GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs ARA
1 In the eighth month of Darius’ second year as king, the Lord spoke his word to the prophet Zechariah, who was the son of Berechiah and the grandson of Iddo. He said,
1 No oitavo mês do segundo ano de Dario, veio a palavra do Senhor ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Baraquias, filho de Ido, dizendo:
2 “The Lord was very angry with your ancestors.
2 O Senhor se irou em extremo contra vossos pais.
3 Tell the people, ‘This is what the Lord of Armies says: Return to me, declares the Lord of Armies, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Armies.’
3 Portanto, dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Tornai-vos para mim, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, e eu me tornarei para vós outros, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
4 Don’t be like your ancestors, who heard the earlier prophets preach to them, ‘This is what the Lord of Armies says: Turn from your evil ways and your evil deeds.’ But they didn’t listen or pay attention to me, declares the Lord.
4 Não sejais como vossos pais, a quem clamavam os primeiros profetas, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Convertei-vos, agora, dos vossos maus caminhos e das vossas más obras; mas não ouviram, nem me atenderam, diz o Senhor .
5 Your ancestors—where are they now? And the prophets—are they still alive?
5 Vossos pais, onde estão eles? E os profetas, acaso, vivem para sempre?
6 Didn’t my warnings and my laws, which I’ve commanded my servants the prophets ⌞to preach⌟, finally catch up with your ancestors? Then your ancestors turned away from their sins and said, ‘The Lord of Armies has done to us what he had planned to do. He has dealt with us as our ways and deeds deserve.’ ”
6 Contudo, as minhas palavras e os meus estatutos, que eu prescrevi aos profetas, meus servos, não alcançaram a vossos pais? Sim, estes se arrependeram e disseram: Como o Senhor dos Exércitos fez tenção de nos tratar, segundo os nossos caminhos e segundo as nossas obras, assim ele nos fez.
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month (the month of Shebat) in Darius’ second year as king, the Lord spoke his word to the prophet Zechariah, who was the son of Berechiah and the grandson of Iddo.
7 No vigésimo quarto dia do mês undécimo, que é o mês de sebate, no segundo ano de Dario, veio a palavra do Senhor ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Baraquias, filho de Ido.
8 During that night I saw a man riding on a red horse. He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, chestnut, and white horses.
8 Tive de noite uma visão, e eis um homem montado num cavalo vermelho; estava parado entre as murteiras que havia num vale profundo; atrás dele se achavam cavalos vermelhos, baios e brancos.
9 “What do these horses mean, sir?” I asked.
9 Então, perguntei: meu senhor, quem são estes? Respondeu-me o anjo que falava comigo: Eu te mostrarei quem são eles.
10 The man standing among the myrtle trees explained, “They’re the horses the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”
10 Então, respondeu o homem que estava entre as murteiras e disse: São os que o Senhor tem enviado para percorrerem a terra.
11 Then they reported to the Messenger of the Lord standing among the myrtle trees, “We have patrolled the earth. The whole world is at rest and in peace.”
11 Eles responderam ao anjo do Senhor , que estava entre as murteiras, e disseram: Nós já percorremos a terra, e eis que toda a terra está, agora, repousada e tranquila.
12 Then the Messenger of the Lord said, “Lord of Armies, how much longer until you show compassion to Jerusalem and the cities of Judah? You’ve been angry with them for 70 years.”
12 Então, o anjo do Senhor respondeu: Ó Senhor dos Exércitos, até quando não terás compaixão de Jerusalém e das cidades de Judá, contra as quais estás indignado faz já setenta anos?
13 The Lord responded to the angel who was speaking with me, using kind and comforting words.
13 Respondeu o Senhor com palavras boas, palavras consoladoras, ao anjo que falava comigo.
14 The angel who was speaking with me said, “Announce: This is what the Lord of Armies says: I’m very jealous about Jerusalem and Zion,
14 E este me disse: Clama: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Com grande empenho, estou zelando por Jerusalém e por Sião.
15 and I’m very angry with the nations who think they are at ease. I was only a little angry, but they made things worse.
15 E, com grande indignação, estou irado contra as nações que vivem confiantes; porque eu estava um pouco indignado, e elas agravaram o mal.
16 This is what the Lord of Armies says: I have returned to Jerusalem with compassion. My house will be rebuilt in it, declares the Lord of Armies. A measuring line will be used to rebuild Jerusalem.
16 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor : Voltei-me para Jerusalém com misericórdia; a minha casa nela será edificada, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, e o cordel será estendido sobre Jerusalém.
17 “Announce again: This is what the Lord of Armies says: My cities will overflow with prosperity once more. The Lord will again comfort Zion and will again choose Jerusalem.”
17 Clama outra vez, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: As minhas cidades ainda transbordarão de bens; o Senhor ainda consolará a Sião e ainda escolherá a Jerusalém.
18 I looked up and saw four animal horns.
18 Levantei os olhos e vi, e eis quatro chifres.
19 So I asked the angel who was speaking with me, “What do these horns mean?”
19 Perguntei ao anjo que falava comigo: que é isto? Ele me respondeu: São os chifres que dispersaram a Judá, a Israel e a Jerusalém.
20 Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.
20 O Senhor me mostrou quatro ferreiros.
21 I asked, “What are they going to do?”
21 Então, perguntei: que vêm fazer estes? Ele respondeu: Aqueles são os chifres que dispersaram a Judá, de maneira que ninguém pode levantar a cabeça; estes ferreiros, pois, vieram para os amedrontar, para derribar os chifres das nações que levantaram o seu poder contra a terra de Judá, para a espalhar.
