1 For the Lord wil haue compassion of Iaakob, and wil yet chuse Israel, and cause them to rest in their owne lande: and the stranger shall ioyne him selfe vnto them, and they shall cleaue to the house of Iaakob.
1 O Senhor terá compaixão de Jacó; tornará a escolher Israel e os estabelecerá em sua própria terra. Os estrangeiros se juntarão a eles e farão parte da descendência de Jacó.
2 And the people shall receiue them and bring them to their owne place, and the house of Israel shall possesse them in the land of the Lord, for seruants and handmaids: and they shall take them prisoners, whose captiues they were, and haue rule ouer their oppressours.
2 Povos os apanharão e os levarão ao seu próprio lugar. E a descendência de Israel possuirá os povos como servos e servas na terra do Senhor. Farão prisioneiros os seus captores e dominarão sobre os seus opressores.
3 And in that day when the Lord shall giue thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy feare, and from the sore bodage, wherein thou didest serue,
3 No dia em que o Senhor lhe der descanso do sofrimento, da perturbação e da cruel escravidão que sobre você foi imposta,
4 Then shalt thou take vp this prouerbe against the King of Babel, and say, Howe hath the oppressor ceased? and the gold thirsty Babel rested?
4 assim você zombará do rei da Babilônia: Como chegou ao fim o opressor! Sua arrogância acabou-se!
5 The Lord hath broken the rodde of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers:
5 O Senhor quebrou a vara dos ímpios, o cetro dos governantes,
6 Which smote the people in anger with a continuall plague, and ruled the nations in wrath: if any were persecuted, he did not let.
6 que irados feriram os povos com golpes incessantes, e enfurecidos subjugaram as nações com perseguição implacável.
7 The whole worlde is at rest and is quiet: they sing for ioye.
7 Toda a terra descansa tranqüila, todos irrompem em gritos de alegria.
8 Also the firre trees reioyced of thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid downe, no hewer came vp against vs.
8 Até os pinheiros e os cedros do Líbano alegram-se por sua causa e dizem: "Agora que você foi derrubado, nenhum lenhador vem derrubar-nos! "
9 Hel beneath is mooued for thee to meete thee at thy comming, raising vp the deade for thee, euen all the princes of the earth, and hath raised from their thrones all the Kinges of the nations.
9 Nas profundezas o Sheol está todo agitado para recebê-lo quando chegar. Por sua causa ele desperta os espíritos dos mortos, todos os governantes da terra. Ele os faz levantar-se dos seus tronos, todos os reis dos povos.
10 All they shall crie, and saie vnto thee, Art thou become weake also as we? art thou become like vnto vs?
10 Todos responderão e lhe dirão: "Você também perdeu as forças como nós, e tornou-se como um de nós".
11 Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee.
11 Sua soberba foi lançada na sepultura, junto com o som das suas liras; sua cama é de larvas, sua coberta, de vermes.
12 How art thou fallen from heauen, O Lucifer, sonne of the morning? and cutte downe to the grounde, which didest cast lottes vpon the nations?
12 Como você caiu dos céus, ó estrela da manhã, filho da alvorada! Como foi atirado à terra, você, que derrubava as nações!
13 Yet thou saidest in thine heart, I will ascende into heauen, and exalt my throne aboue beside the starres of God: I will sitte also vpon the mount of the Congregation in the sides of the North.
13 Você que dizia no seu coração: "Subirei aos céus; erguerei o meu trono acima das estrelas de Deus; eu me assentarei no monte da assembléia, no ponto mais elevado do monte santo.
14 I wil ascend aboue ye height of the cloudes, and I will be like the most high.
14 Subirei mais alto que as mais altas nuvens; serei como o Altíssimo".
15 But thou shalt bee brought downe to the graue, to the sides of the pit.
15 Mas às profundezas do Sheol você será levado, irá ao fundo do abismo!
16 They that see thee, shall looke vpon thee and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake the kingdomes?
16 Os que olham para você admiram-se da sua situação, e a seu respeito ponderam: "É esse o homem que fazia tremer a terra e abalava os reinos,
17 He made the worlde as a wildernesse, and destroied the cities thereof, and opened not the house of his prisoners.
17 e fez do mundo um deserto, conquistou cidades e não deixou que os seus prisioneiros voltassem para casa? "
18 All the Kings of the nations, euen they all sleepe in glorie, euery one in his owne house.
18 Todos os reis das nações jazem honrosamente, cada um em seu próprio túmulo.
19 But thou art cast out of thy graue like an abominable branch: like the raiment of those that are slaine, and thrust thorowe with a sword, which goe downe to the stones of the pit, as a carkeise troden vnder feete.
19 Mas você é atirado fora do seu túmulo, como um galho rejeitado; como as roupas dos mortos que foram feridos pela espada; como os que descem às pedras da cova; como um cadáver pisoteado,
20 Thou shalt not be ioyned with them in the graue, because thou hast destroied thine owne lande, and slaine thy people: the seede of the wicked shall not be renoumed for euer.
20 você não se unirá a eles num sepultamento, pois destruiu a sua própria terra, e matou o seu próprio povo. Nunca se mencione a descendência dos malfeitores!
21 Prepare a slaughter for his children, for the iniquitie of their fathers: let them not rise vp nor possesse the land, nor fil the face of the world with enemies.
21 Preparem um local para matar os filhos dele por causa da iniqüidade dos seus antepassados; para que eles não se levantem para herdar a terra e a cobrirem de cidades.
22 For I wil rise vp against them (sayth the Lord of hostes) and will cut off from Babel the name and the remnant and the sonne, and the nephew, sayth the Lord:
22 "Eu me levantarei contra eles", diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. "Eliminarei da Babilônia o seu nome e os seus sobreviventes, sua prole e os seus descendentes", diz o Senhor.
23 And I wil make it a possession to ye hedgehogge, and pooles of water, and I will sweepe it with the besome of destruction, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
23 "Farei dela um lugar para corujas e uma terra pantanosa; vou varrê-la com a vassoura da destruição", diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
24 The Lord of hostes hath sworne, saying, Surely like as I haue purposed, so shall it come to passe, and as I haue consulted, it shall stand:
24 O Senhor dos Exércitos jurou: "Certamente, como planejei, assim acontecerá, e, como pensei, assim será.
25 That I will breake to pieces Asshur in my land, and vpon my mountaines will I treade him vnder foote: so that his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden shall be taken from off their shoulder.
25 Esmagarei a Assíria na minha terra; nos meus montes a pisotearei. O seu jugo será tirado do meu povo, e o seu fardo dos ombros deles".
26 This is the counsell that is consulted vpon the whole worlde, and this is the hande stretched out ouer all the nations,
26 Esse é o plano estabelecido para toda a terra; essa é a mão estendida sobre todas as nações.
27 Because the Lord of hostes hath determined it, and who shall disanull it? and his hande is stretched out, and who shall turne it away?
27 Pois esse é o propósito do Senhor dos Exércitos; quem pode impedi-lo? Sua mão está estendida; quem pode fazê-la recuar?
28 In the yeere that King Ahaz died, was this burden.
28 Esta advertência veio no ano em que o rei Acaz morreu:
29 Reioyce not, (thou whole Palestina) because the rod of him that did beat thee, is broken for out of the serpents roote shall come forth a cockatrise, and the fruit therof shalbe a firy flying serpent.
29 Vocês, filisteus, todos vocês, não se alegrem porque a vara que os feria está quebrada! Da raiz da cobra brotará uma víbora, e o seu fruto será uma serpente veloz.
30 For the first borne of the poore shall be fed, and the needie shall lie downe in safetie: and I will kill thy roote with famine, and it shall slay thy remnant.
30 O mais pobre dos pobres achará pastagem, e os necessitados descansarão em segurança. Mas eu matarei de fome a raiz de vocês, e ela matará os seus sobreviventes.
31 Howle, O gate, crie, O citie: thou whole lande of Palestina art dissolued, for there shall come from the North a smoke, and none shalbe alone, at his time appointed.
31 Lamente, ó porta! Clame, ó cidade! Derretam-se todos vocês, filisteus! Do norte vem um exército, e ninguém desertou de suas fileiras.
32 What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.
32 Que resposta se dará aos emissários daquela nação? Esta: "O Senhor estabeleceu Sião, e nela encontrarão refúgio os aflitos do seu povo".
