1 And Israel went forth with all things that he had, and he came to the well of (the) oath, (or And Jacob went forth with all that he had, and he came to Beersheba); and when sacrifices were slain there to [the] God of his father Isaac,
1 E Israel iniciou sua jornada com tudo que ele tinha, e veio a Berseba, e ofereceu sacrifícios ao Deus de seu pai Isaque.
2 he heard God by a vision in that night calling to him (or he heard God in a vision that night calling to him), and saying to him, Jacob! Jacob! To whom he answered, Lo! I am present.
2 E Deus falou a Israel em visões noturnas, e disse: Jacó, Jacó. E ele disse: Aqui estou.
3 God said to him, I am the full strong God of thy father; do not thou dread, go down into Egypt, for I shall make thee there into a great folk; (And God said to him, I am the very strong God of thy father; do not thou fear, but go down to Egypt, for there I shall make thee into a great nation;)
3 E ele disse: Eu sou Deus, o Deus de teu pai; não temas em descer ao Egito, porque lá eu farei de ti uma grande nação.
4 I shall go down thither with thee, and I shall bring thee turning again from thence (or and I shall bring thee back again from there), and Joseph shall set his hand on thine eyes.
4 Eu descerei contigo ao Egito, e eu também certamente te trarei de lá novamente. E José colocará a sua mão sobre os teus olhos.
5 Jacob rose from the well of (the) oath (or And then Jacob set out from Beersheba), and his sons took him, with their little children, and (their) wives, in the wains which Pharaoh had sent to bear the eld man,
5 E Jacó levantou-se de Berseba, e os filhos de Israel carregaram Jacó, seu pai, e seus pequenos, e suas mulheres, nas carroças que Faraó havia enviado para o levar.
6 and all things which he wielded in the land of Canaan; and he came into Egypt with [all] his seed,
6 E eles tomaram seu gado, e seus bens, que haviam obtido na terra de Canaã, e vieram ao Egito, Jacó e toda a sua semente com ele;
7 his sons, and their sons, and (all the) daughters, and all the generation(s) together.
7 seus filhos, e os filhos de seus filhos com ele, suas filhas, e as filhas de seus filhos, e toda a sua semente ele trouxe consigo para o Egito.
8 Forsooth these be the names of the sons of Israel, that entered into Egypt; Jacob with his free children. The first begotten is Reuben; (And these be the names of the children of Israel who went to Egypt; that is, the names of Jacob and his sons. The first-born \+em was\+em* Reuben;)
8 E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Israel, que vieram ao Egito, Jacó e seus filhos: Rúben, o primogênito de Jacó,
9 the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
9 e os filhos de Rúben: Enoque, e Palu, e Hezrom, e Carmi.
10 The sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Saul, the son of a woman of Canaan, (or and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman).
10 E os filhos de Simeão: Jemuel, e Jamim, e Oade, e Jaquim, e Zoar, e Saul, filho de uma mulher cananeia.
11 The sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
11 E os filhos de Levi: Gérson, Coate e Merari.
12 The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah. Forsooth Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan; and the sons of Pharez were born, Hezron, and Hamul. (The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zarah. And Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan; and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.)
12 E os filhos de Judá: Er, e Onã, e Selá, e Perez, e Zerá; mas Er e Onã morreram na terra de Canaã; e os filhos de Perez foram Hezrom e Hamul.
13 The sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
13 E os filhos de Issacar: Tola, e Puva, e Jó, e Sinrom.
14 The sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
14 E os filhos de Zebulom: Serede, e Elom, e Jaleel.
15 These be the sons of Leah, which she childed (to Jacob) in Mesopotamia of Syria, with Dinah, her daughter; all the souls of his sons and (of his) daughters (by Leah), (were) three and thirty. (These be the sons of Leah, whom she bare for Jacob in Paddan-aram, besides their daughter Dinah; all of his sons and his daughter by Leah, were three and thirty.)
15 Estes são os filhos de Lia, que ela deu a Jacó em Padã-Arã, com Diná, sua filha; todas as almas de seus filhos e de suas filhas foram trinta e três.
16 The sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
16 E os filhos de Gade: Zifiom, e Hagi, e Suni, e Esbom, e Eri, e Arodi, e Areli.
17 The sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah; and Serah, the sister of them, (or and their sister Serah). The sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.
17 E os filhos de Aser: Imna, e Isvá, e Isvi, e Berias, e Sera, irmã deles; e os filhos de Berias: Héber e Malquiel.
18 These were the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter, (or whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah), and (through whom) Jacob begat these sixteen persons.
18 Estes são os filhos de Zilpa, a qual Labão deu à sua filha Lia; e ela deu estes a Jacó, dezesseis almas.
19 The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife, were Joseph and Benjamin.
19 Os filhos de Raquel, mulher de Jacó: José e Benjamim.
20 And two sons were born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath, [the] daughter of Potipherah, priest of Heliopolis, childed to him (or bare for him).
20 E nasceram a José, na terra do Egito, Manassés e Efraim, que lhe deu Azenate, filha de Potífera, sacerdote de Om.
21 The sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, and Ehi, and Rosh, and Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
21 E os filhos de Benjamim foram Belá, e Bequer, e Asbel, e Gera, e Naamã, e Eí, e Rôs, e Mupim, e Hupim, e Arde.
22 These were the sons of Rachel, the which Jacob begat (or whom Jacob begat through her); all the persons were fourteen.
22 Estes são os filhos de Raquel, que nasceram a Jacó, ao todo foram catorze almas.
23 The son of Dan; Hushim.
23 E o filho de Dã: Husim.
24 The sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
24 E os filhos de Naftali: Jazeel, e Guni, e Jezer, e Silém.
25 These were the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter (or whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel). And Jacob begat these (through Bilhah); all the souls were seven.
25 Estes são os filhos de Bila, a qual Labão deu à sua filha Raquel; e ela deu estes a Jacó; todas as almas foram sete.
26 And all the men that entered with Jacob into Egypt, and went out of his thigh, without his sons’ wives, were sixty and six. (And so all those who went with Jacob to Egypt, and came out of his thigh, not including his sons’ wives, were sixty-six.)
26 Todas as almas que vieram com Jacó ao Egito, que saíram de seus lombos, fora as mulheres dos filhos de Jacó, todas as almas foram sessenta e seis.
27 Forsooth the sons of Joseph, that were born to him in the land of Egypt, were two men. (So) All the souls of the house of Jacob, that entered into Egypt, were seventy.
27 E os filhos de José, que lhe nasceram no Egito, foram duas almas. Todas as almas da casa de Jacó, que vieram ao Egito, foram setenta.
28 Forsooth Jacob sent Judah before him to Joseph, that he should tell to him, and he meet with them in Goshen. And when Jacob had come thither, (And Jacob sent Judah ahead, to tell Joseph to come and meet them in Goshen. And so when Jacob arrived there,)
28 E ele enviou Judá adiante até José, para direcionar sua face para Gósen, e eles vieram à terra de Gósen.
29 Joseph went up in his chariot to meet his father at the same place (or Joseph came up in his chariot, and met his father there). And he saw Jacob, and felled on his neck, and wept betwixt embracings, or embraces.
29 E José preparou sua carruagem, e subiu para encontrar Israel, seu pai, em Gósen, e se apresentou a ele, e se lançou ao seu pescoço, e chorou ao seu pescoço por um bom tempo.
30 And the father said to Joseph, Now I shall die joyful, for I have seen thy face, and I (shall) leave thee living.
30 E Israel disse a José: Agora, deixa-me morrer, pois eu vi a tua face, porque tu estás vivo ainda.
31 And Joseph spake to his brethren, and to all his father’s house(hold), (and said), I shall go up, and tell to Pharaoh, and I shall say to him, My brethren, and the house(hold) of my father, that were in the land of Canaan, be come to me,
31 E José disse a seus irmãos, e à casa de seu pai: Eu subirei, e anunciarei a Faraó, para dizer-lhe: Meus irmãos e a casa de meu pai, que estavam na terra de Canaã, vieram a mim;
32 and they be men keepers of sheep, and have busyness of flocks to be fed, (or and these men be shepherds, \+em and herdsmen\+em*, and be busy to feed their flocks, \+em and their herds\+em*); (and) they brought with them their sheep, and (their) great beasts, and all things which they might have.
32 e os homens são pastores, pois seu trabalho tem sido apascentar gado, e eles trouxeram seus rebanhos, e seu gado, e tudo que eles têm.
33 And when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your work?
33 E acontecerá que, quando Faraó vos chamar, e lhes disser: Qual é a vossa ocupação?
34 ye shall answer, We be thy servants, men shepherds, (or We, thy servants, be shepherds, \+em and herdsmen\+em*), from our childhood till into this present time, both we and our fathers. Soothly ye shall say these things, (so) that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for Egyptians loathe all keepers of sheep.
34 Vós direis: O negócio de teus servos tem sido com gado desde a nossa juventude até agora, tanto a nossa, como também de nossos pais, para que possais habitar na terra de Gósen, pois todo pastor é uma abominação para os egípcios.
