1 When he was come downe from the moutayne moch people folowed him.
1 Jesus desceu do monte, e muitas multidões o seguiram.
2 And lo ther came a lepre and worsheped him sayinge: Master if thou wylt thou canst make me clene.
2 Então um leproso chegou perto dele, ajoelhou-se e disse: — Senhor, eu sei que o senhor pode me curar se quiser.
3 And Iesus put forthe hys hond and touched hym sayinge: I wyll be thou clene and immediatly hys leprosie was clensed.
3 Jesus estendeu a mão, tocou nele e disse: No mesmo instante ele ficou curado da lepra.
4 And Iesus sayde vnto him. Se thou tell no man but go and shewe thy selfe to the preste and offer the gyfte that Moses commaunded in witnes to them.
4 Então Jesus lhe disse:
5 When Iesus was entred into Capernau ther came vnto him a certayne Centurion and besought hym sayinge:
5 Quando Jesus entrou na cidade de Cafarnaum, um oficial romano foi encontrar-se com ele e pediu que curasse o seu empregado.
6 Master my seruaunt lyeth sicke at home of the palsye and ys greuously payned.
6 Ele disse: — Senhor, o meu empregado está na minha casa, tão doente, que não pode nem se mexer na cama. Ele está sofrendo demais.
7 And Iesus sayd vnto hym: I will come and heale him.
7 — Eu vou lá curá-lo! — disse Jesus.
8 The Centurion answered and sayde: Syr I am not worthy that thou shuldest come vnder my rofe but speake the worde only and my servaut shalbe healed.
8 O oficial romano respondeu: — Não, senhor! Eu não mereço que o senhor entre na minha casa. Dê somente uma ordem, e o meu empregado ficará bom.
9 For I also my selfe am a man vndre power and have sowdiers vndre me and I saye to one go and he goeth and to anothre come and he cometh: and to my seruaut do this and he doeth it.
9 Eu também estou debaixo da autoridade de oficiais superiores e tenho soldados que obedecem às minhas ordens. Digo para um: “Vá lá”, e ele vai. Digo para outro: “Venha cá”, e ele vem. E digo também para o meu empregado: “Faça isto”, e ele faz.
10 When Iesus hearde that he marveled and sayd to them that folowed hym. Derely I say vnto you I have not foude so great fayth: no not in Israel.
10 Quando Jesus ouviu isso, ficou muito admirado e disse aos que o seguiam:
11 I say therfore vnto you that many shall come from the eest and weest and shall rest with Abraham Isaac and Iacob in the kingdome of heven:
11 E digo a vocês que muita gente vai chegar do Leste e do Oeste e se sentar à mesa no
12 and the chyldren of the kyngdome shalbe cast out in to vtter darcknes: there shalbe wepinge and gnasshing of tethe.
12 Mas as pessoas que deviam estar no Reino serão jogadas fora, na escuridão. Ali vão chorar e ranger os dentes de desespero.
13 The Iesus sayd vnto the Centurion go thy waye and as thou belevest so be it vnto the. And his servaunt was healed the selfe houre.
13 E Jesus disse ao oficial: E naquele momento o empregado do oficial romano ficou curado.
14 And then Iesus went to Peters housse and sawe hys wyves mother lyinge sicke of a fevre
14 Jesus foi à casa de Pedro e viu a sogra dele de cama, com febre.
15 and touched her hande and the fevre left hir: and she arose and ministred vnto them.
15 Jesus tocou na mão dela, e a febre saiu dela. Então ela se levantou e começou a cuidar dele.
16 When the euen was come they brought vn to him many that were possessed with devyllis. And he cast out the spirites with a worde and healed all that were sicke
16 Depois do pôr do sol, o povo levou até Jesus muitas pessoas que estavam dominadas por demônios. E ele, apenas com uma palavra, expulsava os espíritos maus e curava todas as pessoas que estavam doentes.
17 to fulfill that which was spoke by Esayas the Prophet sayinge. He toke on him oure infirmities and bare oure sickneses
17 Jesus fez isso para cumprir o que o profeta Isaías tinha dito: “Ele levou as nossas doenças e carregou as nossas enfermidades.”
18 When Iesus sawe moche people about him he commaunded to go over the water.
18 Jesus viu a multidão em volta dele e mandou os discípulos irem para o lado leste do lago.
19 And ther came a scribe and sayd vnto hym: master I wyll folowe the whyther so ever thou goest.
19 Um mestre da Lei chegou perto dele e disse: — Mestre, estou pronto a seguir o senhor para qualquer lugar aonde o senhor for!
20 And Iesus sayd vnto him: the foxes have holes and the bryddes of the ayer have nestes but the sonne of the man hath not wheron to rest his heede.
20 Jesus respondeu:
21 A nothre that was one of hys disciples sayd vnto hym: master suffre me fyrst to go and burye my father.
21 E outro, que era seguidor de Jesus, disse: — Senhor, primeiro deixe que eu volte e sepulte o meu pai.
22 But Iesus sayd vnto him: folowe me and let the deed burie their deed.
22 Jesus respondeu:
23 And he entred in to a shyppe and his disciples folowed him.
23 Jesus subiu num barco, e os seus discípulos foram com ele.
24 And beholde there arose a a greate tempest in the see in so moche that the shippe was covered with waves and he was a slepe.
24 De repente, uma grande tempestade agitou o lago, de tal maneira que as ondas começaram a cobrir o barco. E Jesus estava dormindo.
25 And his disciples came vn to him and awoke hym sayinge: master save vs we perishe.
25 Os discípulos chegaram perto dele e o acordaram, dizendo: — Socorro, Senhor! Nós vamos morrer!
26 And he sayd vnto them: why are ye fearfull o ye of lytell faithe? Then he arose and rebuked the wyndes and the see and ther folowed a greate calme.
26 — Por que é que vocês são assim tão medrosos? — respondeu Jesus. — Como é pequena a fé que vocês têm! Ele se levantou, falou duro com o vento e com as ondas, e tudo ficou calmo.
27 And the men marveyled and sayd: what man is this that bothe wyndes and see obey hym?
27 Então todos ficaram admirados e disseram: — Que homem é este que manda até no vento e nas ondas?!
28 And when he was come to the other syde in to the countre of the Gergesites ther met him two possessed of devylles which came out of the graves and were out of measure fearce so that no man myght go by that waye.
28 Quando Jesus chegou à região de Gadara, no lado leste do lago da Galileia, foram se encontrar com ele dois homens que estavam dominados por demônios. Eles vinham do cemitério, onde estavam morando. Eram tão violentos e perigosos, que ninguém se arriscava a passar por aquele caminho.
29 And behold they cryed out sayinge: O Iesu the sonne of God what have we to do with the? Art thou come hyther to torment vs before the tyme be come?
29 Eles começaram a gritar: — Filho de Deus, o que o senhor quer de nós? O senhor veio aqui para nos castigar antes do tempo?
30 And ther was a good waye of from them a greate heerd of swyne fedinge.
30 Acontece que perto dali estavam muitos porcos comendo.
31 Then the devyles besought him sayinge: if thou cast vs out suffre vs to go oure waye in to the heerd of swyne.
31 E os demônios pediram a Jesus com insistência: — Se o senhor vai nos expulsar, nos mande entrar naqueles porcos!
32 And he sayd vnto the: go youre wayes. Then wet they out and departed into the heerd of swyne And beholde the whoale heerd of swyne was caryed with violence hedlinge in to the see and perisshed in the water.
32 — Pois vão! — disse Jesus. Os demônios foram e entraram nos porcos, e estes se atiraram morro abaixo, para dentro do lago, e se afogaram.
33 Then the heerdmen fleed and wet their ways in to the cyte and tolde every thinge and what had fortuned vnto the possessed of the devyls.
33 Os homens que tomavam conta dos porcos fugiram e chegaram até a cidade. Lá contaram tudo isso e também o que havia acontecido com os dois homens que estavam dominados por demônios.
34 And beholde all the cyte came out and met Iesus. And when they sawe hym they besought hym to departe oute of their costes.
34 Então todos os moradores daquela cidade saíram para se encontrar com Jesus; e, quando o encontraram, pediram com insistência que fosse embora da terra deles.
