1 Ao mestre de canto. Salmo de Davi. Senhor, vós me perscrutais e me conheceis,
2 Thou knowest|strong="H3045" my downsitting|strong="H3427" and mine uprising|strong="H6965", thou understandest|strong="H0995" my thought|strong="H7454" afar off|strong="H7350".
2 sabeis tudo de mim, quando me sento ou me levanto. De longe penetrais meus pensamentos.
3 Thou compassest|strong="H2219" my path|strong="H0734" and my lying down|strong="H7252", and art acquainted|strong="H5532" with all my ways|strong="H1870".
3 Quando ando e quando repouso, vós me vedes, observais todos os meus passos.
4 For there is not a word|strong="H4405" in my tongue|strong="H3956", but, lo, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, thou knowest|strong="H3045" it altogether.
4 A palavra ainda me não chegou à língua, e já, Senhor, a conheceis toda.
5 Thou hast beset|strong="H6696" me behind|strong="H0268" and before|strong="H6924", and laid|strong="H7896" thine hand|strong="H3709" upon me.
5 Vós me cercais por trás e pela frente, e estendeis sobre mim a vossa mão.
6 Such knowledge|strong="H1847" is too wonderful|strong="H6383" for me; it is high|strong="H7682", I cannot|strong="H3201" attain unto it.
6 Conhecimento assim maravilhoso me ultrapassa, ele é tão sublime que não posso atingi-lo.
7 Whither shall I go|strong="H3212" from thy spirit|strong="H7307"? or whither shall I flee|strong="H1272" from thy presence|strong="H6440"?
7 Para onde irei, longe de vosso Espírito? Para onde fugir, apartado de vosso olhar?
8 If I ascend up|strong="H5266" into heaven|strong="H8064", thou art there: if I make my bed|strong="H3331" in hell|strong="H7585", behold, thou art there.
8 Se subir até os céus, ali estareis; se descer à região dos mortos, lá vos encontrareis também.
9 If I take|strong="H5375" the wings|strong="H3671" of the morning|strong="H7837", and dwell|strong="H7931" in the uttermost parts|strong="H0319" of the sea|strong="H3220";
9 Se tomar as asas da aurora, se me fixar nos confins do mar,
10 Even there shall thy hand|strong="H3027" lead|strong="H5148" me, and thy right hand|strong="H3225" shall hold|strong="H0270" me.
10 é ainda vossa mão que lá me levará, e vossa destra que me sustentará.
11 If I say|strong="H0559", Surely the darkness|strong="H2822" shall cover|strong="H7779" me; even the night|strong="H3915" shall be light|strong="H0216" about me|strong="H1157".
11 Se eu dissesse: Pelo menos as trevas me ocultarão, e a noite, como se fora luz, me há de envolver.
12 Yea, the darkness|strong="H2822" hideth|strong="H2821" not from thee; but the night|strong="H3915" shineth|strong="H0215" as the day|strong="H3117": the darkness|strong="H2825" and the light|strong="H0219" are both alike to thee.
12 As próprias trevas não são escuras para vós, a noite vos é transparente como o dia e a escuridão, clara como a luz.
13 For thou hast possessed|strong="H7069" my reins|strong="H3629": thou hast covered|strong="H5526" me in my mother’s|strong="H0517" womb|strong="H0990".
13 Fostes vós que plasmastes as entranhas de meu corpo, vós me tecestes no seio de minha mãe.
14 I will praise|strong="H3034" thee; for I am fearfully|strong="H3372" and wonderfully made|strong="H6395": marvellous|strong="H6381" are thy works|strong="H4639"; and that my soul|strong="H5315" knoweth|strong="H3045" right well|strong="H3966".
14 Sede bendito por me haverdes feito de modo tão maravilhoso. Pelas vossas obras tão extraordinárias, conheceis até o fundo a minha alma.
15 My substance|strong="H6108" was not hid|strong="H3582" from thee, when I was made|strong="H6213" in secret|strong="H5643", and curiously wrought|strong="H7551" in the lowest parts|strong="H8482" of the earth|strong="H0776".
15 Nada de minha substância vos é oculto, quando fui formado ocultamente, quando fui tecido nas entranhas subterrâneas.
16 Thine eyes|strong="H5869" did see|strong="H7200" my substance, yet being unperfect|strong="H1564"; and in thy book|strong="H5612" all my members were written|strong="H3789", which in continuance|strong="H3117" were fashioned|strong="H3335", when as yet there was none|strong="H0259" of them.
16 Cada uma de minhas ações vossos olhos viram, e todas elas foram escritas em vosso livro; cada dia de minha vida foi prefixado, desde antes que um só deles existisse.
17 How precious|strong="H3365" also are thy thoughts|strong="H7454" unto me, O God|strong="H0410"! how great|strong="H6105" is the sum|strong="H7218" of them!
17 Ó Deus, como são insondáveis para mim vossos desígnios! E quão imenso é o número deles!
18 If I should count|strong="H5608" them, they are more in number|strong="H7235" than the sand|strong="H2344": when I awake|strong="H6974", I am still|strong="H5750" with thee.
18 Como contá-los? São mais numerosos que a areia do mar; se pudesse chegar ao fim, seria ainda com vossa ajuda.
19 Surely thou wilt slay|strong="H6991" the wicked|strong="H7563", O God|strong="H0433": depart|strong="H5493" from me therefore, ye bloody|strong="H1818" men|strong="H0582".
19 Oxalá extermineis os ímpios, ó Deus, e que se apartem de mim os sanguinários!
20 For they speak|strong="H0559" against thee wickedly|strong="H4209", and thine enemies|strong="H6145" take|strong="H5375" thy name in vain|strong="H7723".
20 Eles se revoltam insidiosamente contra vós, perfidamente se insurgem vossos inimigos.
21 Do not I hate|strong="H8130" them, O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that hate|strong="H8130" thee? and am not I grieved|strong="H6962" with those that rise up|strong="H8618" against thee?
21 Pois não hei de odiar, Senhor, aos que vos odeiam? Aos que se levantam contra vós, não hei de abominá-los?
22 I hate|strong="H8130" them with perfect|strong="H8503" hatred|strong="H8135": I count them mine enemies|strong="H0341".
22 Eu os odeio com ódio mortal, eu os tenho em conta de meus próprios inimigos.
23 Search|strong="H2713" me, O God|strong="H0410", and know|strong="H3045" my heart|strong="H3824": try|strong="H0974" me, and know|strong="H3045" my thoughts|strong="H8312":
23 Perscrutai-me, Senhor, para conhecer meu coração; provai-me e conhecei meus pensamentos.
24 And see|strong="H7200" if there be any wicked|strong="H6090" way|strong="H1870" in me, and lead|strong="H5148" me in the way|strong="H1870" everlasting|strong="H5769".
24 Vede se ando na senda do mal, e conduzi-me pelo caminho da eternidade.
