1 The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
1 Os filhos de Judá foram: Perez, e Hezrom, e Carmi, e Hur, e Sobal.
2 And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
2 E Reaías, filho de Sobal, gerou a Jaate; e Jaate gerou a Aumai e a Laade; estas são as famílias dos zorateus.
3 And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
3 E estes foram os filhos do pai de Etã: Jezreel, e Isma, e Idbas; e era o nome de sua irmã Hazelelponi;
4 And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
4 e mais Penuel, pai de Gedor, e Eser, pai de Husa; estes foram os filhos de Hur, o primogênito de Efrata, pai de Belém.
5 But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
5 E tinha Asur, pai de Tecoa, duas mulheres: Hela e Naara.
6 And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
6 E Naara deu à luz a Auzão, e a Héfer, e a Temeni, e a Haastari; estes foram os filhos de Naara.
7 And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
7 E os filhos de Hela: Zerete, Isar e Etnã.
8 Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
8 E Coz gerou a Anube e a Zobeba; e as famílias de Aarel, filho de Harum.
9 But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
9 E foi Jabez mais ilustre do que seus irmãos; e sua mãe chamou o seu nome Jabez, dizendo: Porquanto com dores o dei à luz.
10 And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.
10 Porque Jabez invocou o Deus de Israel, dizendo: Se me abençoares muitíssimo e meus termos amplificares, e a tua mão for comigo, e fizeres que do mal não seja aflito!… E Deus lhe concedeu o que lhe tinha pedido.
11 And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
11 E Quelube, irmão de Suá, gerou a Meir; este é o pai de Estom.
12 And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
12 E Estom gerou a Bete-Rafa, e a Paseia, e a Teína, pai de Ir-Naás; estes foram os homens de Reca.
13 And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
13 E foram os filhos de Quenaz: Otniel e Seraías; e filho de Otniel: Hatate.
14 And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
14 E Meonotai gerou a Ofra, e Seraías gerou a Joabe, pai dos do vale dos Artífices, porque foram artífices.
15 And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
15 E foram os filhos de Calebe, filho de Jefoné: Iru, Elá e Naã; e o filho de Elá: Quenaz.
16 And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
16 E os filhos de Jealelel: Zife, e Zifa, e Tiria e Asareel.
17 And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
17 E os filhos de Ezra: Jéter, e Merede, e Efer, e Jalom; e ela teve mais a Miriã, e Samai, e Isbá, pai de Estemoa.
18 Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
18 E sua mulher, judia, gerou a Jerede, pai de Gedor, e a Héber, pai de Socó, e a Jecutiel, pai de Zanoa; e estes foram os filhos de Bitia, filha de Faraó, que Merede tomou.
19 And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
19 E foram os filhos da mulher de Hodias, irmã de Naã: Abiqueila, o garmita, e Estemoa, o maacatita.
20 And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
20 E os filhos de Simeão: Amnom, e Rina, e Ben-Hanã, e Tilom; e os filhos de Isi: Zoete e Ben-Zoete;
21 The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
21 os filhos de Selá, filho de Judá: Er, pai de Leca, e Lada, pai de Maressa, e Selá foi também das famílias da casa dos obreiros de linho, em Bete-Asbeia,
22 And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.
22 como também Joquim, e os homens de Cozeba, e de Joás, e de Sarafe (que dominaram sobre os moabitas), e de Jasubi-Leém; porém estas coisas já são antigas.
23 These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
23 Estes foram oleiros e habitavam nas hortas e nos cerrados; estes ficaram ali com o rei na sua obra.
24 The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
24 Os filhos de Simeão foram: Nemuel, e Jamim, e Jaribe, e Zerá, e Saul,
25 Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
25 cujo filho foi Salum, e seu filho Mibsão, e seu filho Misma.
26 And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
26 E o filho de Misma foi: Hamuel, de quem foi filho Zacur, de quem foi filho Simei.
27 And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
27 E Simei teve dezesseis filhos e seis filhas; porém seus irmãos não tiveram muitos filhos; e toda a sua família não se multiplicou tanto como as dos filhos de Judá.
28 And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
28 E habitaram em Berseba, e em Molada, e em Hazar-Sual,
29 And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
29 e em Bila, e em Ezém, e em Tolade,
30 And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
30 e em Betuel, e em Horma, e em Ziclague,
31 And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
31 e em Bete-Marcabote, e em Hazar-Susim, e em Bete-Biri, e em Saaraim; estas foram as suas cidades, até que Davi reinou.
32 And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
32 E foram as suas aldeias: Etã, e Aim, e Rimom, e Toquém, e Asã; cinco cidades,
33 And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
33 com todas as suas aldeias que estavam em redor destas cidades, até Baal. Estas foram as suas habitações e suas genealogias.
34 And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
34 Porém Mesobabe, e Janleque, e Josa, filho de Amazias,
35 And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
35 e Joel, e Jeú, filho de Josibias, filho de Seraías, filho de Asiel,
36 And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
36 e Elioenai, e Jaacobá, e Jesoaías, e Asaías, e Adiel, e Jesimiel, e Benaia,
37 And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
37 e Ziza, filho de Sifi, filho de Alom, filho de Jedaías, filho de Sinri, filho de Semaías:
38 These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
38 Estes, registrados por seus nomes, foram príncipes nas suas famílias; e as famílias de seus pais se multiplicaram abundantemente.
39 And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
39 E chegaram até à entrada de Gedor, ao oriente do vale, a buscar pasto para as suas ovelhas.
40 And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
40 E acharam pasto fértil e terra espaçosa, e quieta, e descansada; porque os de Cam habitavam ali dantes.
41 And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
41 Estes, pois, que estão descritos por seus nomes, vieram nos dias de Ezequias, rei de Judá, e feriram as tendas e habitações dos que se acharam ali, e as destruíram totalmente até ao dia de hoje, e habitaram em seu lugar, porque ali havia pasto para as suas ovelhas.
42 And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
42 Também deles, dos filhos de Simeão, quinhentos homens foram às montanhas de Seir; e a Pelatias, e a Nearias, e a Refaías, e a Uziel, filhos de Isi, levaram por cabeças.
43 And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
43 E feriram o restante dos que escaparam dos amalequitas e habitam ali até ao dia de hoje.
