nome Israel. "
6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his redeemer, the Lord of hostes, I am the first, and I am the last, and without me is there no God.
6 "Assim diz o Senhor, o rei de Israel, o seu redentor, o Senhor dos Exércitos: Eu sou o primeiro e eu sou o último; além de mim não há Deus.
7 And who is like me, that shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order before me, since I appointed the ancient people? and what is at hand, and what things are to come? let them shewe vnto them.
7 Quem então é como eu? Que ele o anuncie, que ele declare e exponha diante de mim o que aconteceu desde que estabeleci meu antigo povo, e o que ainda está para vir; que todos eles predigam as coisas futuras e o que irá acontecer.
8 Feare ye not, neither be afraide: haue not I tolde thee of olde, and haue declared it? you are euen my witnesses, whether there be a God beside me, and that there is no God that I knowe not.
8 Não tremam, nem tenham medo. Não anunciei isto e não o predisse muito tempo atrás? Vocês são minhas testemunhas. Há outro Deus além de mim? Não, não existe nenhuma outra Rocha; não conheço nenhuma. "
9 All they that make an image, are vanitie, and their delectable things shall nothing profite: and they are their owne witnesses, that they see not nor know: therefore they shalbe confounded.
9 Todos os que fazem imagens nada são, e as coisas que estimam são sem valor. As suas testemunhas nada vêem e nada sabem, para que sejam envergonhados.
10 Who hath made a god, or molten an image, that is profitable for nothing?
10 Quem é que modela um deus e funde uma imagem, que de nada lhe serve?
11 Beholde, all that are of the fellowship thereof, shall be confounded: for the workemen themselues are men: let them all be gathered together, and stand vp, yet they shall feare, and be confounded together.
11 Todos seus companheiros serão envergonhados; pois os artesãos não passam de homens. Que todos eles se ajuntem e declarem sua posição; eles serão lançados ao pavor e à vergonha.
12 The smith taketh an instrument, and worketh in the coles, and facioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his armes: yea, he is an hungred, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
12 O ferreiro apanha uma ferramenta e trabalha com ela nas brasas; modela um ídolo com martelos, forja-o com a força do braço. Ele sente fome e perde a força; passa sede e desfalece.
13 The carpenter stretcheth out a line: he facioneth it with a red thread, he planeth it, and he purtreyeth it with the compasse, and maketh it after the figure of a man, and according to the beautie of a man that it may remaine in an house.
13 O carpinteiro mede a madeira com uma linha e faz um esboço com um traçador; ele o modela toscamente com formões e o marca com compassos. Ele o faz na forma de homem, de homem em toda a sua beleza, para que habite num santuário.
14 He will hewe him downe cedars, and take the pine tree and the oke, and taketh courage among the trees of the forest: he planteth a firre tree, and the raine doeth nourish it.
14 Ele derruba cedros, ou talvez apanhe um cipreste, ou ainda um carvalho. Ele o deixou crescer entre as árvores da floresta, ou plantou um pinheiro, e a chuva o fez crescer.
15 And man burneth thereof: for he will take thereof and warme himselfe: he also kindleth it and baketh bread, yet he maketh a god, and worshippeth it: he maketh it an idole and boweth vnto it.
15 É combustível usado para queimar; um pouco disso ele apanha e se aquece, acende um fogo e assa um pão. Mas também modela um deus e o adora; faz uma imagem e se encurva diante dela.
16 He burneth the halfe thereof euen in the fire, and vpon the halfe thereof he eateth flesh: he rosteth the roste and is satisfied: also he warmeth himselfe and sayth, Aha, I am warme, I haue bene at the fire.
16 Metade da madeira, ele a queima no fogo; sobre ela ele prepara sua refeição, assa a carne e come sua porção. Ele também se aquece e diz: "Ah! Estou aquecido; estou vendo o fogo".
17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, euen his idole: he boweth vnto it, and worshippeth and prayeth vnto it, and sayeth, Deliuer me: for thou art my god.
17 Do restante ele faz um deus, seu ídolo; inclina-se diante dele e o adora. Ora a ele e diz: "Salva-me; tu és meu deus".
18 They haue not knowen, nor vnderstand: for God hath shut their eyes that they cannot see, and their heartes, that they cannot vnderstand.
18 Eles nada sabem, nada entendem; seus olhos estão tapados, não conseguem ver, e suas mentes estão fechadas, não conseguem entender.
19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor vnderstanding to say, I haue burnt halfe of it, euen in the fire, and haue baked bread also vpon the coles thereof: I haue rosted flesh, and eaten it, and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I bowe to the stocke of a tree?
19 Ninguém pára para pensar, ninguém tem o conhecimento ou o entendimento para dizer: "Metade dela usei como combustível; até mesmo assei pão sobre suas brasas, assei carne e comi. Faria eu algo repugnante com o que sobrou? Iria eu ajoelhar-me diante de um pedaço de madeira? "
20 He feedeth of ashes: a seduced heart hath deceiued him, that he cannot deliuer his soule, nor say, Is there not a lye in my right hand?
20 Ele se alimenta de cinzas, um coração iludido o desvia; ele é incapaz de salvar a si mesmo ou de dizer: "Esta coisa na minha mão direita não é uma mentira? "
21 Remember these (O Iaakob and Israel) for thou art my seruant: I haue formed thee: thou art my seruant: O Israel forget me not.
21 "Lembre-se disso, ó Jacó, pois você é meu servo, ó Israel. Eu o fiz, você é meu servo; ó Israel, eu não o esquecerei.
22 I haue put away thy transgressions like a cloude, and thy sinnes, as a mist: turne vnto me, for I haue redeemed thee.
22 Como se fossem uma nuvem, varri para longe suas ofensas; como se fossem a neblina da manhã, os seus pecados. Volte para mim, pois eu o resgatei. "
23 Reioyce, ye heauens: for the Lord hath done it: shoute, ye lower partes of the earth: brast foorth into prayses, ye mountaines, O forest and euery tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Iaakob and will be glorified in Israel.
23 Cantem de alegria, ó céus, pois o Senhor fez isto; grite bem alto, ó profundezas da terra. Irrompam em canção, vocês, montes, vocês, florestas e todas as suas árvores, pois o Senhor resgatou Jacó, ele mostra sua glória em Israel.
24 Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.
24 "Assim diz o Senhor, o seu redentor, que o formou no ventre: Eu sou o Senhor, que fiz todas as coisas, que sozinho estendi os céus, que espalhei a terra por mim mesmo,
25 I destroy the tokens of ye southsayers, and make them that coniecture, fooles, and turne the wise men backwarde, and make their knowledge foolishnesse.
25 que atrapalha os sinais de falsos profetas e faz de tolos os adivinhadores, que derruba o conhecimento dos sábios e o transforma em loucura,
26 He confirmeth the worde of his seruant and performeth the counsell of his messengers, saying to Ierusalem, Thou shalt bee inhabited: and to the cities of Iudah, Yee shall be built vp, and I will repayre the decayed places thereof.
26 que executa as palavras de seus servos e cumpre as predições de seus mensageiros, que diz acerca de Jerusalém: ‘Ela será habitada’, e das cidades de Judá: ‘Elas serão construídas’, e de suas ruínas: ‘Eu as restaurarei’,
27 He saith to the deepe, Be drye and I will drye vp thy floods.
27 que diz às profundezas aquáticas: ‘Sequem-se, e eu secarei seus regatos’,
28 He saith to Cyrus, Thou art my shepheard: and he shall performe all my desire: saying also to Ierusalem, Thou shalt be built: and to the Temple, Thy foundation shall be surely layed.
28 que diz acerca de Ciro: ‘Ele é meu pastor, e realizará tudo o que me agrada; ele dirá acerca de Jerusalém: "Seja reconstruída", e do templo: "Sejam lançados os seus alicerces" ’.
