1 The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
1 Os descendentes de Judá foram: Perez, Hezrom, Carmi, Hur e Sobal.
2 And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
2 Reaías, filho de Sobal, gerou Jaate. Jaate gerou Aumai e Laade. Esses foram os clãs dos zoratitas.
3 And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
3 Os descendentes de Etã foram: Jezreel, Isma e Idbás, sua irmã Hazelelponi,
4 And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
4 Penuel, pai de Gedor, e Ézer, pai de Husá. Todos esses foram descendentes de Hur, o filho mais velho de Efrata, antepassado de Belém.
5 But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
5 Asur, pai de Tecoa, teve duas esposas: Helá e Naará.
6 And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
6 Naará deu à luz Auzã, Héfer, Temeni e Haastari.
7 And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
7 Helá deu à luz Zerete, Izar, Etnã
8 Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
8 e Coz, antepassado de Anube, Zobeba e todos os clãs de Aarel, filho de Harum.
9 But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
9 Havia um homem chamado Jabez, mais respeitado que qualquer um de seus irmãos. Sua mãe lhe deu o nome de Jabez, porque disse: “Eu o dei à luz com muita dor”.
10 And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.
10 Jabez orou ao Deus de Israel: “Ah, como seria bom se me abençoasses e expandisses meu território! Sê comigo em tudo que eu fizer e guarda-me de todo mal e aflição!”. E Deus atendeu a seu pedido.
11 And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
11 Quelube, irmão de Suá, gerou Meir. Meir gerou Estom.
12 And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
12 Estom gerou Bete-Rafa, Paseia e Teína. Teína gerou Ir-Naás. Esses foram os habitantes de Reca.
13 And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
13 Os filhos de Quenaz foram: Otniel e Seraías. Os filhos de Otniel foram: Hatate e Meonotai.
14 And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
14 Meonotai gerou Ofra. Seraías gerou Joabe, fundador de Ge-Harasim, assim chamada porque seus habitantes eram artesãos.
15 And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
15 Os filhos de Calebe, filho de Jefoné, foram: Iru, Elá e Naã. O filho de Elá foi Quenaz.
16 And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
16 Os filhos de Jealelel foram: Zife, Zifa, Tiria e Asareel.
17 And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
17 Os filhos de Ezra foram: Jéter, Merede, Éfer e Jalom. Uma das esposas de Merede deu à luz Miriã, Samai e Isbá, pai de Estemoa.
18 Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
18 Ele se casou com uma mulher de Judá que deu à luz Jerede, pai de Gedor, Héber, pai de Socó, e Jecutiel, pai de Zanoa. Merede também se casou com Bitia, filha do faraó, e ela lhe deu filhos.
19 And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
19 A esposa de Hodias era irmã de Naã. Um de seus filhos gerou Queila, o garmita, e o outro gerou Estemoa, o maacatita.
20 And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
20 Os filhos de Simão foram: Amnom, Rina, Ben-Hanã e Tilom. Os filhos de Isi foram: Zoete e Ben-Zoete.
21 The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
21 Os descendentes de Selá, filho de Judá, foram: Er, pai de Leca; Laada, pai de Maressa; os clãs dos que trabalham com linho em Bete-Asbeia;
22 And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.
22 Joquim; os homens de Cozeba; Joás e Sarafe, que governaram Moabe e Jasubi-Leém. Esses nomes vêm de registros antigos.
23 These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
23 Eram oleiros que habitavam em Netaim e em Gederá e que trabalhavam para o rei.
24 The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
24 Os filhos de Simeão foram: Jemuel, Jamim, Jaribe, Zoar e Saul.
25 Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
25 Os descendentes de Saul foram: Salum, Mibsão e Misma.
26 And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
26 Os descendentes de Misma foram: Hamuel, Zacur e Simei.
27 And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
27 Simei teve dezesseis filhos e seis filhas, mas nenhum de seus irmãos teve uma família grande. Por isso a tribo de Simeão nunca chegou a ser tão numerosa quanto a tribo de Judá.
28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
28 Habitavam em Berseba, Moladá, Hazar-Sual,
29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
29 Bila, Azém, Tolade,
30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
30 Betuel, Hormá, Ziclague,
31 And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
31 Bete-Marcabote, Hazar-Susim, Bete-Biri e Saaraim. Essas cidades permaneceram sob seu controle até o tempo do rei Davi.
32 And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
32 Seus descendentes também habitavam em Etã, Aim, Rimom, Toquém e Asã, cinco cidades
33 And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
33 com os povoados ao seu redor, até Baalate. Esse era seu território, e esses nomes estão listados em seus registros genealógicos.
34 And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
34 Outros descendentes de Simeão foram: Mesobabe, Janleque, Josa, filho de Amazias;
35 And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
35 Joel, Jeú, filho de Josibias, filho de Seraías, filho de Asiel;
36 And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
36 Elioenai, Jaacobá, Jesoaías, Asaías, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaia
37 And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
37 e Ziza, filho de Sifi, filho de Alom, filho de Jedaías, filho de Sinri e filho de Semaías.
38 These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
38 Esses foram os nomes de alguns dos chefes dos clãs de Simeão. Suas famílias cresceram muito
39 And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
39 e mudaram-se para a região de Gerar, na parte leste do vale, à procura de pastos para seus rebanhos.
40 And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
40 Encontraram ali muitas pastagens boas, e a terra era ampla, tranquila e pacífica. Alguns dos descendentes de Cam tinham vivido naquela região.
41 And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
41 Mas, durante o reinado de Ezequias, rei de Judá, esses líderes de Simeão invadiram a região e destruíram completamente as habitações dos descendentes de Cam e dos meunitas. Hoje não resta vestígio deles. Mataram todos que viviam ali e tomaram a terra para si, pois queriam bons pastos para seus rebanhos.
42 And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
42 Quinhentos homens da tribo de Simeão invadiram o monte Seir, liderados por Pelatias, Nearias, Refaías e Uziel, filhos de Isi.
43 And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
43 Destruíram os amalequitas que haviam sobrevivido, e habitam ali até hoje.
