1 Through desire|strong="H8378" a man, having separated|strong="H6504" himself, seeketh|strong="H1245" and intermeddleth|strong="H1566" with all wisdom|strong="H8454".
1 Aquele que vive isolado busca seu próprio desejo; insurge-se contra a verdadeira sabedoria.
2 A fool|strong="H3684" hath no delight|strong="H2654" in understanding|strong="H8394", but that his heart|strong="H3820" may discover|strong="H1540" itself.
2 O tolo não toma prazer no entendimento, mas tão somente em revelar a sua opinião.
3 When the wicked|strong="H7563" cometh|strong="H0935", then cometh|strong="H0935" also contempt|strong="H0937", and with ignominy|strong="H7036" reproach|strong="H2781".
3 Quando vem o ímpio, vem também o desprezo; e com a desonra vem o opróbrio.

4 Águas profundas são as palavras da boca do homem; e a fonte da sabedoria é um ribeiro que corre.
5 It is not good|strong="H2896" to accept|strong="H5375" the person|strong="H6440" of the wicked|strong="H7563", to overthrow|strong="H5186" the righteous|strong="H6662" in judgment|strong="H4941".
5 Não é bom ter respeito à pessoa do ímpio, nem privar o justo do seu direito.
6 A fool’s|strong="H3684" lips|strong="H8193" enter|strong="H0935" into contention|strong="H7379", and his mouth|strong="H6310" calleth|strong="H7121" for strokes|strong="H4112".
6 Os lábios do tolo entram em contendas, e a sua boca clama por açoites.
7 A fool’s|strong="H3684" mouth|strong="H6310" is his destruction|strong="H4288", and his lips|strong="H8193" are the snare|strong="H4170" of his soul|strong="H5315".
7 A boca do tolo é a sua própria destruição, e os seus lábios um laço para a sua alma.
8 The words|strong="H1697" of a talebearer|strong="H5372" are as wounds|strong="H3859", and they go down|strong="H3381" into the innermost parts|strong="H2315" of the belly|strong="H0990".
8 As palavras do difamador são como bocados doces, que penetram até o íntimo das entranhas.
9 He also that is slothful|strong="H7503" in his work|strong="H4399" is brother|strong="H0251" to him that is a great|strong="H1167" waster|strong="H7843".
9 Aquele que é remisso na sua obra é irmão do que é destruidor.
10 The name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is a strong|strong="H5797" tower|strong="H4026": the righteous|strong="H6662" runneth|strong="H7323" into it, and is safe|strong="H7682".
10 Torre forte é o nome do Senhor; para ela corre o justo, e está seguro.
11 The rich man’s|strong="H6223" wealth|strong="H1952" is his strong|strong="H5797" city|strong="H7151", and as an high|strong="H7682" wall|strong="H2346" in his own conceit|strong="H4906".
11 Os bens do rico são a sua cidade forte, e como um muro alto na sua imaginação.
12 Before|strong="H6440" destruction|strong="H7667" the heart|strong="H3820" of man|strong="H0376" is haughty|strong="H1361", and before|strong="H6440" honour|strong="H3519" is humility|strong="H6038".
12 Antes da ruína eleva-se o coração do homem; e adiante da honra vai a humildade.
13 He that answereth|strong="H7725" a matter|strong="H1697" before he heareth|strong="H8085" it, it is folly|strong="H0200" and shame|strong="H3639" unto him.
13 Responder antes de ouvir, é estultícia e vergonha.
14 The spirit|strong="H7307" of a man|strong="H0376" will sustain|strong="H3557" his infirmity|strong="H4245"; but a wounded|strong="H5218" spirit|strong="H7307" who can bear|strong="H5375"?
14 O espírito do homem o sustentará na sua enfermidade; mas ao espírito abatido quem o levantará?
15 The heart|strong="H3820" of the prudent|strong="H0995" getteth|strong="H7069" knowledge|strong="H1847"; and the ear|strong="H0241" of the wise|strong="H2450" seeketh|strong="H1245" knowledge|strong="H1847".
15 O coração do entendido adquire conhecimento; e o ouvido dos sábios busca conhecimento;
16 A man’s|strong="H0120" gift|strong="H4976" maketh room|strong="H7337" for him, and bringeth|strong="H5148" him before|strong="H6440" great men|strong="H1419".
16 O presente do homem alarga-lhe o caminho, e leva-o à presença dos grandes.
17 He that is first|strong="H7223" in his own cause|strong="H7379" seemeth just|strong="H6662"; but his neighbour|strong="H7453" cometh|strong="H0935" and searcheth|strong="H2713" him.
17 O que primeiro começa o seu pleito parece justo; até que vem o outro e o examina.
18 The lot|strong="H1486" causeth contentions|strong="H4079" to cease|strong="H7673", and parteth|strong="H6504" between the mighty|strong="H6099".
18 A sorte faz cessar os pleitos, e decide entre os poderosos.
19 A brother|strong="H0251" offended|strong="H6586" is harder to be won than a strong|strong="H5797" city|strong="H7151": and their contentions|strong="H4079" are like the bars|strong="H1280" of a castle|strong="H0759".
19 um irmão ajudado pelo irmão é como uma cidade fortificada; é forte como os ferrolhos dum castelo.
20 A man’s|strong="H0376" belly|strong="H0990" shall be satisfied|strong="H7646" with the fruit|strong="H6529" of his mouth|strong="H6310"; and with the increase|strong="H8393" of his lips|strong="H8193" shall he be filled|strong="H7646".
20 O homem se fartará do fruto da sua boca; dos renovos dos seus lábios se fartará.
21 Death|strong="H4194" and life|strong="H2416" are in the power|strong="H3027" of the tongue|strong="H3956": and they that love|strong="H0157" it shall eat|strong="H0398" the fruit|strong="H6529" thereof.
21 A morte e a vida estão no poder da língua; e aquele que a ama comerá do seu fruto.
22 Whoso findeth|strong="H4672" a wife|strong="H0802" findeth|strong="H4672" a good|strong="H2896" thing, and obtaineth|strong="H6329" favour|strong="H7522" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
22 Quem encontra uma esposa acha uma coisa boa; e alcança o favor do Senhor.
23 The poor|strong="H7326" useth|strong="H1696" intreaties|strong="H8469"; but the rich|strong="H6223" answereth|strong="H6030" roughly|strong="H5794".
23 O pobre fala com rogos; mas o rico responde com durezas.
24 A man|strong="H0376" that hath friends|strong="H7453" must shew himself friendly|strong="H7489": and there is|strong="H3426" a friend|strong="H0157" that sticketh closer|strong="H1695" than a brother|strong="H0251".
24 O homem que tem muitos amigos, tem-nos para a sua ruína; mas há um amigo que é mais chegado do que um irmão.
