1 Moveover the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
1 E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor , dizendo:
2 Sonne of man, Set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesie against it,
2 Filho do homem, dirige o rosto contra o monte Seir e profetiza contra ele.
3 And say vnto it, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, O mount Seir, I come against thee, and I wil stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee desolate and waste.
3 E dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová : Eis que eu estou contra ti, ó monte Seir, e estenderei a mão contra ti, e te porei em assolação e espanto.
4 I wil lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.
4 As tuas cidades porei em solidão, e tu te tornarás em assolação; e saberás que eu sou o Senhor .
5 Because thou hast had a perpetuall hatred and hast put the children of Israel to flight by the force of the sword in the time of their calamitie, when their iniquitie had an ende,
5 Pois que guardas inimizade perpétua e abandonaste os filhos de Israel à violência da espada, no tempo da extrema iniquidade.
6 Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil prepare thee vnto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: except thou hate blood, euen blood shall pursue thee.
6 Por isso, vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jeová , que te preparei para sangue, e o sangue te perseguirá; visto que não aborreceste o sangue, o sangue te perseguirá.
7 Thus will I make mount Seir desolate and waste, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
7 E farei do monte Seir uma extrema assolação e exterminarei dele o que por ele passa e o que por ele volta.
8 And I will fill his mountaines with his slayne men: in thine hilles, and in thy valleys and in all thy riuers shall they fall, that are slayne with the sworde.
8 E encherei os seus montes dos seus traspassados; nos teus outeiros, e nos teus vales, e em todas as tuas correntes, cairão os traspassados à espada.
9 I wil make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not returne, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
9 Em assolações perpétuas, te porei, e as tuas cidades nunca mais serão habitadas; assim sabereis que eu sou o Senhor .
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations, and these two countreys shalbe mine, and we wil possesse them (seeing the Lord was there)
10 Visto como dizes: Os dois povos e as duas terras serão meus, e os possuiremos, sendo que o Senhor se achava ali,
11 Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil euen do according to thy wrath, and according to thine indignation which thou hast vsed in thine hatred against them: and I wil make my selfe knowen among them whe I haue iudged thee.
11 portanto, vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jeová , que usarei conforme a tua ira e conforme a tua inveja, com que, no teu ódio, usaste contra eles; e serei conhecido deles, quando te julgar.
12 And thou shalt know, that I the Lord haue heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountaines of Israel, saying, They lye waste, they are giuen vs to be deuoured.
12 E saberás que eu, o Senhor , ouvi todas as tuas blasfêmias, que proferiste contra os montes de Israel, dizendo: Já estão assolados, a nós nos são entregues por pasto.
13 Thus with your mouthes ye haue boasted against me, and haue multiplied your words against me: I haue heard them.
13 Vós vos engrandecestes contra mim com a vossa boca e multiplicastes as vossas palavras contra mim; eu o ouvi.
14 Thus sayth the Lord God, So shall all the world reioyce when I shall make thee desolate.
14 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová : Enquanto se alegra toda a terra, a ti te porei em assolação.
15 As thou diddest reioyce at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I doe vnto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea wholly, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.
15 Como te alegraste com a herança da casa de Israel, porque foi assolada, assim te farei a ti; assolado serás, ó monte Seir, e todo o Edom, sim, todo; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor .
