1 The burden of Babel, which Isaiah the sonne of Amoz did see.
1 A carga de Babilônia, a qual Isaías, o filho de Amós, viu.
2 Lift vp a standard vpon the hie mountaine: lift vp the voyce vnto them: wagge the hand, that they may goe into the gates of the nobles.
2 Erguei vós um estandarte sobre o alto monte, erguei a voz para eles, agitai a mão, para que possam adentrar os portões dos nobres.
3 I haue commanded them, that I haue sanctified: and I haue called ye mightie to my wrath, and them that reioyce in my glorie.
3 Eu tenho ordenado aos meus santificados. Eu também tenho recrutado meus poderosos por minha ira, aqueles que se alegram na minha grandeza.
4 The noyse of a multitude is in the mountaines, like a great people: a tumultuous voyce of the kingdomes of the nations gathered together: the Lord of hostes nombreth the hoste of the battell.
4 O barulho de uma multidão nos montes, como de um grande povo. Um tumultuoso barulho de reinos de nações reunidos. O SENHOR dos Exércitos convoca o exército da batalha.
5 They come from a farre countrey, from the end of the heauen: euen the Lord with the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole land.
5 Eles vêm de uma nação distante, da extremidade do céu, o SENHOR, e as armas da sua indignação, para destruir toda a terra.
6 Howle you, for the day of the Lord is at hande: it shall come as a destroier from the Almightie.
6 Gemei vós, porque o dia do SENHOR está próximo. Ele virá como uma destruição vinda do Todo-Poderoso.
7 Therefore shall all hands be weakened, and all mens hearts shall melt,
7 Portanto, todas as mãos estarão desfalecidas e o coração de todo homem se derreterá.
8 And they shalbe afraid: anguish and sorowe shall take them, and they shall haue paine, as a woman that trauaileth: euery one shall be amased at his neighbour, and their faces shalbe like flames of fire.
8 E eles estarão atemorizados. Dores e tristezas sobrevirão. Eles estarão em dor como uma mulher que está em trabalho de parto. Eles estarão atônitos um com o outro. Suas faces serão como chamas.
9 Beholde, the day of the Lord commeth, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land wast: and he shall destroy the sinners out of it.
9 Eis que o dia do SENHOR chega, cruel, tanto com cólera quanto ira violenta, para deixar a terra desolada; e ele extirpará dela os pecadores.
10 For the starres of heauen and the planets thereof shall not giue their light: the sunne shalbe darkened in his going foorth, and the moone shall not cause her light to shine.
10 Porque as estrelas do céu e as constelações dele não darão sua luz. O sol estará escurecido no seu percurso e a lua não refletirá sua luz.
11 And I will visite the wickednes vpon the worlde, and their iniquitie vpon the wicked, and I wil cause the arrogancie of the proud to cease, and will cast downe the pride of tyrants.
11 E eu punirei o mundo pelo seu mal, e o perverso por sua iniquidade, e eu farei a arrogância do orgulhoso cessar e cessarei a arrogância do terrível.
12 I will make a man more precious then fine golde, euen a man aboue the wedge of golde of Ophir.
12 Eu farei um homem mais precioso do que o ouro refinado, exatamente mais precioso que a cunha de ouro de Ofir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heauen, and the earth shall remooue out of her place in the wrath of the Lord of hostes, and in the day of his fierce anger.
13 Portanto, eu sacudirei os céus, e a terra será removida para fora do lugar dela, na cólera do SENHOR dos Exércitos e no dia de sua violenta ira.
14 And it shall be as a chased doe, and as a sheepe that no man taketh vp. euery man shall turne to his owne people, and flee eche one to his owne lande.
14 E será como a corça afugentada, e como uma ovelha que nenhum homem ajuntou. Eles voltarão cada homem para seu próprio povo e fugirão cada um para o interior de sua própria terra.
15 Euery one that is founde, shall be striken through: and whosoeuer ioyneth himselfe, shall fal by the sworde.
15 Cada um que é encontrado é traspassado, e cada um que é colocado junto a eles cairá pela espada.
16 Their children also shall be broken in pieces before their eyes: their houses shall be spoiled, and their wiues rauished.
16 Os filhos deles também serão despedaçados diante de seus olhos. Suas casas serão saqueadas e suas esposas serão estupradas.
17 Beholde, I will stirre vp the Medes against them, which shall not regarde siluer, nor be desirous of golde.
17 Eis que eu incitarei os Medos contra eles, os quais não irão considerar prata, e quanto ao ouro, eles não terão prazer nele.
18 With bowes also shall they destroy ye children, and shall haue no compassion vpon the fruit of the wombe, and their eies shall not spare the children.
18 Seus arcos também irão despedaçar os jovens, e eles não terão piedade do fruto do útero, e seus olhos não pouparão as crianças.
19 And Babel the glorie of kingdomes, the beautie and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God in Sodom and Gomorah.
19 E Babilônia, a glória dos reinos, a beleza da excelência dos caldeus, será como quando Deus destruiu Sodoma e Gomorra.
20 It shall not bee inhabited for euer, neither shall it be dwelled in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch his tents there, neither shall the shepheardes make their foldes there.
20 Ela nunca será habitada, nem se fará morada nela, de geração a geração. Nem o árabe armará sua tenda lá, nem os pastores farão seu aprisco lá.
21 But Ziim shall lodge there, and their houses shall be ful of Ohim: Ostriches shall dwel there, and the Satyrs shall dance there.
21 Porém, animais selvagens do deserto repousarão lá, e suas casas estarão cheias de criaturas pesarosas. E corujas habitarão lá, e sátiros lá dançarão.
22 And Iim shall crie in their palaces, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and the time thereof is readie to come, and the daies thereof shall not be prolonged.
22 E os animais selvagens das ilhas uivarão em suas casas desoladas, e chacais em seus agradáveis palácios. A sua hora está próxima, e os seus dias não serão prolongados.
