2 And|strong="G2532" great|strong="G4183" multitudes|strong="G3793" were gathered together|strong="G4863" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", so that|strong="G5620" he|strong="G0846" went|strong="G1684" into|strong="G1519" a ship|strong="G4143", and sat|strong="G2521"; and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3793" whole|strong="G3956" multitude|strong="G3793" stood|strong="G2476" on|strong="G1909" the shore|strong="G0123".
3 And|strong="G2532" he spake|strong="G2980" many things|strong="G4183" unto them|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" parables|strong="G3850", saying|strong="G3004", \+w Behold|strong="G2400"\+w*, \+w a sower|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w went forth|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w to sow|strong="G4687"\+w*;
4 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w when|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w he|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w sowed|strong="G4687"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+add seeds\+add* \+w fell|strong="G4098"\+w* \+w by|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w the way side|strong="G3598"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the fowls|strong="G4071"\+w* \+w came|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w devoured|strong="G2719"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w up|strong="G2719"\+w*:
5 \+w Some|strong="G0243"\+w* \+w fell|strong="G4098"\+w* \+w upon|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w stony places|strong="G4075"\+w*, \+w where|strong="G3699"\+w* \+w they had|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w much|strong="G4183"\+w* \+w earth|strong="G1093"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w forthwith|strong="G2112"\+w* \+w they sprung up|strong="G1816"\+w*, \+w because|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w they had|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w no|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w deepness|strong="G0899"\+w* \+w of earth|strong="G1093"\+w*:
6 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w when the sun|strong="G2246"\+w* \+w was up|strong="G0393"\+w*, \+w they were scorched|strong="G2739"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w because|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w they had|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w no|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w root|strong="G4491"\+w*, \+w they withered away|strong="G3583"\+w*.
7 \+w And|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w some|strong="G0243"\+w* \+w fell|strong="G4098"\+w* \+w among|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w thorns|strong="G0173"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the thorns|strong="G0173"\+w* \+w sprung up|strong="G0305"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w choked|strong="G0638"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*:
8 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w other|strong="G0243"\+w* \+w fell|strong="G4098"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w ground|strong="G1093"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w brought forth|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w fruit|strong="G2590"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w an hundredfold|strong="G1540"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w sixtyfold|strong="G1835"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w thirtyfold|strong="G5144"\+w*.
9 \+w Who hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w ears|strong="G3775"\+w* \+w to hear|strong="G0191"\+w*, \+w let him hear|strong="G0191"\+w*.
10 And|strong="G2532" the disciples|strong="G3101" came|strong="G4334", and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Why|strong="G5101" speakest thou|strong="G2980" unto them|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" parables|strong="G3850"?
11 He answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w it is given|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w to know|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w the mysteries|strong="G3466"\+w* \+w of the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w to them|strong="G1565"\+w* \+w it is|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w given|strong="G1325"\+w*.
12 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w*, \+w to him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w shall be given|strong="G1325"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he shall have more abundance|strong="G4052"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w*, \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w shall be taken away|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w even|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w he hath|strong="G2192"\+w*.
13 \+w Therefore|strong="G5124"\+w* \+w speak I|strong="G2980"\+w* \+w to them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w parables|strong="G3850"\+w*: \+w because|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w they|strong="G0991"\+w* \+w seeing|strong="G0991"\+w* \+w see|strong="G0991"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w hearing|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w they hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w*, \+w neither|strong="G3761"\+w* \+w do they understand|strong="G4920"\+w*.
14 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w is fulfilled|strong="G0378"\+w* \+w the prophecy|strong="G4394"\+w* \+w of Esaias|strong="G2268"\+w*, \+w which saith|strong="G3004"\+w*, \+w By hearing|strong="G0189"\+w* \+w ye shall hear|strong="G0191"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G4920"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w understand|strong="G4920"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w seeing|strong="G0991"\+w* \+w ye shall see|strong="G0991"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w perceive|strong="G1492"\+w*:
15 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5127"\+w* \+w people’s|strong="G2992"\+w* \+w heart|strong="G2588"\+w* \+w is waxed gross|strong="G3975"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+add their\+add* \+w ears|strong="G3775"\+w* \+w are dull of|strong="G0917"\+w* \+w hearing|strong="G0191"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w their|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w eyes|strong="G3788"\+w* \+w they have closed|strong="G2576"\+w*; \+w lest at any time|strong="G3379"\+w* \+w they should see|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3788"\+w* \+add their\+add* \+w eyes|strong="G3788"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3775"\+w* \+add their\+add* \+w ears|strong="G3775"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w should understand|strong="G4920"\+w* \+w with|strong="G2588"\+w* \+add their\+add* \+w heart|strong="G2588"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w should be converted|strong="G1994"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w I should heal|strong="G2390"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*.
16 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+add are\+add* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w eyes|strong="G3788"\+w*, \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w they see|strong="G0991"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w ears|strong="G3775"\+w*, \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w they hear|strong="G0191"\+w*.
17 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w That|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w many|strong="G4183"\+w* \+w prophets|strong="G4396"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w righteous|strong="G1342"\+w* \+add men\+add* \+w have desired|strong="G1937"\+w* \+w to see|strong="G1492"\+w* \+add those things\+add* \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w ye see|strong="G0991"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w have|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w seen|strong="G1492"\+w* \+add them\+add*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+add those things\+add* \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w ye hear|strong="G0191"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w have|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w heard|strong="G0191"\+w* \+add them.\+add*
18 \+w Hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w therefore|strong="G3767"\+w* \+w the parable|strong="G3850"\+w* \+w of the sower|strong="G4687"\+w*.
19 \+w When any one|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w heareth|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w* \+w of the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w understandeth|strong="G4920"\+w* \+add it\+add* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*, \+w then cometh|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w the wicked|strong="G4190"\+w* \+add one\+add*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w catcheth away|strong="G0726"\+w* \+w that which was sown|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w heart|strong="G2588"\+w*. \+w This|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w he which received seed|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w by|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w the way side|strong="G3598"\+w*.
20 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w he that received the seed|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w stony places|strong="G4075"\+w*, \+w the same|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w he that heareth|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w anon|strong="G2117"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3326"\+w* \+w joy|strong="G5479"\+w* \+w receiveth|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w it|strong="G0846"\+w*;
21 \+w Yet|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w hath he|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w root|strong="G4491"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G1438"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w dureth|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w for a while|strong="G4340"\+w*: \+w for when|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w tribulation|strong="G2347"\+w* \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w persecution|strong="G1375"\+w* \+w ariseth|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w because of|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+w by and by|strong="G2117"\+w* \+w he is offended|strong="G4624"\+w*.
22 \+w He|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w also|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w that received seed|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w among|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the thorns|strong="G0173"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w he|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w that heareth|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the care|strong="G3308"\+w* \+w of this|strong="G5127"\+w* \+w world|strong="G0165"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the deceitfulness|strong="G0539"\+w* \+w of riches|strong="G4149"\+w*, \+w choke|strong="G4846"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w he becometh|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w unfruitful|strong="G0175"\+w*.
23 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w he that received seed|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the|strong="G1093"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w ground|strong="G1093"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w he|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w that heareth|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w understandeth|strong="G4920"\+w* \+add it\+add*; \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w also|strong="G1211"\+w* \+w beareth fruit|strong="G2592"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w bringeth forth|strong="G4160"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w an hundredfold|strong="G1540"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w sixty|strong="G1835"\+w*, \+w some|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w thirty|strong="G5144"\+w*.
24 Another|strong="G0243" parable|strong="G3850" put he forth|strong="G3908" unto them|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", \+w The kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of heaven|strong="G3772"\+w* \+w is likened unto|strong="G3666"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w which sowed|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w seed|strong="G4690"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w field|strong="G0068"\+w*:

26 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w when|strong="G3753"\+w* \+w the blade|strong="G5528"\+w* \+w was sprung up|strong="G0985"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w brought forth|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w fruit|strong="G2590"\+w*, \+w then|strong="G5119"\+w* \+w appeared|strong="G5316"\+w* \+w the tares|strong="G2215"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w*.
27 \+w So|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w the servants|strong="G1401"\+w* \+w of the householder|strong="G3617"\+w* \+w came|strong="G4334"\+w* \+w and said|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w unto him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w Sir|strong="G2962"\+w*, \+w didst|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3780"\+w* \+w thou sow|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w seed|strong="G4690"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4674"\+w* \+w field|strong="G0068"\+w*? \+w from whence|strong="G4159"\+w* \+w then|strong="G3767"\+w* \+w hath it|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w tares|strong="G2215"\+w*?

34 All|strong="G3956" these things|strong="G5023" spake|strong="G2980" Jesus|strong="G2424" unto the multitude|strong="G3793" in|strong="G1722" parables|strong="G3850"; and|strong="G2532" without|strong="G5565" a parable|strong="G3850" spake he|strong="G2980" not|strong="G3756" unto them|strong="G0846":
35 That|strong="G3704" it might be fulfilled|strong="G4137" which was spoken|strong="G4483" by|strong="G1223" the prophet|strong="G4396", saying|strong="G3004", I will open|strong="G0455" my|strong="G3450" mouth|strong="G4750" in|strong="G1722" parables|strong="G3850"; I will utter|strong="G2044" things which have been kept secret|strong="G2928" from|strong="G0575" the foundation|strong="G2602" of the world|strong="G2889".
36 Then|strong="G5119" Jesus|strong="G2424" sent|strong="G0863" the multitude|strong="G3793" away|strong="G0863", and went|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" the house|strong="G3614": and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" came|strong="G4334" unto him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Declare|strong="G5419" unto us|strong="G2254" the parable|strong="G3850" of the tares|strong="G2215" of the field|strong="G0068".

39 \+w The enemy|strong="G2190"\+w* \+w that sowed|strong="G4687"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the devil|strong="G1228"\+w*; \+w the harvest|strong="G2326"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the end|strong="G4930"\+w* \+w of the world|strong="G0165"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w the reapers|strong="G2327"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w the angels|strong="G0032"\+w*.

49 \+w So|strong="G3779"\+w* \+w shall it be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w at|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the end|strong="G4930"\+w* \+w of the world|strong="G0165"\+w*: \+w the angels|strong="G0032"\+w* \+w shall come forth|strong="G1831"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w sever|strong="G0873"\+w* \+w the wicked|strong="G4190"\+w* \+w from|strong="G1537"\+w* \+w among|strong="G3319"\+w* \+w the just|strong="G1342"\+w*,
50 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall cast|strong="G0906"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the furnace|strong="G2575"\+w* \+w of fire|strong="G4442"\+w*: \+w there|strong="G1563"\+w* \+w shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w wailing|strong="G2805"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w gnashing|strong="G1030"\+w* \+w of teeth|strong="G3599"\+w*.

54 And|strong="G2532" when he was come|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" his own|strong="G0846" country|strong="G3968", he taught|strong="G1321" them|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" synagogue|strong="G4864", insomuch that|strong="G5620" they|strong="G0846" were astonished|strong="G1605", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", Whence|strong="G4159" hath this|strong="G5129" man this|strong="G3778" wisdom|strong="G4678", and|strong="G2532" these mighty works|strong="G1411"?
55 Is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" this|strong="G3778" the|strong="G5207" carpenter’s|strong="G5045" son|strong="G5207"? is|strong="G3004" not|strong="G3780" his|strong="G0846" mother|strong="G3384" called|strong="G3004" Mary|strong="G3137"? and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" brethren|strong="G0080", James|strong="G2385", and|strong="G2532" Joses|strong="G2500", and|strong="G2532" Simon|strong="G4613", and|strong="G2532" Judas|strong="G2455"?
56 And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" sisters|strong="G0079", are they|strong="G1526" not|strong="G3780" all|strong="G3956" with|strong="G4314" us|strong="G2248"? Whence|strong="G4159" then|strong="G3767" hath this|strong="G5129" man all|strong="G3956" these things|strong="G5023"?
57 And|strong="G2532" they were offended|strong="G4624" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846". But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w A prophet|strong="G4396"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w without honour|strong="G0820"\+w*, \+w save|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w country|strong="G3968"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3614"\+w*.
58 And|strong="G2532" he did|strong="G4160" not|strong="G3756" many|strong="G4183" mighty works|strong="G1411" there|strong="G1563" because of|strong="G1223" their|strong="G0846" unbelief|strong="G0570".
