4 Os limites dessa terra serão os seguintes: ao sul, o deserto; e, ao norte, os montes Líbanos; a leste, o grande rio Eufrates e toda a terra dos heteus; e, a oeste, o mar Mediterrâneo.

5 Você nunca será derrotado. Eu estarei com você como estive com Moisés. Nunca o abandonarei.

9 Lembre da minha ordem: “Seja forte e corajoso! Não fique desanimado, nem tenha medo, porque eu, o Senhor , seu Deus, estarei com você em qualquer lugar para onde você for!”
10 So|strong="H6680" Joshua|strong="H3091" gave|strong="H6680" orders|strong="H6680" to|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0853" leaders of|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0853" people|strong="H5971":
10 Então Josué ordenou aos líderes israelitas:
11 “Go|strong="H0935" through|strong="H5674" the|strong="H0853" camp|strong="H4264" and|strong="H0935" tell|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0853" people|strong="H5971", ‘Get|strong="H0935" some|strong="H5971" food|strong="H6720" ready|strong="H3559". 11 — Vão pelo meio do acampamento, dando esta ordem ao povo: “Arranjem comida porque daqui a três dias vocês vão atravessar o rio Jordão para tomar posse da terra que o Senhor , nosso Deus, lhes dará.”
12 Then|strong="H0559" Joshua|strong="H3091" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" tribes|strong="H7626" of|strong="H7626" Reuben|strong="H7206", Gad|strong="H1425", and|strong="H3091" half|strong="H2677" the|strong="H0559" tribe|strong="H7626" of|strong="H7626" Manasseh|strong="H4519",
12 E Josué disse às tribos de Rúben, de Gade e de Manassés do Leste:

13 — Lembrem da ordem de Moisés, servo do Senhor : “O Senhor , nosso Deus, dará esta terra a vocês para morarem nela e ali viverem em segurança.

14 As suas mulheres, as crianças e o gado ficarão aqui na terra que Moisés lhes deu a leste do rio Jordão. Mas que os homens peguem as suas armas e atravessem o rio na frente dos seus irmãos israelitas e estejam prontos para ajudá-los na batalha!

15 Eles tomarão posse da terra que o Senhor , nosso Deus, lhes dará e ficarão morando nela. Quando isso acontecer, vocês voltarão para viver na terra que Moisés, servo de Deus, deu a vocês aqui, a leste do Jordão.”
16 Then|strong="H6030" the|strong="H3605" people|strong="H0834" answered|strong="H0559" Joshua|strong="H3091", “We|strong="H0834" will|strong="H0834" do|strong="H6213" whatever|strong="H0834" you|strong="H0834" command|strong="H6680" us|strong="H0413" to|strong="H0413" do|strong="H6213". We|strong="H0834" will|strong="H0834" go|strong="H7971" wherever|strong="H0834" you|strong="H0834" tell|strong="H0559" us|strong="H0413" to|strong="H0413" go|strong="H7971".
16 Então eles responderam a Josué: — Faremos tudo o que você mandou e iremos aonde nos enviar.

17 Assim como sempre obedecemos a Moisés, também obedeceremos a você. Que o Senhor , seu Deus, esteja com você como esteve com Moisés!

18 Quem se revoltar e desobedecer a qualquer ordem sua será morto. Acima de tudo seja forte e corajoso!
