1 And I sawe another mightie Angel come downe from heauen, clothed with a cloude, and the raine bowe vpon his head, and his face was as the sunne, and his feete as pillars of fire.
1 Então vi outro anjo poderoso descendo do céu, envolto numa nuvem, com um arco-íris sobre a cabeça. Seu rosto brilhava como o sol, e seus pés eram como colunas de fogo.
2 And hee had in his hande a little booke open, and he put his right foote vpon the sea, and his left on the earth,
2 Tinha na mão um livrinho aberto. O anjo pôs o pé direito no mar e o pé esquerdo na terra.
3 And cried with a loude voyce, as when a lyon roareth: and when he had cried, seuen thunders vttered their voyces.
3 Deu um forte grito, como o rugido de um leão, e os sete trovões responderam.
4 And whe the seuen thunders had vttered their voyces, I was about to write: but I heard a voice from heauen saying vnto me, Seale vp those things which the seuen thunders haue spoken, and write them not.
4 No momento em que os sete trovões falaram, eu estava prestes a escrever, mas ouvi uma voz do céu que disse: “Guarde em segredo as coisas que os sete trovões disseram, e não as escreva”.
5 And the Angel which I sawe stand vpon the sea, and vpon the earth, lift vp his hand to heauen,
5 Então o anjo que vi em pé sobre o mar e sobre a terra levantou a mão direita para o céu.
6 And sware by him that liueth for euermore, which created heauen, and the thinges that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the thinges that therein are, that time should be no more.
6 Jurou em nome daquele que vive para todo o sempre, que criou os céus, a terra, o mar e tudo que neles há. “Não haverá mais demora”, disse ele.
7 But in the dayes of the voyce of the seuenth Angel, when he shall beginne to blow the trumpet, euen the mysterie of God shalbe finished, as he hath declared to his seruants the Prophets.
7 “Quando o sétimo anjo tocar sua trombeta, o plano que Deus manteve em segredo se cumprirá, conforme ele anunciou a seus servos, os profetas.”
8 And the voyce which I heard from heauen, spake vnto me againe, and said, Go and take the litle booke which is open in the hand of the Angel, which standeth vpon the sea and vpon the earth.
8 A voz do céu falou novamente comigo: “Vá e pegue o livro aberto da mão do anjo que está em pé sobre o mar e sobre a terra”.
9 So I went vnto the Angel, and saide to him, Giue me the litle booke. And he said vnto me, Take it, and eate it vp, and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shalbe in thy mouth as sweete as honie.
9 Então me aproximei do anjo e lhe pedi o livrinho. “Pegue-o e coma-o!”, disse ele. “Ele será amargo em seu estômago, embora tenha um sabor doce como mel em sua boca.”
10 Then I tooke the litle booke out of ye Angels hand, and ate it vp, and it was in my mouth as sweete as hony: but whe I had eaten it my belly was bitter.
10 Peguei o livrinho da mão do anjo e o comi. Em minha boca, era doce como mel, mas, quando o engoli, tornou-se amargo em meu estômago.
11 And he said vnto me, Thou must prophecie againe among the people and nations, and tongues, and to many Kings.
11 Então me foi dito: “É necessário que você profetize outra vez a respeito de muitos povos, nações, línguas e reis”.
