1 To victory, over Jeduthun, the psalm of David. Whether my soul shall not be subject to God; for mine health is of him. (\+em For the choirmaster, for Jeduthun, a song by David\+em*. Surely my soul shall be made subject under God; for my salvation, \+em or my deliverance, is\+em* from him.)
1 Somente em Deus espera silenciosa a minha alma; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 For why he is both my God, and mine health; mine up-taker, I shall no more be moved. (For he \+em is\+em* both my God, and my deliverer; yea, my defender, and I shall not be shaken, \+em or defeated\+em*.)
2 Só ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; é ele a minha fortaleza; não serei grandemente abalado.
3 How long fall ye on a man? all ye slain; as to a wall bowed, and as a wall of stone without mortar cast down. (How long shall ye fall upon a man? ye shall all be killed; ye shall be like a wall bowed down, yea, \+em like\+em* a stone wall without mortar thrown down.)
3 Até quando acometereis um homem, todos vós, para o derrubardes, como a um muro pendido, uma cerca prestes a cair?
4 Nevertheless they thought to put away my price, I ran in thirst; with their mouth they blessed, and in their heart they cursed. (Nevertheless they thought to put him down from his place of honour, and they delighted in lies; they blessed with their mouths, but they cursed in their hearts.)
4 Eles somente consultam como derrubá-lo da sua alta posição; deleitam-se em mentiras; com a boca bendizem, mas no íntimo maldizem.
5 Nevertheless, my soul, be thou subject to God; for my patience is of him. (Nevertheless, my soul, be thou made subject under God; for my hope of deliverance \+em is\+em* in him.)
5 Ó minha alma, espera silenciosa somente em Deus, porque dele vem a minha esperança.
6 For he is my God, and my saviour; mine helper, I shall not pass out. (For he \+em is\+em* my God, and my saviour; my helper, and I shall not be moved, \+em or shaken\+em*.)
6 Só ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; é a minha fortaleza; não serei abalado.
7 Mine health, and my glory is in God; God is the giver of mine help, and mine hope is in God. (My salvation, \+em or my deliverance\+em*, and my glory \+em be\+em* in God; God \+em is the giver\+em* of my help, and my trust is in God.)
7 Em Deus está a minha salvação e a minha glória; Deus é o meu forte rochedo e o meu refúgio.
8 All the gathering together of the people, hope ye in God, pour ye out your hearts before him; God is our helper [into] without end (All the gathering together of the people, trust ye in God, pour ye out your hearts before him; God \+em shall be\+em* our helper forever.)
8 Confiai nele, ó povo, em todo o tempo; derramai perante ele o vosso coração; Deus é o nosso refúgio.
9 Nevertheless the sons of men be(all in) vain; the sons of men be liars in balances, that they deceive of vanity into the same thing. (Nevertheless \+em the lives of\+em* the sons and daughters of men \+em be\+em* but a puff of air; yea, the sons and daughters of men all \+em be\+em* liars, and if you put them on a balance, their lives shall be lighter than a breath, \+em or a puff of air\+em*.)
9 Certamente que os filhos de Adão são vaidade, e os filhos dos homens são desilusão; postos na balança, subiriam; todos juntos são mais leves do que um sopro.
10 Do not ye have hope in wickedness, and do not ye covet ravens; if riches be plenteous, do not ye set the heart thereto. (Do not ye have trust in wickedness, and do not ye desire, \+em or lust after\+em*, stolen goods; if riches be plentiful, do not ye set your heart on it.)
10 Não confieis na opressão, nem vos vanglorieis na rapina; se as vossas riquezas aumentarem, não ponhais nelas o coração.
11 God spake once, I heard these two things; that power is of God (or that power belongeth to God),
11 Uma vez falou Deus, duas vezes tenho ouvido isto: que o poder pertence a Deus.
12 and, thou Lord, mercy is to thee; for thou shalt yield to each man by his works. (and, O Lord, that true love \+em is\+em* from thee; for thou shalt yield to each person according to his works.)
12 A ti também, Senhor, pertence a benignidade; pois retribuis a cada um segundo a sua obra.
