1 In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.
1 No vigésimo sétimo ano do reinado de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, Azarias, filho de Amazias, rei de Judá, começou a reinar.
2 Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.
2 Tinha dezesseis anos de idade quando se tornou rei, e reinou cinqüenta e dois anos em Jerusalém. Sua mãe era de Jerusalém e chamava-se Jecolias.
3 And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.
3 Ele fez o que o Senhor aprova, tal como o seu pai Amazias.
4 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.
4 Contudo, os altares idólatras não foram derrubados; o povo continuava a oferecer sacrifícios e a queimar incenso neles.
5 And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.
5 O Senhor feriu o rei com lepra, até o dia de sua morte. Durante todo esse tempo morou numa casa separada. Jotão, filho do rei, tomava conta do palácio e governava o povo.
6 Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
6 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Azarias e todas as suas realizações, estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Judá.
7 So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.
7 Azarias descansou com os seus antepassados e foi sepultado junto a eles na cidade de Davi. Seu filho Jotão foi o seu sucessor.
8 In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,
8 No trigésimo oitavo ano do reinado de Azarias, rei de Judá, Zacarias, filho de Jeroboão, tornou-se rei de Israel em Samaria, e reinou seis meses.
9 And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
9 Ele fez o que o Senhor reprova, como seus antepassados haviam feito. Não se desviou dos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, levara Israel a cometer.
10 And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.
10 Salum, filho de Jabes, conspirou contra Zacarias. Ele o atacou na frente do povo, assassinou-o e foi o seu sucessor.
11 Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
11 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Zacarias estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Israel.
12 This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.
12 Assim se cumpriu a palavra do Senhor anunciada a Jeú: "Seus descendentes ocuparão o trono de Israel até a quarta geração".
13 Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.
13 Salum, filho de Jabes, começou a reinar no trigésimo oitavo ano do reinado de Uzias, rei de Judá, e reinou um mês em Samaria.
14 For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
14 Então Menaém, filho de Gadi, foi de Tirza a Samaria e atacou a Salum, filho de Jabes, assassinou-o e foi o seu sucessor.
15 Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
15 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Salum e a conspiração que liderou estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Israel.
16 Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.
16 Naquela ocasião, Menaém, partindo de Tirza, atacou Tifsa e todos que estavam na cidade e seus arredores, porque eles se recusaram a abrir as portas da cidade. Saqueou Tifsa e rasgou ao meio todas as mulheres grávidas.
17 The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.
17 No trigésimo nono ano do reinado de Azarias, rei de Judá, Menaém, filho de Gadi, tornou-se rei de Israel, e reinou dez anos em Samaria.
18 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
18 Ele fez o que o Senhor reprova. Durante todo o seu reinado não se desviou dos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, levara Israel a cometer.
19 Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.
19 Então Pul, rei da Assíria, invadiu o país, e Menaém lhe deu trinta e cinco toneladas de prata para obter seu apoio e manter-se no trono.
20 And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.
20 Menaém cobrou essa quantia de Israel. Todos os homens de posses tiveram de contribuir com seiscentos gramas de prata no pagamento ao rei da Assíria. Então ele interrompeu a invasão e foi embora.
21 Concerning the rest of the actes of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
21 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Menaém e todas as suas realizações, estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Israel.
22 And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his sonne did reigne in his steade.
22 Menaém descansou com seus antepassados, e seu filho Pecaías foi o seu sucessor.
23 In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.
23 No qüinquagésimo ano do reinado de Azarias, rei de Judá, Pecaías, filho de Menaém, tornou-se rei de Israel em Samaria, e reinou dois anos.
24 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
24 Pecaías fez o que o Senhor reprova. Não se desviou dos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, levara Israel a cometer.
25 And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.
25 Um de seus principais oficiais, Peca, filho de Remalias, conspirou contra ele. Levando consigo cinqüenta homens de Gileade, assassinou Pecaías juntamente com Argobe e Arié, na cidadela do palácio real em Samaria. Assim Peca matou Pecaías e foi o seu sucessor.
26 Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
26 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Pecaías e todas as suas realizações estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Israel.
27 In the two and fiftieth yere of Azariah King of Iudah began Pekah the sonne of Remaliah to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned twentie yeere.
27 No qüinquagésimo segundo ano do reinado de Azarias, rei de Judá, Peca, filho de Remalias, tornou-se rei de Israel em Samaria, e reinou vinte anos.
28 And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.
28 Ele fez o que o Senhor reprova. Não se desviou dos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, levara Israel a cometer.
29 In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.
29 Durante seu reinado, Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, invadiu e conquistou Ijom, Abel-Bete-Maaca, Janoa, Quedes e Hazor. Tomou Gileade e a Galiléia, inclusive toda a terra de Naftali, e deportou o povo para a Assíria.
30 And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.
30 Então Oséias, filho de Elá, conspirou contra Peca, filho de Remalias. Ele o atacou e o assassinou, tornando-se seu sucessor no vigésimo ano do reinado de Jotão, filho de Uzias.
31 Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.
31 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Peca e todas as suas realizações, estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Israel.
32 In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.
32 No segundo ano do reinado de Peca, filho de Remalias, rei de Israel, Jotão, filho de Uzias, rei de Judá, começou a reinar.
33 Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.
33 Ele tinha vinte e cinco anos de idade quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém. O nome da sua mãe era Jerusa, filha de Zadoque.
34 And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.
34 Ele fez o que o Senhor aprova, tal como seu pai Uzias.
35 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.
35 Contudo, os altares idólatras não foram derrubados; o povo continuou a oferecer sacrifícios e a queimar incenso neles. Jotão reconstruiu a porta superior do templo do Senhor.
36 Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?
36 Os demais acontecimentos do reinado de Jotão e as suas realizações, estão escritos nos registros históricos dos reis de Judá.
37 In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.
37 ( Naqueles dias o Senhor começou a enviar Rezim, rei da Síria, e Peca, filho de Remalias, contra Judá. )
38 And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.
38 Jotão descansou com os seus antepassados e foi sepultado junto a eles na cidade de Davi, cidade de seu pai. Seu filho Acaz foi o seu sucessor.
