1 E quando Abrão era da idade de noventa e nove anos, o SENHOR apareceu a Abrão, e lhe disse: Eu sou o Deus Todo-Poderoso; anda diante de mim, e sê perfeito.

2 E eu farei o meu pacto entre mim e ti, e multiplicar-te-ei excessivamente.

3 E Abrão caiu sobre a sua face, e Deus falou com ele, dizendo:

5 O teu nome não se chamará mais Abrão, mas teu nome será Abraão, pois pai de muitas nações eu te fiz.

6 E eu te farei extremamente fértil, e farei nações de ti, e reis sairão de ti.

9 E Deus disse a Abraão: Portanto, tu guardarás o meu pacto, tu, e tua semente depois de ti nas suas gerações.

10 Este é o meu pacto, que guardareis, entre mim e vós e tua semente depois de ti: Todo filho homem entre vós será circuncidado.

12 E aquele que tem oito dias será circuncidado entre vós, todo filho homem nas vossas gerações, aquele que é nascido em casa, ou comprado com dinheiro de algum estrangeiro, que não é da tua semente.

13 Aquele que é nascido em tua casa, e aquele que é comprado com teu dinheiro deverá ser circuncidado; e meu pacto estará na vossa carne como um pacto eterno.
14 As|strong="H5315" for|strong="H5315" the|strong="H3772" uncircumcised|strong="H6189" male|strong="H2145", who|strong="H1931" is|strong="H1931" not|strong="H3808" circumcised|strong="H4135" in|strong="H1320" the|strong="H3772" flesh|strong="H1320" of|strong="H5971" his|strong="H3808" foreskin|strong="H6190", that|strong="H5971" one|strong="H3808" will|strong="H5971" be|strong="H3808" cut|strong="H3772" off|strong="H3772" from|strong="H3772" his|strong="H3808" people|strong="H5971"; he|strong="H1931" has|strong="H5315" broken|strong="H6565" my|strong="H6565" covenant|strong="H1285".’
14 E o homem incircunciso cuja carne do seu prepúcio não for circuncidada, esta alma será cortada de seu povo; ele quebrou o meu pacto.
15 Then|strong="H3588" God|strong="H3808" said|strong="H7121" to|strong="H7121" Abraham, ‘As|strong="H3588" for|strong="H3588" Sarai|strong="H8297" your|strong="H3588" wife, do not|strong="H3808" call|strong="H7121" her|strong="H7121" name|strong="H8034" Sarai|strong="H8297", but|strong="H3588" Sarah|strong="H8283".
15 E Deus disse a Abraão: Quanto a Sarai, tua esposa, não chamarás seu nome Sarai, mas Sara será seu nome.
16 I|strong="H5414" will|strong="H1961" bless|strong="H1288" her|strong="H5414", and|strong="H1121" will|strong="H1961" give|strong="H5414" you|strong="H5414" a|strong="H3068" son|strong="H1121" from|strong="H4480" her|strong="H5414": I|strong="H5414" will|strong="H1961" bless|strong="H1288" her|strong="H5414", and|strong="H1121" she|strong="H1571" will|strong="H1961" become|strong="H1961" the|strong="H5414" mother of|strong="H1121" nations|strong="H1471"; kings|strong="H4428" of|strong="H1121" peoples|strong="H5971" will|strong="H1961" descend from|strong="H4480" her|strong="H5414".’
16 E eu a abençoarei, e te darei também um filho dela; e a abençoarei, e ela será uma mãe de nações; reis de povos virão dela.
17 Then|strong="H5307" Abraham fell|strong="H5307" on|strong="H5921" his|strong="H6440" face|strong="H6440" and|strong="H3967" laughed|strong="H6711", and|strong="H3967" said to|strong="H5921" himself|strong="H3820". ‘Will|strong="H1121" a|strong="H3068" child|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" born|strong="H3205" to|strong="H5921" one|strong="H1121" who|strong="H1121" is|strong="H3820" an|strong="H6440" hundred|strong="H3967" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121"? Will|strong="H1121" Sarah|strong="H8283" who|strong="H1121" is|strong="H3820" ninety|strong="H8673" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" bear|strong="H3205" children|strong="H1121"?’
17 Então Abraão caiu sobre sua face e riu, e disse no seu coração: Nascerá um filho àquele que tem cem anos de idade? E gerará Sara, com noventa anos de idade?
18 Abraham said to|strong="H6440" God|strong="H3863", ‘If|strong="H3863" only|strong="H3863" Ishmael|strong="H3458" might|strong="H3458" live|strong="H2421" with|strong="H6440" your|strong="H6440" blessing!’
18 E Abraão disse a Deus: Que Ismael possa viver diante de ti!
19 But|strong="H3205" God said|strong="H7121", ‘No|strong="H6965". But|strong="H3205" Sarah|strong="H8283" your|strong="H6965" wife is|strong="H8034" about|strong="H8034" to|strong="H3205" bear|strong="H3205" your|strong="H6965" a|strong="H3068" son|strong="H1121"; call|strong="H7121" him|strong="H3205" Isaac|strong="H3327". I|strong="H6965" will|strong="H1121" establish|strong="H6965" my|strong="H6965" covenant|strong="H1285" with|strong="H1285" him|strong="H3205" for|strong="H7121" an|strong="H6965" everlasting|strong="H5769" covenant|strong="H1285" for|strong="H7121" his|strong="H7121" descendants|strong="H2233" after|strong="H2233" him|strong="H3205".
19 E Deus disse: Sara, tua esposa, de fato te gerará um filho, e tu chamarás seu nome Isaque. E eu estabelecerei o meu pacto com ele como pacto eterno, e com sua semente depois dele.

Twelve|strong="H8147" princes|strong="H5387" he|strong="H5414" will|strong="H1471" father|strong="H3205", and|strong="H1419" I|strong="H5414" will|strong="H1471" make|strong="H5414" him|strong="H5414" a|strong="H3068" great|strong="H1419" nation|strong="H1471".
20 E quanto a Ismael, eu te ouvi: Eis que o tenho abençoado, e o farei frutífero, e o multiplicarei excessivamente; doze príncipes ele gerará, e eu farei dele uma grande nação.
21 But|strong="H3205" my|strong="H6965" covenant|strong="H1285" I|strong="H2088" will|strong="H2088" establish|strong="H6965" with|strong="H1285" Isaac|strong="H3327", whom Sarah|strong="H8283" will|strong="H2088" bear|strong="H3205" to|strong="H3205" you|strong="H3205" at|strong="H6965" this|strong="H2088" appointed|strong="H4150" time|strong="H4150" next year|strong="H8141".’
21 Mas, o meu pacto eu estabelecerei com Isaque, que Sara te gerará neste tempo determinado, no próximo ano.

23 E Abraão tomou Ismael, seu filho, e todos os que haviam nascido em sua casa, e todos os que haviam sido comprados com seu dinheiro, todo homem entre os homens da casa de Abraão, e circuncidou a carne de seu prepúcio no mesmo dia, como Deus lhe havia dito.

24 E Abraão era da idade de noventa e nove anos, quando ele foi circuncidado na carne de seu prepúcio.

25 E Ismael, seu filho, era da idade de treze anos quando ele foi circuncidado na carne de seu prepúcio.
