1 For the Lord wil haue compassion of Iaakob, and wil yet chuse Israel, and cause them to rest in their owne lande: and the stranger shall ioyne him selfe vnto them, and they shall cleaue to the house of Iaakob.
1 O S enhor , porém, terá misericórdia dos descendentes de Jacó. Mais uma vez, escolherá Israel para ser seu povo. Ele os trará de volta e os estabelecerá em sua própria terra. Gente de muitas nações virá, se juntará a eles ali e se unirá ao povo de Israel.
2 And the people shall receiue them and bring them to their owne place, and the house of Israel shall possesse them in the land of the Lord, for seruants and handmaids: and they shall take them prisoners, whose captiues they were, and haue rule ouer their oppressours.
2 As nações do mundo ajudarão o povo de Israel a retornar, e aqueles que vierem morar na terra do S enhor os servirão. Os que conquistaram Israel serão conquistados, e Israel dominará seus opressores.
3 And in that day when the Lord shall giue thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy feare, and from the sore bodage, wherein thou didest serue,
3 Naquele dia, quando o S enhor der a seu povo descanso da tristeza, do medo e da terrível escravidão a que foram submetidos,
4 Then shalt thou take vp this prouerbe against the King of Babel, and say, Howe hath the oppressor ceased? and the gold thirsty Babel rested?
4 vocês zombarão do rei da Babilônia e dirão: “O homem poderoso foi destruído; acabou sua insolência.
5 The Lord hath broken the rodde of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers:
5 O S enhor esmagou seu poder perverso e derrubou seu reino de maldade.
6 Which smote the people in anger with a continuall plague, and ruled the nations in wrath: if any were persecuted, he did not let.
6 Você feriu o povo com incontáveis golpes de fúria; cheio de ira, dominou as nações com tirania implacável.
7 The whole worlde is at rest and is quiet: they sing for ioye.
7 Mas, por fim, a terra descansa tranquila; agora pode voltar a cantar!
8 Also the firre trees reioyced of thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid downe, no hewer came vp against vs.
8 Até as árvores do bosque, os ciprestes e os cedros do Líbano, entoam esta alegre canção: ‘Agora que você foi derrubado, ninguém virá nos derrubar!’.
9 Hel beneath is mooued for thee to meete thee at thy comming, raising vp the deade for thee, euen all the princes of the earth, and hath raised from their thrones all the Kinges of the nations.
9 “O lugar dos mortos se empolga com a sua chegada. Líderes e reis mortos há muito tempo se levantam para vê-lo.
10 All they shall crie, and saie vnto thee, Art thou become weake also as we? art thou become like vnto vs?
10 A uma só voz eles clamam: ‘Agora você é tão fraco quanto nós!
11 Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee.
11 Seu orgulho foi enterrado com você; o som da harpa em seu palácio cessou. Agora larvas são seu lençol, e vermes, sua coberta’.
12 How art thou fallen from heauen, O Lucifer, sonne of the morning? and cutte downe to the grounde, which didest cast lottes vpon the nations?
12 “Como você caiu dos céus, ó estrela brilhante, filho da alvorada! Foi lançado à terra, você que destruía as nações.
13 Yet thou saidest in thine heart, I will ascende into heauen, and exalt my throne aboue beside the starres of God: I will sitte also vpon the mount of the Congregation in the sides of the North.
13 Pois dizia consigo: ‘Subirei aos céus e colocarei meu trono acima das estrelas de Deus. Dominarei no monte dos deuses, nos lugares distantes do norte.
14 I wil ascend aboue ye height of the cloudes, and I will be like the most high.
14 Subirei aos mais altos céus e serei como o Altíssimo’.
15 But thou shalt bee brought downe to the graue, to the sides of the pit.
15 Em vez disso, será lançado ao lugar dos mortos, ao mais profundo abismo.
16 They that see thee, shall looke vpon thee and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake the kingdomes?
16 Todos olharão para você e perguntarão: ‘É esse o homem que fazia a terra tremer e abalava os reinos do mundo?
17 He made the worlde as a wildernesse, and destroied the cities thereof, and opened not the house of his prisoners.
17 É esse o rei que destruiu a terra e a transformou em deserto? É ele que arrasava as grandes cidades e não tinha misericórdia de seus prisioneiros?’.
18 All the Kings of the nations, euen they all sleepe in glorie, euery one in his owne house.
18 “Os reis das nações foram sepultados em glória majestosa, cada um em seu túmulo,
19 But thou art cast out of thy graue like an abominable branch: like the raiment of those that are slaine, and thrust thorowe with a sword, which goe downe to the stones of the pit, as a carkeise troden vnder feete.
19 mas você será lançado fora de sua sepultura, como um galho inútil. Como um cadáver pisoteado, será jogado numa vala comum, com os que foram mortos na batalha. Descerá ao abismo
20 Thou shalt not be ioyned with them in the graue, because thou hast destroied thine owne lande, and slaine thy people: the seede of the wicked shall not be renoumed for euer.
20 e não terá um sepultamento digno, pois destruiu sua nação e massacrou seu povo. Os descendentes de alguém tão perverso nunca mais receberão honras.
21 Prepare a slaughter for his children, for the iniquitie of their fathers: let them not rise vp nor possesse the land, nor fil the face of the world with enemies.
21 Matem os filhos desse homem! Que morram por causa dos pecados do pai, para que não se levantem a fim de conquistar a terra e encher o mundo com suas cidades”.
22 For I wil rise vp against them (sayth the Lord of hostes) and will cut off from Babel the name and the remnant and the sonne, and the nephew, sayth the Lord:
22 Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: “Eu mesmo me levantei contra a Babilônia! Destruirei seus filhos e os filhos de seus filhos”, diz o S
23 And I wil make it a possession to ye hedgehogge, and pooles of water, and I will sweepe it with the besome of destruction, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
23 “Transformarei a Babilônia em lugar para corujas, cheio de pântanos e brejos; varrerei a terra com a vassoura da destruição. Eu, o S
24 The Lord of hostes hath sworne, saying, Surely like as I haue purposed, so shall it come to passe, and as I haue consulted, it shall stand:
24 O S enhor dos Exércitos jurou: “Tudo acontecerá como planejei; será conforme decidi.
25 That I will breake to pieces Asshur in my land, and vpon my mountaines will I treade him vnder foote: so that his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden shall be taken from off their shoulder.
25 Derrubarei os assírios quando estiverem em Israel e os pisotearei em meus montes. Meu povo não será mais seu escravo, nem se curvará sob o peso de suas cargas.
26 This is the counsell that is consulted vpon the whole worlde, and this is the hande stretched out ouer all the nations,
26 Tenho um plano para toda a terra; minha mão está sobre todas as nações.
27 Because the Lord of hostes hath determined it, and who shall disanull it? and his hande is stretched out, and who shall turne it away?
27 O S enhor dos Exércitos falou; quem pode mudar seus planos? Quando levanta sua mão, quem pode detê-la?”.
28 In the yeere that King Ahaz died, was this burden.
28 Recebi esta mensagem no ano em que o rei Acaz morreu:
29 Reioyce not, (thou whole Palestina) because the rod of him that did beat thee, is broken for out of the serpents roote shall come forth a cockatrise, and the fruit therof shalbe a firy flying serpent.
29 Não se alegrem, filisteus, por estar morto o rei que os feriu. Pois dessa cobra nascerá outra mais venenosa, uma serpente terrível e abrasadora!
30 For the first borne of the poore shall be fed, and the needie shall lie downe in safetie: and I will kill thy roote with famine, and it shall slay thy remnant.
30 Alimentarei os pobres em meus pastos, e os necessitados se deitarão em paz. Quanto a vocês, eu os matarei de fome e destruirei os poucos que restarem.
31 Howle, O gate, crie, O citie: thou whole lande of Palestina art dissolued, for there shall come from the North a smoke, and none shalbe alone, at his time appointed.
31 Lamentem junto aos portões! Chorem alto nas cidades! Derretam-se de medo, filisteus! Um exército poderoso vem do norte, como fumaça; cada soldado avança depressa, ansioso para lutar.
32 What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.
32 Que diremos aos mensageiros filisteus? Digam-lhes: “O S dentro de seus muros seu povo oprimido encontrará refúgio”.
