¹ And the Lord said to Moses, Now thou shalt see, what things I shall do to Pharaoh; for by [a] strong hand he shall deliver them, that is, the sons of Israel, and in [a] mighty hand he shall cast them out of his land, (or for with my strong hand, I shall compel him to let them go, \+em that is, the Israelites\+em*, and under my mighty hand, he shall throw them out of his land).

¹ Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Agora verás o que hei de fazer a Faraó; pois por uma poderosa mão os deixará ir, sim, por uma poderosa mão os lançará de sua terra.

² And the Lord spake to Moses, and said, I am the Lord,

² Falou mais Deus a Moisés, e disse-lhe: Eu sou Jeová.

³ that appeared to Abraham, and to Isaac, and to Jacob, I am Almighty God; and I showed not to them my great name Adonai, that is, Tetragrammaton. (who appeared to Abraham, and to Isaac, and to Jacob, I am Almighty God; but I did not tell them my great \+em and holy\+em* name, Yahweh, \+em or Jehovah\+em*;)

³ Apareci a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó, como o Deus Todo-Poderoso; mas pelo meu nome Jeová, não lhes fui conhecido.

⁴ and I made [a] covenant with them, that I should give to them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were comelings. (and I made a covenant with them, that I would give them the land of Canaan, the land where they lived as newcomers, \+em or as foreigners\+em*.)

⁴ Estabeleci o meu pacto com eles para lhes dar a terra de Canaã, a terra de suas peregrinações, na qual foram peregrinos.

⁵ I heard the wailing of the sons of Israel, in which the Egyptians oppressed them, and I had mind of my covenant. (I have heard the wailing of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians oppressed, and I have remembered my covenant.)

⁵ Ademais, tenho ouvido o gemer dos filhos de Israel, aos quais os egípcios vêm escravizando; e lembrei-me do meu pacto.

⁶ Therefore say thou to the sons of Israel, I am the Lord, that shall lead you out of the prison of the Egyptians; and I shall deliver you from servage; and I shall again-buy you in an arm straight out, and in great dooms; (And so say thou to the Israelites, I am the Lord, who shall lead you out of your Egyptian prison; and I shall rescue \+em you\+em* from your servitude, \+em or your slavery\+em*; and I shall buy \+em you\+em* back, \+em that is, redeem you\+em*, with an outstretched arm, and with mighty acts of judgement;)

⁶ Portanto dize aos filhos de Israel: Eu sou Jeová; eu vos tirarei de debaixo das cargas dos egípcios, livrar-vos-ei da sua servidão, e vos resgatarei com braço estendido e com grandes juízos.

⁷ and I shall take you to me into a people, and I shall be your God; and ye shall know, for I am your Lord God, which have led you out of the prison of (the) Egyptians, (and I shall make you my people, and I shall be your God; and ye shall know, that I am the Lord your God, who led you out of your Egyptian prison,)

⁷ Eu vos tomarei por meu povo e serei vosso Deus; e vós sabereis que eu sou Jeová vosso Deus, que vos tiro de debaixo das cargas dos egípcios.

⁸ and have led you into the land, on which I raised [up] mine hand, that I should give it to Abraham, and to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I shall give to you that land to be had in possession (or and I shall give you that land for a possession); I [am] the Lord.

⁸ Eu vos introduzirei na terra que jurei dar a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó; e vo-la darei por herança. Eu sou Jeová.

⁹ Therefore Moses told all things to the sons of Israel, which assented not to him for the anguish of spirit, and for the full hard work by which they were troubled. (And so Moses told all these things to the Israelites, but they assented not to him, because of the anguish of their spirit, and all their hard labour, \+em or all their tribulation\+em*.)

⁹ Assim falou Moisés aos filhos de Israel, mas eles não lhe deram ouvidos, por causa da angústia de espírito e da dura servidão.

¹⁰ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

¹⁰ Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:

¹¹ Enter thou, and speak to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that he deliver the children of Israel from his land. (Go thou, and tell Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, that he must let the Israelites go out from his land.)

¹¹ Vai, fala a Faraó, rei do Egito, que deixe sair os filhos de Israel da sua terra.

¹² Moses answered before the Lord, Lo! the children of Israel hear not me; and how shall Pharaoh hear, mostly since I am uncircumcised in lips? (Moses answered the Lord, and said, Behold! the Israelites will not listen to me; how then shall Pharaoh listen to me, especially since I am such a poor speaker?)

¹² Moisés, porém, respondeu perante o Senhor, dizendo: Eis que os filhos de Israel não me têm ouvido: como, pois, me ouvirá Faraó a mim, que sou incircunciso de lábios?

¹³ And the Lord spake to Moses and to Aaron, and he gave (them) behests to the sons of Israel, and to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that they should lead out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt. (Yea, the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, and gave them his commands concerning the Israelites, and Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, namely, that they should lead the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.)

¹³ Todavia o Senhor falou a Moisés e a Arão, e deu-lhes mandamento para os filhos de Israel, e para Faraó, rei do Egito, a fim de tirarem os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito..

¹⁴ These be the princes of the houses by their families. The sons of Reuben, the first begotten of Israel (or Israel’s first-born); Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these be the kindreds of Reuben.

¹⁴ Estes são os cabeças das casas de seus pais: Os filhos de Rúben o primogênito de Israel: Hanoque e Palu, Hezrom e Carmi; estas são as famílias de Rúben.

¹⁵ The sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Saul (or and Shaul), the son of a woman of Canaan; these be the kindreds of Simeon.

¹⁵ E os filhos de Simeão: Jemuel, Jamim, Oade, Jaquim, Zoar e Saul, filho de uma cananéia; estas são as famílias de Simeão.

¹⁶ And these be the names of the sons of Levi by their kindreds; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. Forsooth the years of the life of Levi were an hundred and seven and thirty.

¹⁶ E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Levi, segundo as suas gerações: Gérson, Coate e Merári; e os anos da vida de Levi foram cento e trinta e sete anos.

¹⁷ The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, by their kindreds.

¹⁷ Os filhos de Gérson: Líbni e Simei, segundo as suas famílias.

¹⁸ The sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred and three and thirty.

¹⁸ Os filhos de Coate: Anrão, Izar, Hebrom e Uziel; e os anos da vida de Coate foram cento e trinta e três anos.

¹⁹ The sons of Merari were Mahali and Mushi. These were the kindreds of Levi by their families.

¹⁹ Os filhos de Merari: Mali e Musi; estas são as famílias de Levi, segundo as suas gerações.

²⁰ Forsooth Amram took a wife, Jochebed, the daughter of his father’s brother, and she childed to him Aaron, and Moses, and Marie; and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and seven and thirty. (And Amram took a wife, his father’s sister Jochebed, and she bare him Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam; and Amram lived a hundred and thirty-seven years.)

²⁰ Ora, Anrão tomou por mulher a Joquebede, sua tia; e ela lhe deu Arão e Moisés; e os anos da vida de Anrão foram cento e trinta e sete anos.

²¹ Also the sons of Izhar were Korah (or And the sons of Izhar were Korah), and Nepheg, and Zichri.

²¹ Os filhos de Izar: Corá, Nofegue e Zicri.

²² Also the sons of Uzziel were Mishael (or And the sons of Uzziel were Mishael), and Elzaphan, and Zithri.

²² Os filhos de Uziel: Misael, Elzafã e Sitri.

²³ Soothly Aaron took a wife, Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Naashon, and she childed to him Nadab, and Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

²³ Arão tomou por mulher a Eliseba, filha de Aminadabe, irmã de Nasom; e ela lhe deu Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

²⁴ Also the sons of Korah were Assir (or And the sons of Korah were Assir), and Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these were the kindreds of Korah.

²⁴ Os filhos de Corá: Assir, Elcana e Abiasafe; estas são as famílias dos coraítas.

²⁵ And soothly Eleazar, son of Aaron, took a wife of the daughters of Putiel, and she childed Phinehas to him. These be the princes of the families of Levi by their kindreds.

²⁵ Eleazar, filho de Arão, tomou por mulher uma das filhas de Putiel; e ela lhe deu Finéias; estes são os chefes das casa, paternas dos levitas, segundo as suas famílias.

²⁶ This is (that) Aaron and Moses, to which the Lord commanded, that they should lead out of the land of Egypt the sons of Israel by their companies; (These be that Aaron and Moses, to whom the Lord commanded, that they should lead the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their companies, \+em or by their tribes\+em*;)

²⁶ Estes são Arão e Moisés, aos quais o Senhor disse: Tirai os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito, segundo os seus exércitos.

²⁷ these it be, that spake to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that they lead the sons of Israel out of Egypt; this is (that) Moses and Aaron, (these be the men, who spoke to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and told him to let them lead the Israelites out of Egypt; these be that Moses and Aaron,)

²⁷ Foram eles os que falaram a Faraó, rei do Egito, a fim de tirarem do Egito os filhos de Israel; este Moisés e este Arão.

²⁸ in the day in which the Lord spake to Moses in the land of Egypt. (on the day in which the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt.)

²⁸ No dia em que o Senhor falou a Moisés na terra do Egito,

²⁹ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said, I am the Lord; speak thou to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, all things which I speak to thee. (Yea, the Lord spoke to Moses, and said, I am the Lord; tell Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, all the things that I say to thee.)

²⁹ disse o Senhor a Moisés: Eu sou Jeová; dize a Faraó, rei do Egito, tudo quanto eu te digo.

³⁰ And Moses said before the Lord, Lo! I am uncircumcised in lips; how shall Pharaoh hear me? (But Moses said before the Lord, Behold! I am such a poor speaker! how will Pharaoh listen to me?)

³⁰ Respondeu Moisés perante o Senhor: Eis que eu sou incircunciso de lábios; como, pois, me ouvirá Faraó;
