1 Forsooth in the valley of Mamre the Lord appeared to Abraham, (as he was) sitting in the door of his tabernacle, in that heat of the day. (And sometime later, by the terebinths of Mamre, the Lord appeared to Abraham, when he was sitting by the door of his tent, in the heat of the day.)
1 E o SENHOR apareceu a ele nas planícies de Manre, e ele sentou-se à porta da tenda no calor do dia.
2 And when Abraham had raised up his eyes, three men appeared to him, and stood nigh [to] him. And when he had seen them, he ran from the door of his tabernacle into the meeting of them, and he worshipped on [the] earth, (or And when he had seen them, he ran from the door of his tent to meet them, and he bowed low to the ground),
2 E ele elevou seus olhos e olhou, e eis que três homens estavam em pé com ele; e quando ele os viu, ele correu da porta da tenda para encontrá-los, e se curvou em direção a terra,
3 and said, Lord (or My lords), if I have found grace in thine eyes, pass thou not (by) thy servant,
3 e disse: Meu Senhor, se agora eu encontrei favor aos teus olhos, suplico que não passes de teu servo.
4 but I shall bring (thee) a little water, and your feet (can) be washed, and (so) rest ye (yourselves) under the tree;
4 Pegue um pouco de água, peço-vos, e lavai os vossos pés e descansai debaixo da árvore.
5 and I shall set (before you) a morsel of bread, and your heart (shall) be comforted; (and) afterward ye shall pass [forth]; for therefore (be) ye bowed (aside) to your servant. Which said (or And they said to him), Do thou as thou hast spoken.
5 E trarei um bocado de pão, e confortai os vossos corações; depois disso, passareis adiante, pois para isto vieste a vosso servo. E eles disseram: Faze como disseste.
6 (And) Abraham hasted into the tabernacle, to Sarah, and said to her, Haste thou, mix (up) three half bushels of clean flour; and make thou loaves baken under ashes.
6 E Abraão se apressou para dentro da tenda até Sara, e disse: Prepara depressa três medidas de farinha fina, amasse-a e faça bolos sobre a lareira.
7 Forsooth (then) he ran to the drove of beasts, and took thereof a calf most tender and best, and gave (it) to a servant, which hasted, and seethed the calf (or and boiled the calf);
7 E Abraão correu para o rebanho, e trouxe um novilho tenro e bom, e o deu a um jovem, e ele se apressou em prepará-lo.
8 and (then) he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had sodden, and set (it) before them; forsooth Abraham stood beside them under the tree. And when they had eaten,
8 E ele pegou manteiga, e leite, e o novilho que havia preparado, e o colocou diante deles; e ele ficou em pé junto deles debaixo da árvore, e eles comeram.
9 they said to him, Where is Sarah thy wife? He answered, Lo! she is in the tabernacle, (or Behold! she is in the tent).
9 E eles lhe disseram: Onde está Sara, tua esposa? E ele disse: Eis que está na tenda.
10 To whom the Lord said, I shall turn again, and I shall come to thee in this time, if I live; and Sarah, thy wife, shall have a son. When this was heard, Sarah laughed behind the door of the tabernacle. (And the Lord said to him, I shall return, and I shall come back to thee at this same time next year, as I live; and Sarah, thy wife, shall have a son. And when she heard this, Sarah laughed behind the door of the tent.)
10 E ele disse: Eu certamente retornarei a ti de acordo com o tempo da vida; e eis que Sara, tua esposa, terá um filho. E Sara o ouviu na porta da tenda, que estava atrás dele.
11 Forsooth both were old, and of great age, and woman’s terms ceased to be made to Sarah (or and a woman’s terms had ceased to be made with Sarah).
11 Ora, Abraão e Sara eram velhos e bem adiantados em idade, e cessou de estar com Sara a maneira das mulheres.
12 And (so) she laughed, saying privily, After that I (have) waxed eld, and my lord is eld, shall I give diligence to lust?
12 Por isso, Sara riu dentro de si, dizendo: Depois de tão envelhecida, eu terei prazer, e meu senhor sendo também velho?
13 Forsooth the Lord said to Abraham, Why laughed Sarah, thy wife, saying, Whether I an eld woman shall bear a child verily? (And the Lord said to Abraham, Why did thy wife Sarah laugh, and say, Shall I, an old woman, truly bear a child?)
13 E o SENHOR disse a Abraão: Por que Sara riu, dizendo: É verdade que eu, que sou velha, gerarei uma criança?
14 whether anything is hard to God? By the promise I shall turn again to thee in this same time, if I live; and Sarah shall have a son. (is there anything too hard for God to do? By my word, I shall return to thee at this same time, as I live; and Sarah shall have a son.)
14 Há alguma coisa difícil demais para o SENHOR? No tempo determinado, eu retornarei a ti, de acordo com o tempo de vida, e Sara terá um filho.
15 (And) Sarah was afeared for dread, and denied (it), saying, I laughed not. Forsooth the Lord said, It is not so, but thou laughedest.
15 Então Sara negou, dizendo: Eu não ri, pois ela estava com medo. E ele disse: Não, mas tu riste.
16 Therefore when the men had risen (up) from thence, they (ad)dressed the eyes against Sodom (or they directed their eyes toward Sodom); and Abraham went together (with them), leading them forth.
16 E os homens se levantaram dali, e olharam para Sodoma; e Abraão foi com eles para levá-los ao caminho.
17 And the Lord said, Whether I may cover from Abraham what things I shall do, (And the Lord said to himself, Can I hide from Abraham what things I am about to do?)
17 E o SENHOR disse: Eu ocultarei de Abraão as coisas que faço,
18 since he shall be into a great folk and most strong, and all nations of [the] earth shall be blessed in him? (For he shall become a great and a most strong nation, and all the nations of the earth shall pray to be blessed as he is blessed or and through him I shall bless all the nations of the earth.)
18 vendo que Abraão certamente se tornará uma nação grande e poderosa, e todas as nações da terra serão abençoadas nele?
19 For I know that Abraham shall command his children, and his house(hold) after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, and that they do rightfulness and doom, that the Lord bring for Abraham all things which he spake to Abraham, (or and that they do what is right and just, so that I shall bring to Abraham all the things that I have promised him).
19 Porque eu o conheço, que ele ordenará a seus filhos e sua casa depois dele, e eles guardarão o caminho do SENHOR, para fazer justiça e juízo, para que o SENHOR possa trazer sobre Abraão aquilo que dele tem falado.
20 And so the Lord said, The cry of men of Sodom and of men of Gomorrah is multiplied, and their sin is egregious greatly; (And so the Lord said to him, There is a great outcry against the people of Sodom and the people of Gomorrah, and their sin is highly egregious;)
20 E o SENHOR disse: Porque o clamor de Sodoma e Gomorra é grande, e porque o seu pecado é muito grave,
21 I shall come down, and see whether they have [ful] filled in work the cry that came to me, that I know whether it is not so. (and so I shall go down there, and see whether their deeds have warranted the outcry that came to me, and so that I know if it is so, or not.)
21 eu descerei agora e verei se eles fizeram segundo o clamor que veio a mim, e se não, eu saberei.
22 And they turned them[selves] from thence, and went to Sodom. Abraham soothly stood yet before the Lord, (And then two of the men went forth from there, and went down to Sodom. But Abraham stood yet before the Lord,)
22 E os homens voltaram as suas faces dali, e foram em direção a Sodoma, mas Abraão ainda estava em pé diante do SENHOR.
23 and nighed, and said, Whether thou shalt lose a just man with the wicked? (and he came over, and said to him, Shalt thou destroy the righteous along with the wicked?)
23 E Abraão se aproximou e disse: Tu destruirás também os justos com os ímpios?
24 if fifty just men be in the city, shall they perish together, and shalt thou not spare that place for fifty just men, if they be therein? (what if fifty righteous people be in the city, shall they perish along with the others, and shalt thou not spare that place for fifty righteous people, if they be there?)
24 Se porventura houver cinquenta justos na cidade, tu destruirás também e não pouparás o lugar por causa dos cinquenta justos que estão nela?
25 Far be it from thee that thou do this thing, and slay the just with the wicked, and that a just man be made as a wicked man; this is not thine that deemest all [the] earth; thou shalt not make this doom. (Far be it from thee that thou do this thing, and kill the righteous along with the wicked, and that the righteous be made like the wicked; this is not thee who judgest all the earth; no, thou shalt not make such a judgement.)
25 Esteja longe de ti fazer segundo essa maneira, matar os justos com os ímpios; e que os justos sejam como os ímpios, isso esteja longe de ti. Não fará justiça o Juiz de toda a terra?
26 And the Lord said to him, If I shall find in Sodom fifty just men in the midst of the city, I shall forgive to all the place for them. (And the Lord said to him, If I shall find in Sodom fifty righteous people in the midst of the city, I shall forgive the whole place for their sake.)
26 E o SENHOR disse: Se eu achar em Sodoma cinquenta justos na cidade, então eu pouparei todo o lugar por causa deles.
27 Abraham answered and said, For I began once (or For once I began), I shall speak to my Lord, since I am (but) dust and ashes;
27 E Abraão respondeu e disse: Eis que agora resolvi falar ao Senhor, que sou somente pó e cinzas.
28 what if less than fifty just men by five be, shalt thou do away all the city for five and forty? And the Lord said, I shall not do away, if I shall find five and forty there. (what if there be five less than fifty righteous people there, shalt thou do away all the city for forty-five? And the Lord said, I shall not do them all away, if I shall find forty-five righteous people there.)
28 Se porventura faltarem cinco dos cinquenta justos, tu destruirás toda a cidade pela falta de cinco? E ele disse: Se eu achar ali quarenta e cinco, eu não a destruirei.
29 And again Abraham said to him, But if forty be there, what shalt thou do? The Lord said, I shall not smite for forty (or I shall not strike them all down, for the sake of forty righteous people).
29 E falou-lhe mais uma vez e disse: Se porventura se acharem quarenta ali. E ele disse: Não o farei por causa dos quarenta.
30 Abraham said, Lord, I beseech, take thou (it) not into indignation, if I speak (again); what if thirty be found there? The Lord answered, I shall not do (it), if I shall find thirty there.
30 E ele lhe disse: Oh! Não se ire o Senhor, e eu falarei: Se porventura se acharem trinta ali. E ele disse: Não o farei, se eu encontrar trinta ali.
31 Abraham said, For I began once, I shall speak to my Lord; what if twenty be found there? The Lord said, I shall not slay for twenty. (Abraham said, For once I began, I shall speak again to my Lord; what if twenty be found there? The Lord said, I shall not slay them all, for the sake of twenty.)
31 E ele disse: Eis que agora ousei falar ao Senhor: Se porventura houver vinte ali. E ele disse: Não a destruirei por causa dos vinte.
32 Abraham said, Lord, I beseech, be thou not wroth, if I speak yet once (more); what if ten be found there? The Lord said, I shall not do away for ten. (And Abraham said, Lord, I beseech thee, be thou not angry, if I speak yet once more; what if ten be found there? And the Lord said, I shall not do them all away, if I shall find ten righteous people there.)
32 E ele disse: Oh! Não se ire o Senhor, e ainda eu falarei somente esta vez. Se porventura se encontrarem dez ali. E ele disse: Não a destruirei por causa dos dez.
33 The Lord went forth, after that he [had] ceased to speak to Abraham, and Abraham turned again into his place. (And then the Lord went forth, after that he had ceased to speak with Abraham, and Abraham returned to his home.)
33 E o SENHOR foi pelo seu caminho, assim que deixou de falar com Abraão, e Abraão retornou ao seu lugar.
