1 Then Salomon the sonne of Dauid was confirmed in his kingdome: and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him highly.
1 Salomão, filho de Davi, fortaleceu-se no seu reino; e o SENHOR seu Deus era com ele, e o engrandeceu sobremaneira.
2 And Salomon spake vnto all Israel, to the captaines of thousandes, and of hundreths, and to the iudges, and to all the gouernours in all Israel, euen the chiefe fathers.
2 E falou Salomão a todo o Israel, aos capitães de mil e de cem, aos juízes e a todos os governadores em todo o Israel, chefes das famílias.
3 So Salomon and all the Congregation with him went to the hie place that was at Gibeon: for there was the Tabernacle of the Congregation of God which Moses the seruant of the Lord had made in the wildernesse.
3 E foi Salomão, e toda a congregação com ele, ao alto que estava em Gibeom, porque ali estava a tenda da congregação de Deus, que Moisés, servo do Senhor, tinha feito no deserto.
4 But the Arke of God had Dauid brought vp from Kiriath-iearim, when Dauid had made preparation for it: for he had pitched a tent for it in Ierusalem.
4 Mas Davi tinha feito subir a arca de Deus de Quiriate-Jearim ao lugar que lhe preparara; porque lhe tinha armado uma tenda em Jerusalém.
5 Moreouer the brasen altar that Bezaleel the sonne of Vri, the sonne of Hur had made, did hee set before the Tabernacle of the Lord: and Salomon and the Congregation sought it.
5 Também o altar de cobre que tinha feito Bezaleel, filho de Uri, filho de Hur, estava ali diante do tabernáculo do Senhor; e Salomão e a congregação o buscavam.
6 And Salomon offred there before the Lord vpon the brasen altar that was in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: euen a thousand burnt offrings offred he vpon it.
6 E Salomão ofereceu ali sacrifícios perante o Senhor, sobre o altar de cobre que estava na tenda da congregação; e ofereceu sobre ele mil holocaustos.
7 The same night did God appeare vnto Salomon, and sayde vnto him, Aske what I shall giue thee.
7 Naquela mesma noite Deus apareceu a Salomão, e disse-lhe: Pede o que queres que eu te dê.
8 And Salomon sayde vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father and hast made me to reigne in his stead.
8 E Salomão disse a Deus: Tu usaste de grande benignidade com meu pai Davi, e a mim me fizeste rei em seu lugar.
9 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be true: for thou hast made mee King ouer a great people, like to the dust of the earth.
9 Agora, pois, ó Senhor Deus, confirme-se a tua palavra, dada a meu pai Davi; porque tu me fizeste reinar sobre um povo numeroso como o pó da terra.
10 Giue me now wisdome and knowledge, that I may go out and go in before this people: for who can iudge this thy great people?
10 Dá-me, pois, agora, sabedoria e conhecimento, para que possa sair e entrar perante este povo; pois quem poderia julgar a este tão grande povo?
11 And God sayde to Salomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, treasures nor honour, nor the liues of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life, but hast asked for thee wisdome and knowledge that thou mightest iudge my people, ouer whome I haue made thee King,
11 Então Deus disse a Salomão: Porquanto houve isto no teu coração, e não pediste riquezas, bens, ou honra, nem a morte dos que te odeiam, nem tampouco pediste muitos dias de vida, mas pediste para ti sabedoria e conhecimento, para poderes julgar a meu povo, sobre o qual te constituí rei,
12 Wisdome and knowledge is granted vnto thee, and I will giue thee riches and treasures and honour, so that there hath not bene the like among the Kings which were before thee, neither after thee shall there be the like.
12 Sabedoria e conhecimento te são dados; e te darei riquezas, bens e honra, quais não teve nenhum rei antes de ti, e nem depois de ti haverá.
13 Then Salomon came from the hie place, that was at Gibeon, to Ierusalem from before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and reigned ouer Israel.
13 Assim Salomão veio a Jerusalém, do alto que estava em Gibeom, de diante da tenda da congregação; e reinou sobre Israel.
14 And Salomon gathered the charets and horesemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome he placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
14 E Salomão ajuntou carros e cavaleiros, e teve mil e quatrocentos carros, e doze mil cavaleiros; os quais pôs nas cidades dos carros, e junto ao rei em Jerusalém.
15 And the King gaue siluer and gold at Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde figge trees, that are abundantly in the playne.
15 E fez o rei que houvesse ouro e prata em Jerusalém como pedras; e cedros em tanta abundância como figueiras bravas que há pelas campinas.
16 Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the fine linen for a price.
16 E os cavalos, que tinha Salomão, eram trazidos do Egito; e os mercadores do rei os recebiam em tropas, cada uma pelo seu preço.
17 They came vp also and brought out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer, that is an horse for an hundreth and fiftie: and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites, and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.
17 E faziam subir e sair do Egito cada carro por seiscentos siclos de prata, e cada cavalo por cento e cinqüenta; e assim, por meio deles eram para todos os reis dos heteus, e para os reis da Síria.
