1 And I sawe another mightie Angel come downe from heauen, clothed with a cloude, and the raine bowe vpon his head, and his face was as the sunne, and his feete as pillars of fire.
1 Vi então outro anjo vigoroso descer do céu, revestido de uma nuvem e com o arco-íris em torno da cabeça. Seu rosto era como sol, e as suas pernas como colunas de fogo.
2 And hee had in his hande a little booke open, and he put his right foote vpon the sea, and his left on the earth,
2 Segurava na mão um pequeno livro aberto. Pôs o pé direito sobre o mar, o esquerdo sobre a terra
3 And cried with a loude voyce, as when a lyon roareth: and when he had cried, seuen thunders vttered their voyces.
3 e começou a clamar em alta voz, como um leão que ruge. Quando clamou, os sete trovões ressoaram.
4 And whe the seuen thunders had vttered their voyces, I was about to write: but I heard a voice from heauen saying vnto me, Seale vp those things which the seuen thunders haue spoken, and write them not.
4 Quando cessaram de falar, dispunha-me a escrever, mas ouvi uma voz do céu que dizia: Sela o que falaram os sete trovões e não o escrevas.
5 And the Angel which I sawe stand vpon the sea, and vpon the earth, lift vp his hand to heauen,
5 Então o anjo, que eu vira de pé sobre o mar e a terra, levantou a mão direita para o céu
6 And sware by him that liueth for euermore, which created heauen, and the thinges that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the thinges that therein are, that time should be no more.
6 e jurou por aquele que vive pelos séculos dos séculos, que criou o céu e tudo o que há nele, a terra e tudo o que ela contém, o mar e tudo o que encerra, que não haveria mais tempo;
7 But in the dayes of the voyce of the seuenth Angel, when he shall beginne to blow the trumpet, euen the mysterie of God shalbe finished, as he hath declared to his seruants the Prophets.
7 mas nos dias em que soasse a trombeta do sétimo anjo, se cumpriria o mistério de Deus, de acordo com a boa nova que confiou a seus servos, os profetas.
8 And the voyce which I heard from heauen, spake vnto me againe, and said, Go and take the litle booke which is open in the hand of the Angel, which standeth vpon the sea and vpon the earth.
8 Então a voz que ouvi do céu falou-me de novo, e disse: Vai e toma o pequeno livro aberto da mão do anjo que está em pé sobre o mar e a terra.
9 So I went vnto the Angel, and saide to him, Giue me the litle booke. And he said vnto me, Take it, and eate it vp, and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shalbe in thy mouth as sweete as honie.
9 Fui eu, pois, ter com o anjo, dizendo-lhe que me desse o pequeno livro. E ele me disse: Toma e devora-o! Ele te será amargo nas entranhas, mas, na boca, doce como o mel.
10 Then I tooke the litle booke out of ye Angels hand, and ate it vp, and it was in my mouth as sweete as hony: but whe I had eaten it my belly was bitter.
10 Tomei então o pequeno livro da mão do anjo e o comi. De fato, em minha boca tinha a doçura do mel, mas depois de o ter comido, amargou-me nas entranhas.
11 And he said vnto me, Thou must prophecie againe among the people and nations, and tongues, and to many Kings.
11 Então foi-me explicado: Urge que ainda profetizes de novo a numerosas nações, povos, línguas e reis.
