Oséias 12

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Ephraim|strong="H0669" feedeth|strong="H7462" on wind|strong="H7307", and followeth|strong="H7291" after the east wind|strong="H6921": he daily|strong="H3117" increaseth|strong="H7235" lies|strong="H3577" and desolation|strong="H7701"; and they do make|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285" with the Assyrians|strong="H0804", and oil|strong="H8081" is carried|strong="H2986" into Egypt|strong="H4714".

The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath also a controversy|strong="H7379" with Judah|strong="H3063", and will punish|strong="H6485" Jacob|strong="H3290" according to his ways|strong="H1870"; according to his doings|strong="H4611" will he recompense|strong="H7725" him.

He took his brother|strong="H0251" by the heel|strong="H6117" in the womb|strong="H0990", and by his strength|strong="H0202" he had power|strong="H8280" with God|strong="H0430":

Yea, he had power|strong="H7786" over the angel|strong="H4397", and prevailed|strong="H3201": he wept|strong="H1058", and made supplication|strong="H2603" unto him: he found|strong="H4672" him in Beth-el|strong="H1008", and there he spake|strong="H1696" with us;

Even the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of hosts|strong="H6635"; the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is his memorial|strong="H2143".

Therefore turn|strong="H7725" thou to thy God|strong="H0430": keep|strong="H8104" mercy|strong="H2617" and judgment|strong="H4941", and wait|strong="H6960" on thy God|strong="H0430" continually|strong="H8548".

He is a merchant|strong="H3667", the balances|strong="H3976" of deceit|strong="H4820" are in his hand|strong="H3027": he loveth|strong="H0157" to oppress|strong="H6231".

And Ephraim|strong="H0669" said|strong="H0559", Yet I am become rich|strong="H6238", I have found me out|strong="H4672" substance|strong="H0202": in all my labours|strong="H3018" they shall find|strong="H4672" none iniquity|strong="H5771" in me that were sin|strong="H2399".

And I that am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" from the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" will yet make thee to dwell|strong="H3427" in tabernacles|strong="H0168", as in the days|strong="H3117" of the solemn feast|strong="H4150".

I have also spoken|strong="H1696" by the prophets|strong="H5030", and I have multiplied|strong="H7235" visions|strong="H2377", and used similitudes|strong="H1819", by the ministry|strong="H3027" of the prophets|strong="H5030".

Is there iniquity|strong="H0205" in Gilead|strong="H1568"? surely they are vanity|strong="H7723": they sacrifice|strong="H2076" bullocks|strong="H7794" in Gilgal|strong="H1537"; yea, their altars|strong="H4196" are as heaps|strong="H1530" in the furrows|strong="H8525" of the fields|strong="H7704".

And Jacob|strong="H3290" fled|strong="H1272" into the country|strong="H7704" of Syria|strong="H0758", and Israel|strong="H3478" served|strong="H5647" for a wife|strong="H0802", and for a wife|strong="H0802" he kept|strong="H8104" sheep.

And by a prophet|strong="H5030" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought|strong="H5927" Israel|strong="H3478" out of Egypt|strong="H4714", and by a prophet|strong="H5030" was he preserved|strong="H8104".

Ephraim|strong="H0669" provoked him to anger|strong="H3707" most bitterly|strong="H8563": therefore shall he leave|strong="H5203" his blood|strong="H1818" upon him, and his reproach|strong="H2781" shall his Lord|strong="H0113" return|strong="H7725" unto him.
