1 In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.
1 No ano vinte e sete do reinado de Jeroboão II de Israel, Uzias , filho de Amazias, se tornou rei de Judá
2 Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.
2 com a idade de dezesseis anos. Ele governou cinquenta e dois anos em Jerusalém. A sua mãe se chamava Jecolias e era da cidade de Jerusalém.
3 And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.
3 Seguindo o exemplo do seu pai, Uzias fez aquilo que agrada a Deus, o Senhor .
4 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.
4 Mas os lugares pagãos de adoração não foram destruídos, e o povo continuou a oferecer sacrifícios e a queimar incenso naqueles lugares.
5 And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.
5 O Senhor Deus feriu o rei Uzias, e ele ficou sofrendo de uma doença contagiosa da pele até o fim da sua vida. Ele morava numa casa separada, e era o seu filho Jotão quem cuidava das coisas do governo e reinava no país.
6 Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
6 Todas as outras coisas que Uzias fez estão escritas na História dos Reis de Judá .
7 So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.
7 Uzias morreu e foi sepultado nos túmulos dos reis, na Cidade de Davi , e o seu filho Jotão ficou no lugar dele como rei.
8 In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,
8 No ano trinta e oito do reinado de Uzias, de Judá, Zacarias, filho de Jeroboão II, se tornou rei de Israel e governou seis meses em Samaria.
9 And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
9 Como aqueles que haviam sido reis antes dele, Zacarias fez coisas erradas, que não agradam a Deus, o Senhor . Ele não abandonou aqueles mesmos pecados que o rei Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, havia feito o povo de Israel cometer no passado.
10 And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.
10 Salum, filho de Jabes, fez uma revolta contra o rei Zacarias, matou-o na cidade de Ibleão e ficou no lugar dele como rei.
11 Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
11 Todas as outras coisas que Zacarias fez estão escritas na História dos Reis de Israel .
12 This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.
12 E assim foi cumprida a promessa que o Senhor havia feito ao rei Jeú: “Os seus descendentes serão reis de Israel até a quarta geração .”
13 Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.
13 No ano trinta e nove do reinado de Uzias, de Judá, Salum, filho de Jabes, se tornou rei de Israel e governou um mês em Samaria.
14 For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
14 Menaém, filho de Gadi, foi da cidade de Tirza até Samaria, matou Salum e ficou no lugar dele como rei.
15 Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
15 Todas as outras coisas que Salum fez e também a história da sua revolta, tudo está escrito na História dos Reis de Israel .
16 Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.
16 Menaém destruiu a cidade de Tapua, matou os seus moradores e arrasou a região vizinha até Tirza; ele fez isso porque a cidade não se entregou a ele. Menaém mandou rasgar a barriga de todas as mulheres grávidas.
17 The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.
17 No ano trinta e nove do reinado de Uzias, de Judá, Menaém, filho de Gadi, se tornou rei de Israel e governou dez anos em Samaria.
18 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
18 Ele fez coisas erradas, que não agradam a Deus, o Senhor . Nunca abandonou aqueles mesmos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, havia feito o povo de Israel cometer no passado.
19 Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.
19 Tiglate-Pileser , rei da Assíria, invadiu a terra de Israel, e Menaém lhe entregou trinta e quatro toneladas de prata para que ele o ajudasse a se firmar no poder.
20 And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.
20 Para conseguir esse dinheiro, Menaém obrigou os homens ricos de Israel a contribuírem com cinquenta barras de prata cada um. E assim Tiglate-Pileser voltou para a sua terra.

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his sonne did reigne in his steade.
22 Ele morreu e foi sepultado, e o seu filho Pecaías ficou no lugar dele como rei.
23 In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.
23 No ano cinquenta do reinado de Uzias, de Judá, Pecaías, filho de Menaém, se tornou rei de Israel e governou dois anos em Samaria.
24 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
24 Ele fez coisas erradas, que não agradam a Deus, o Senhor , e nunca abandonou aqueles mesmos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, havia feito o povo de Israel cometer no passado.
25 And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.
25 Um oficial do exército de Pecaías, chamado Peca, filho de Remalias, junto com cinquenta homens de Gileade, fez uma revolta, matou Pecaías na fortaleza do palácio de Samaria e ficou no lugar dele como rei.
26 Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

27 In the two and fiftieth yere of Azariah King of Iudah began Pekah the sonne of Remaliah to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned twentie yeere.
27 No ano cinquenta e dois do reinado de Uzias, de Judá, Peca, filho de Remalias, se tornou rei de Israel e governou vinte anos em Samaria.
28 And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.
28 Ele fez coisas erradas, que não agradam a Deus, o Senhor , e nunca abandonou aqueles mesmos pecados que Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, havia feito o povo de Israel cometer no passado.
29 In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.
29 Foi durante o reinado de Peca que Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, conquistou as cidades de Ijom, Abel-Bete-Maacá, Janoa, Quedes, Hazor e as regiões de Gileade, Galileia e Naftali e levou os seus moradores como prisioneiros para a Assíria.
30 And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.
30 No ano vinte do reinado de Jotão, filho de Uzias, como rei de Judá, Oseias, filho de Elá, fez uma revolta contra o rei Peca, matou-o e ficou no lugar dele como rei.
31 Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.

32 In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.
32 No segundo ano do reinado de Peca, filho de Remalias, como rei de Israel, Jotão, filho de Uzias, se tornou rei de Judá
33 Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.
33 com a idade de vinte e cinco anos. Ele governou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém. A sua mãe se chamava Jerusa e era filha de Zadoque.
34 And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.
34 Seguindo o exemplo de Uzias, o seu pai, Jotão fez aquilo que agrada a Deus, o Senhor .
35 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.
35 Mas os lugares pagãos de adoração não foram destruídos, e o povo continuou a oferecer sacrifícios e a queimar incenso naqueles lugares. Foi Jotão quem construiu o Portão Norte do Templo.
36 Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?
36 Todas as outras coisas que Jotão fez estão escritas na História dos Reis de Judá .
37 In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.
37 Foi durante o reinado dele que pela primeira vez o Senhor mandou Rezim, rei da Síria, e Peca, rei de Israel, atacar Judá.
38 And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.
38 Jotão morreu e foi sepultado nos túmulos dos reis, na Cidade de Davi , e o seu filho Acaz ficou no lugar dele como rei.
