The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs BKJ
1 JAKUB, a servant of Aloha and of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, unto the twelve tribes who are dispersed among the nations: Peace.
1 Tiago, um servo de Deus, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo, às doze tribos que estão dispersas no exterior, saudações.
2 All joy shall be to you, my brethren, when you shall have entered into temptations many and various.
2 Meus irmãos, considerem tudo isso como alegria quando caírem em diversas tentações;
3 For you know that the proving of faith maketh you to possess patience;
3 sabendo disto, que a prova da vossa fé opera a paciência.
4 but to patience let there be a perfect work, that you may be complete and perfected, and in nothing be deficient.
4 Que a paciência, no entanto, realize a sua obra perfeita, para que sejais perfeitos e completos, sem vos faltar coisa alguma.
5 If any of you be deficient in wisdom, let him ask of Aloha, who giveth to all expansively, and upbraideth not, and it is given to him.
5 Se algum de vós tem falta de sabedoria, peça-a a Deus, que a todos os homens dá liberalmente, e sem acepção, e lhes será concedida.
6 But let him ask in faith, not wavering. For he who wavereth is like the waves of the sea which the wind disturbeth.
6 Mas peça-a com fé, não hesitando; porque o que hesita é como a onda do mar, que é levada pelo vento, e lançada de uma para outra parte.
7 And let not that man expect to receive any thing from the Lord,
7 Não pense tal homem que receberá alguma coisa do Senhor.
8 who is divided in his mind, and disturbed in all his ways.
8 O homem indeciso é instável em todos os seus caminhos.
9 But let the humble brother glory in his exaltation,
9 Deixe o irmão de baixa posição social se alegrar em que ele é exaltado.
10 and the rich in his humility; for as the flower of an herb, so he passeth.
10 Porém o rico, em seu abatimento; porque como a flor da erva ele passará.
11 For the sun ariseth in his heat, and drieth the herb, and the flower of it falleth, and the beauty of its appearance perisheth; so also the rich withereth in his reverses.
11 Porque o sol nasce com um calor ardente, e a erva seca, e a sua flor cai, e a graça da aparência perece; assim também se desvanecerá o rico em seus caminhos.
12 Blessed the man who endureth temptations: for when he hath been proved he shall receive the crown of life, which Aloha hath promised unto them who love him.
12 Abençoado é o homem que resiste a tentação; porque, tendo sido posto à prova, receberá a coroa da vida, que o Senhor prometeu aos que o amam.
13 Let no man say, when he is tempted, From Aloha I am tempted; for Aloha is not tempted with evils, and he no man tempteth.
13 Que homem algum, ao ser tentado, diga: Por Deus sou tentado; porque Deus não pode ser tentado pelo mal, e a nenhum homem tenta.
14 But each man from his concupiscence tempteth himself, and desireth, and is drawn away.
14 Mas cada homem é tentado, quando atraído e seduzido pela sua própria concupiscência.
15 And this desire conceiveth and beareth sin; and sin, when it is perfected, beareth death.
15 Depois, havendo a concupiscência concebido, gera o pecado; e o pecado, sendo consumado, gera a morte.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren;
16 Não erreis, meus amados irmãos.
17 every good gift and perfect from above descendeth, from the Father of lights, with whom is no alteration, nor the shadow of vicissitude.
17 Toda a boa dádiva e todo o dom perfeito vêm do alto, e descem do Pai das luzes, em quem não há mudança, nem sombra de variação.
18 He willed, and begat us by the word of truth, that we might be the first-ones of his creatures.
18 De sua própria vontade, gerou-nos pela palavra da verdade, para que fôssemos como primícias das suas criaturas.
19 And you, my beloved brethren, let every one of you be swift to hear, and slow to speak, and slow to be angry;
19 Portanto, meus amados irmãos, todo o homem esteja pronto para ouvir, tardio em falar, tardio em irar-se.
20 for the wrath of man the righteousness of Aloha worketh not.
20 Porque a ira do homem não opera a justiça de Deus.
21 Wherefore, remove from you all impurity and the abounding of wickedness, and with meekness receive the word which is engrafted in our nature, which is able to save your souls.
21 Portanto, rejeitando toda a imundície e superfluidade de malícia, recebei com mansidão a palavra em vós enxertada, a qual pode salvar as vossas almas.
22 BUT be doers of the word, and not hearers only, neither deceive yourselves.
22 E sede cumpridores da palavra, e não ouvintes apenas, enganando-vos a vós mesmos.
23 For if a man be a hearer of the word and not a doer of it, this (man) is like one who vieweth his face in a mirror;
23 Porque, se alguém é ouvinte da palavra, e não cumpridor, é semelhante ao homem que contempla o seu rosto natural em um espelho.
24 for he seeth himself and passeth, and hath forgotten what (manner of person) he was.
24 Porque ele contempla-se a si mesmo, e segue seu caminho, e logo se esquece que tipo de homem ele era.
25 But every one who looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he is not a hearer of the hearing of forgetfulness, but a doer of works; and this shall be blessed in his work.
25 Porém, aquele que atenta para a lei perfeita da liberdade, e nela persevera, não sendo um ouvinte esquecido, mas realizador da obra, este homem será abençoado em seu feito.
26 And if a man thinketh that he serveth Aloha, and holdeth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, of this man his service is vain.
26 Se algum homem entre vós parece ser religioso, e não refreia a sua língua, antes engana o seu próprio coração, a religião desse homem é vã.
27 For the service which is pure and true before Aloha the Father, is this, to visit the orphans and widows in their afflictions, and that a man keep himself from the world without blemish.
27 A religião, pura e imaculada diante de Deus e Pai, é esta: Visitar os órfãos e as viúvas nas suas tribulações, e manter-se sem manchas do mundo
