¹ In those days Hezekiah was sick unto the death; and Isaiah, the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, The Lord God saith these things, Command to thine house, that is, make thy \+sls (last will and)\+sls* testament /Dispose to thine house (or Put thy house in order), for thou shalt die, and thou shalt not live.

¹ Naqueles dias Ezequias ficou enfermo de morte. E o profeta Isaías, o filho de Amoz, veio até ele e lhe disse: Assim diz o SENHOR: Põe a tua casa em ordem; porque morrerás e não viverás.

² And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and worshipped the Lord, and said,

² Então, ele virou a sua face para a parede, e orou ao SENHOR, dizendo:

³ I beseech, Lord, have mind, how I have gone before thee in truth, and in a perfect heart, and I did that, that was pleasant before thee. Then Hezekiah wept with a great weeping. (I beseech thee, Lord, remember, how I have gone before thee in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I did what was pleasing before thee. Then Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.)

³ Eu te suplico, ó SENHOR, lembra-te agora de como eu tenho caminhado diante de ti em verdade e com um coração perfeito, e tenho feito aquilo que é bom à tua vista. E Ezequias chorou amargamente.

⁴ And before that Isaiah went out half the part of the court(yard), the word of the Lord was made to Isaiah, and said,

⁴ E sucedeu que, antes de Isaías ter saído para o meio do pátio, que a palavra do SENHOR veio a ele, dizendo:

⁵ Turn thou again, and say to Hezekiah, the duke of my people, (or Return thou, and say to Hezekiah, the leader, \+em or the ruler\+em*, of my people), The Lord, (the) God of David, thy father, saith these things, I have heard thy prayer, and I saw thy tears, and lo! I have healed thee. In the third day thou shalt go up into the temple of the Lord,

⁵ Volve-te novamente, e conta a Ezequias, o capitão do meu povo: Assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Davi, o teu pai: Ouvi a tua oração e tenho visto as tuas lágrimas; eis que te curarei; no terceiro dia tu subirás para a casa do SENHOR.

⁶ and I shall add fifteen years to thy days; but also I shall deliver thee and this city from the hand of the king of Assyrians, and I shall defend this city for me, and for David, my servant, (or and I shall defend this city for my sake, and for the sake of my servant David).

⁶ E eu acrescentarei aos teus dias quinze anos; e livrarei a ti e a esta cidade da mão do rei da Assíria; e eu defenderei esta cidade por causa de mim mesmo, e por causa do meu servo, Davi.

⁷ And Isaiah said, Bring ye to me a gobbet of figs. And when they had brought it, and had put (it) on his botch/and had put it on the botch of Hezekiah, he was healed.

⁷ E Isaías disse: Toma uma pasta de figos. E eles a tomaram e a colocaram sobre a inflamação, e ele se recuperou.

⁸ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What shall be the sign, that the Lord shall heal me, and also that in the third day I shall go up into the temple of the Lord?

⁸ E Ezequias disse a Isaías: Qual será o sinal de que o SENHOR me curará, e de que eu subirei à casa do SENHOR ao terceiro dia?

⁹ To whom Isaiah said, This shall be a sign of the Lord, that the Lord shall do the word which he spake; wilt thou, that the shadow (of the sun) go further by ten lines, either turn again by so many degrees? (To whom Isaiah said, This shall be the sign from the Lord, that the Lord shall do the thing which he spoke; wilt thou, that the sun’s shadow go forward by ten degrees, or turn back by as many degrees?)

⁹ E Isaías disse: Este sinal tu terás do SENHOR, de que o SENHOR fará a coisa que falou: A sombra avançará dez graus, ou retrocederá dez graus?

¹⁰ And Hezekiah said, It is light, or easy, that the shadow increase by ten lines, neither I will that this be done, but that it turn again backward by ten degrees. (And Hezekiah said, It is easy for the shadow to increase by ten degrees, so I do not desire that this be done, but rather, that it go backward by ten degrees.)

¹⁰ E Ezequias respondeu: É pouca coisa que a sombra desça dez graus; não, mas que a sombra retorne dez graus.

¹¹ Then Isaiah, the prophet, called inwardly (upon) the Lord, and brought again backward by ten degrees the shadow by the same lines, by which it had gone down then in the horologe of Ahaz. (Then the prophet Isaiah inwardly called to the Lord, and brought the shadow backward by ten degrees, by the same lines by which it had gone forward on Ahaz’s sundial.)

¹¹ E Isaías, o profeta, clamou ao SENHOR; e ele trouxe a sombra dez graus para trás, pelos quais ela havia descido no mostrador de Acaz.

¹² In that time, Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, the king of Babylon, sent letters and gifts to Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick, and had recovered. (Now at that time, Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, the king of Babylon, sent letters and gifts to Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.)

¹² Naquele tempo, Merodaque-Baladã, o filho de Baladã, rei de Babilônia, enviou cartas e um presente para Ezequias; porque ele havia ouvido que Ezequias tinha estado enfermo.

¹³ And Hezekiah was glad in the coming of them (or And Hezekiah welcomed the messengers), and he showed to them the house of spiceries, and (the) gold, and silver, and diverse pigments, (and) also (the) ointments, and the house of his vessels, and all (the) things that he might have in his treasures; there was not any word, or thing, in his house, and in all his power, that Hezekiah showed not to them.

¹³ E Ezequias atentou a eles, e mostrou-lhes toda a casa das suas coisas preciosas; a prata, e o ouro, e as especiarias, e os unguentos preciosos, e toda a casa das armas, e tudo o que foi achado nos seus tesouros; não houve nada na sua casa, nem em todo o seu domínio, que Ezequias não tenha lhes mostrado.

¹⁴ Soothly Isaiah, the prophet, came to king Hezekiah, and said to him, What said these men, either from whence came they to thee? To whom Hezekiah said, They came to me from a far land, from Babylon. (And the prophet Isaiah came to King Hezekiah, and said to him, What did these men say to thee, and from where did they come? To whom Hezekiah said, They came to me from a far land, from Babylon.)

¹⁴ Então veio Isaías, o profeta, até ao rei Ezequias, e lhe disse: O que disseram estes homens? E de onde vieram eles a ti? E Ezequias disse: Eles vieram de uma terra longínqua, a saber, de Babilônia.

¹⁵ And he answered, What have they seen in thine house? Hezekiah said, They have seen all things, whatever things be in mine house; nothing is in my treasures, which I showed not to them. (And Isaiah asked, What have they seen in thy house? And Hezekiah said, They have seen everything that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasures, which I have not shown them.)

¹⁵ E ele disse: O que eles viram na tua casa? E Ezequias respondeu: Todas as coisas que estão na minha casa eles viram; não há nada entre os meus tesouros que eu não lhes tenha mostrado.

¹⁶ Therefore Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear thou the word of the Lord.

¹⁶ E Isaías disse a Ezequias: Ouve a palavra do SENHOR.

¹⁷ Lo! days (shall) come, and all things that be in thine house, and which things thy fathers made till into this day, shall be taken away into Babylon; not anything shall (still) dwell, saith the Lord, (or nothing shall be left, saith the Lord).

¹⁷ Eis que vêm dias em que tudo o que estiver na tua casa, e aquilo que os teus pais tiverem acumulado até este dia, será carregado para Babilônia; nada será deixado, diz o SENHOR.

¹⁸ But also of thy sons, that shall go out of thee, which thou shalt beget, shall be taken [away], and they shall be geldings in the palace of the king of Babylon (or and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon).

¹⁸ E dos teus filhos que sairão de ti, aos quais tu gerarás, eles levarão; e eles serão eunucos no palácio do rei de Babilônia.

¹⁹ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of the Lord, which he spake, is good; only peace and truth be in my days. (And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of the Lord, which thou spoke, is good; let there be only peace and truth in my days.)

¹⁹ Então, disse Ezequias a Isaías: Boa é a palavra do SENHOR que falaste. E ele disse: Se a paz e a verdade estiverem nos meus dias, não é boa?

²⁰ Forsooth the residue of [the] words of Hezekiah, and all his strength, and how he made a cistern, and a water conduit, and brought water into the city, whether these be not written in the book of [the] words of [the] days of the kings of Judah?

²⁰ E o restante dos atos de Ezequias, e todo o seu poder, e como ele abriu um tanque, e um canal, e trouxe água para dentro da cidade, não estão escritos no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Judá?

²¹ And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh, his son, reigned for him.

²¹ E Ezequias dormiu com os seus pais; e Manassés, o seu filho, reinou no seu lugar.
