1 Seis dias depois, tomou Jesus consigo a Pedro, a Tiago e a João, irmão deste, e os conduziu à parte a um alto monte;
2 And|strong="G2532" was transfigured|strong="G3339" before|strong="G1715" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" face|strong="G4383" did shine|strong="G2989" as|strong="G5613" the sun|strong="G2246", and|strong="G1161" his|strong="G0846" raiment|strong="G2440" was|strong="G1096" white|strong="G3022" as|strong="G5613" the light|strong="G5457".
2 e foi transfigurado diante deles; o seu rosto resplandeceu como o sol, e as suas vestes tornaram-se brancas como a luz.
3 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", there appeared|strong="G3700" unto them|strong="G0846" Moses|strong="G3475" and|strong="G2532" Elias|strong="G2243" talking|strong="G4814" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846".
3 E eis que lhes apareceram Moisés e Elias, falando com ele.
4 Then|strong="G1161" answered|strong="G0611" Peter|strong="G4074", and said|strong="G2036" unto Jesus|strong="G2424", Lord|strong="G2962", it is|strong="G2076" good|strong="G2570" for us|strong="G2248" to be|strong="G1511" here|strong="G5602": if|strong="G1487" thou wilt|strong="G2309", let us make|strong="G4160" here|strong="G5602" three|strong="G5140" tabernacles|strong="G4633"; one|strong="G1520" for thee|strong="G4671", and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" for Moses|strong="G3475", and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" for Elias|strong="G2243".
4 Pedro, tomando a palavra, disse a Jesus: Senhor, bom é estarmos aqui; se queres, farei aqui três cabanas, uma para ti, outra para Moisés, e outra para Elias.
5 While|strong="G2980" he|strong="G0846" yet|strong="G2089" spake|strong="G2980", behold|strong="G2400", a|strong="G3507" bright|strong="G5460" cloud|strong="G3507" overshadowed|strong="G1982" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" behold|strong="G2400" a voice|strong="G5456" out of|strong="G1537" the cloud|strong="G3507", which said|strong="G3004", This|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" my|strong="G3450" beloved|strong="G0027" Son|strong="G5207", in|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" I am well pleased|strong="G2106"; hear ye|strong="G0191" him|strong="G0846".
5 Estando ele ainda a falar, eis que uma nuvem luminosa os cobriu; e dela saiu uma voz que dizia: Este é o meu Filho amado, em quem me comprazo; a ele ouvi.
6 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G0191" the disciples|strong="G3101" heard|strong="G0191" it, they fell|strong="G4098" on|strong="G1909" their|strong="G0846" face|strong="G4383", and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G5399" sore|strong="G4970" afraid|strong="G5399".
6 Os discípulos, ouvindo isso, caíram com o rosto em terra, e ficaram grandemente atemorizados.
7 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" came|strong="G4334" and touched|strong="G0680" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", \+w Arise|strong="G1453"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be|strong="G5399"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w afraid|strong="G5399"\+w*.
7 Chegou-se, pois, Jesus e, tocando-os, disse: Levantai-vos e não temais.
8 And|strong="G1161" when they had lifted up|strong="G1869" their|strong="G0846" eyes|strong="G3788", they saw|strong="G1492" no man|strong="G3762", save|strong="G1487" Jesus|strong="G2424" only|strong="G3441".
8 E, erguendo eles os olhos, não viram a ninguém senão a Jesus somente.
9 And|strong="G2532" as|strong="G2597" they|strong="G0846" came down|strong="G2597" from|strong="G0575" the mountain|strong="G3735", Jesus|strong="G2424" charged|strong="G1781" them|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", \+w Tell|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w the vision|strong="G3705"\+w* \+w to no man|strong="G3367"\+w*, \+w until|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w be risen again|strong="G0450"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w the dead|strong="G3498"\+w*.
9 Enquanto desciam do monte, Jesus lhes ordenou: A ninguém conteis a visão, até que o Filho do homem seja levantado dentre os mortos.
10 And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Why|strong="G5101" then|strong="G3767" say|strong="G3004" the scribes|strong="G1122" that|strong="G3754" Elias|strong="G2243" must|strong="G1163" first|strong="G4412" come|strong="G2064"?
10 Perguntaram-lhe os discípulos: Por que dizem então os escribas que é necessário que Elias venha primeiro?
11 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Elias|strong="G2243"\+w* \+w truly|strong="G3303"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w first|strong="G4412"\+w* \+w come|strong="G2064"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w restore|strong="G0600"\+w* \+w all things|strong="G3956"\+w*.
11 Respondeu ele: Na verdade Elias havia de vir e restaurar todas as coisas;
12 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w That|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w Elias|strong="G2243"\+w* \+w is come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w already|strong="G2235"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they knew|strong="G1921"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w have done|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w whatsoever|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w they listed|strong="G2309"\+w*. \+w Likewise|strong="G3779"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G3195"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w suffer|strong="G3958"\+w* \+w of|strong="G5259"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*.
12 digo-vos, porém, que Elias já veio, e não o reconheceram; mas fizeram-lhe tudo o que quiseram. Assim também o Filho do homem há de padecer às mãos deles.
13 Then|strong="G5119" the disciples|strong="G3101" understood|strong="G4920" that|strong="G3754" he spake|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846" of|strong="G4012" John|strong="G2491" the Baptist|strong="G0910".
13 Então entenderam os discípulos que lhes falava a respeito de João, o Batista.
14 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G2064" they|strong="G0846" were come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" the multitude|strong="G3793", there came|strong="G4334" to him|strong="G0846" a|strong="G0444" certain man|strong="G0444", kneeling down|strong="G1120" to him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G3004",
14 Quando chegaram à multidão, aproximou-se de Jesus um homem que, ajoelhando-se diante dele, disse:
15 Lord|strong="G2962", have mercy|strong="G1653" on|strong="G5207" my|strong="G3450" son|strong="G5207": for|strong="G3754" he is lunatick|strong="G4583", and|strong="G2532" sore|strong="G2560" vexed|strong="G3958": for|strong="G1063" ofttimes|strong="G4178" he falleth|strong="G4098" into|strong="G1519" the fire|strong="G4442", and|strong="G2532" oft|strong="G4178" into|strong="G1519" the water|strong="G5204".
15 Senhor, tem compaixão de meu filho, porque é epiléptico e sofre muito; pois muitas vezes cai no fogo, e muitas vezes na água.
16 And|strong="G2532" I brought|strong="G4374" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G3101" thy|strong="G4675" disciples|strong="G3101", and|strong="G2532" they could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" cure|strong="G2323" him|strong="G0846".
16 Eu o trouxe aos teus discípulos, e não o puderam curar.
17 Then|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036", \+w O|strong="G5599"\+w* \+w faithless|strong="G0571"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w perverse|strong="G1294"\+w* \+w generation|strong="G1074"\+w*, \+w how|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w long|strong="G4219"\+w* \+w shall I be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3326"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5216"\+w*? \+w how|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w long|strong="G4219"\+w* \+w shall I suffer|strong="G0430"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5216"\+w*? \+w bring|strong="G5342"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w hither|strong="G5602"\+w* \+w to me|strong="G3427"\+w*.
17 E Jesus, respondendo, disse: ó geração incrédula e perversa! até quando estarei convosco? até quando vos sofrerei? Trazei-mo aqui.
18 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" rebuked|strong="G2008" the devil|strong="G1140"; and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G0846" departed|strong="G1831" out|strong="G0575" of him|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" the child|strong="G3816" was cured|strong="G2323" from|strong="G0575" that very|strong="G1565" hour|strong="G5610".
18 Então Jesus repreendeu ao demônio, o qual saiu de menino, que desde aquela hora ficou curado.
19 Then|strong="G5119" came|strong="G4334" the disciples|strong="G3101" to Jesus|strong="G2424" apart|strong="G2398", and said|strong="G2036", Why|strong="G5101" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" we|strong="G2249" cast|strong="G1544" him|strong="G0846" out|strong="G1544"?
19 Depois os discípulos, aproximando-se de Jesus em particular, perguntaram-lhe: Por que não pudemos nós expulsá-lo?
20 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Because|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w of|strong="G0570"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w unbelief|strong="G0570"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w If|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w ye have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w* \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* \+w a grain|strong="G2848"\+w* \+w of mustard seed|strong="G4615"\+w*, \+w ye shall say|strong="G2046"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G3735"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5129"\+w* \+w mountain|strong="G3735"\+w*, \+w Remove|strong="G3327"\+w* \+w hence|strong="G1782"\+w* \+w to yonder place|strong="G1563"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w it shall remove|strong="G3327"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w nothing|strong="G3762"\+w* \+w shall be impossible|strong="G0101"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*.
20 Disse-lhes ele: Por causa da vossa pouca fé; pois em verdade vos digo que, se tiverdes fé como um grão de mostarda direis a este monte: Passa daqui para acolá, e ele há de passar; e nada vos será impossível.
21 \+w Howbeit|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w kind|strong="G1085"\+w* \+w goeth|strong="G1607"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w out|strong="G1607"\+w* \+w but|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w by|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w prayer|strong="G4335"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w fasting|strong="G3521"\+w*.
21 {mas esta casta de demônios não se expulsa senão à força de oração e de jejum.}
22 And|strong="G1161" while|strong="G0390" they|strong="G0846" abode|strong="G0390" in|strong="G1722" Galilee|strong="G1056", Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w The Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G3195"\+w* \+w be betrayed|strong="G3860"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the hands|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w of men|strong="G0444"\+w*:
22 Ora, achando-se eles na Galiléia, disse-lhes Jesus: O Filho do homem está para ser entregue nas mãos dos homens;
23 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they shall kill|strong="G0615"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w third|strong="G5154"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w he shall be raised again|strong="G1453"\+w*. And|strong="G2532" they were|strong="G3076" exceeding|strong="G4970" sorry|strong="G3076".
23 e matá-lo-ão, e ao terceiro dia ressurgirá. E eles se entristeceram grandemente.
24 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G2064" they|strong="G0846" were come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" Capernaum|strong="G2584", they that received|strong="G2983" tribute|strong="G1323" money came|strong="G4334" to Peter|strong="G4074", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", Doth|strong="G5055" not|strong="G3756" your|strong="G5216" master|strong="G1320" pay|strong="G5055" tribute|strong="G1323"?
24 Tendo eles chegado a Cafarnaum, aproximaram-se de Pedro os que cobravam as didracmas, e lhe perguntaram: O vosso mestre não paga as didracmas?
25 He saith|strong="G3004", Yes|strong="G3483". And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G3753" he was come|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the house|strong="G3614", Jesus|strong="G2424" prevented|strong="G4399" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", \+w What|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w thinkest|strong="G1380"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4671"\+w*, \+w Simon|strong="G4613"\+w*? \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w whom|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w do|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w the kings|strong="G0935"\+w* \+w of the earth|strong="G1093"\+w* \+w take|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w custom|strong="G5056"\+w* \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w tribute|strong="G2778"\+w*? \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w their own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w children|strong="G5207"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w strangers|strong="G0245"\+w*?
25 Disse ele: Sim. Ao entrar Pedro em casa, Jesus se lhe antecipou, perguntando: Que te parece, Simão? De quem cobram os reis da terra imposto ou tributo? dos seus filhos, ou dos alheios?
26 Peter|strong="G4074" saith|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Of|strong="G0575" strangers|strong="G0245". Jesus|strong="G2424" saith|strong="G5346" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Then|strong="G0686"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w the children|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w free|strong="G1658"\+w*.
26 Quando ele respondeu: Dos alheios, disse-lhe Jesus: Logo, são isentos os filhos.

27 Mas, para que não os escandalizemos, vai ao mar, lança o anzol, tira o primeiro peixe que subir e, abrindo-lhe a boca, encontrarás um estáter; toma-o, e dá-lho por mim e por ti.
