1 Levantando-se Jesus, foi dali para o território da Judeia, além do Jordão. E outra vez as multidões se reuniram junto a ele, e, de novo, ele as ensinava, segundo o seu costume.

2 E, aproximando-se alguns fariseus, o experimentaram, perguntando-lhe: É lícito ao marido repudiar sua mulher?

3 Ele lhes respondeu: Que vos ordenou Moisés?
4 And|strong="G1161" they said|strong="G2036", Moses|strong="G3475" suffered|strong="G2010" to write|strong="G1125" a bill|strong="G0975" of divorcement|strong="G0647", and|strong="G2532" to put her away|strong="G0630".
4 Tornaram eles: Moisés permitiu lavrar carta de divórcio e repudiar.

5 Mas Jesus lhes disse: Por causa da dureza do vosso coração, ele vos deixou escrito esse mandamento;

6 porém, desde o princípio da criação, Deus os fez homem e mulher.

7 Por isso, deixará o homem a seu pai e mãe [e unir-se-á a sua mulher],

8 e, com sua mulher, serão os dois uma só carne. De modo que já não são dois, mas uma só carne.

9 Portanto, o que Deus ajuntou não separe o homem.

10 Em casa, voltaram os discípulos a interrogá-lo sobre este assunto.
11 And|strong="G2532" he saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall put away|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w wife|strong="G1135"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w marry|strong="G1060"\+w* \+w another|strong="G0243"\+w*, \+w committeth adultery|strong="G3429"\+w* \+w against|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w her|strong="G0846"\+w*.
11 E ele lhes disse: Quem repudiar sua mulher e casar com outra comete adultério contra aquela.
12 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w a woman|strong="G1135"\+w* \+w shall put away|strong="G0630"\+w* \+w her|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w husband|strong="G0435"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be married to|strong="G1060"\+w* \+w another|strong="G0243"\+w*, \+w she committeth adultery|strong="G3429"\+w*.
12 E, se ela repudiar seu marido e casar com outro, comete adultério.
13 And|strong="G2532" they brought|strong="G4374" young children|strong="G3813" to him|strong="G0846", that|strong="G2443" he should touch|strong="G0680" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G1161" his disciples|strong="G3101" rebuked|strong="G2008" those that brought|strong="G4374" them.
13 Então, lhe trouxeram algumas crianças para que as tocasse, mas os discípulos os repreendiam.
14 But|strong="G1161" when|strong="G1492" Jesus|strong="G2424" saw|strong="G1492" it, he was much displeased|strong="G0023", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Suffer|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w the little children|strong="G3813"\+w* \+w to come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G4314"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w forbid|strong="G2967"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w of such|strong="G5108"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
14 Jesus, porém, vendo isto, indignou-se e disse-lhes: Deixai vir a mim os pequeninos, não os embaraceis, porque dos tais é o reino de Deus.
15 \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w Whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1209"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w receive|strong="G1209"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* \+w a little child|strong="G3813"\+w*, \+w he shall|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w there|strong="G0846"\+w*\+w in|strong="G1519"\+w*.
15 Em verdade vos digo: Quem não receber o reino de Deus como uma criança de maneira nenhuma entrará nele.
16 And|strong="G2532" he took|strong="G1723" them|strong="G0846" up in his arms|strong="G1723", put|strong="G5087" his hands|strong="G5495" upon|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", and blessed|strong="G2127" them|strong="G0846".
16 Então, tomando-as nos braços e impondo-lhes as mãos, as abençoava.
17 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G1607" he|strong="G0846" was gone forth|strong="G1607" into|strong="G1519" the way|strong="G3598", there came|strong="G4370" one|strong="G1520" running|strong="G4370", and|strong="G2532" kneeled|strong="G1120" to him|strong="G0846", and asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", Good|strong="G0018" Master|strong="G1320", what|strong="G5101" shall I do|strong="G4160" that|strong="G2443" I may inherit|strong="G2816" eternal|strong="G0166" life|strong="G2222"?
17 E, pondo-se Jesus a caminho, correu um homem ao seu encontro e, ajoelhando-se, perguntou-lhe: Bom Mestre, que farei para herdar a vida eterna?
18 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Why|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w callest thou|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w good|strong="G0018"\+w*? \+add there is\+add* \+w none|strong="G3762"\+w* \+w good|strong="G0018"\+w* \+w but|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w one|strong="G1520"\+w*, \+add that is\+add*, \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
18 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Por que me chamas bom? Ninguém é bom senão um, que é Deus.
19 \+w Thou knowest|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w the commandments|strong="G1785"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G3431"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w commit adultery|strong="G3431"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G5407"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w kill|strong="G5407"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G2813"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w steal|strong="G2813"\+w*, \+w Do|strong="G5576"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w bear false witness|strong="G5576"\+w*, \+w Defraud|strong="G0650"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*, \+w Honour|strong="G5091"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w father|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w*.
19 Sabes os mandamentos: Não matarás, não adulterarás, não furtarás, não dirás falso testemunho, não defraudarás ninguém, honra a teu pai e tua mãe.
20 And|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Master|strong="G1320", all|strong="G3956" these|strong="G5023" have I observed|strong="G5442" from|strong="G1537" my|strong="G3450" youth|strong="G3503".
20 Então, ele respondeu: Mestre, tudo isso tenho observado desde a minha juventude.
21 Then|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" beholding|strong="G1689" him|strong="G0846" loved|strong="G0025" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w One thing|strong="G1520"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w lackest|strong="G5302"\+w*: \+w go thy way|strong="G5217"\+w*, \+w sell|strong="G4453"\+w* \+w whatsoever|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w thou hast|strong="G2192"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w to the poor|strong="G4434"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w thou shalt have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w treasure|strong="G2344"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w come|strong="G1204"\+w*, \+w take up|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w the cross|strong="G4716"\+w*, \+w and follow|strong="G0190"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w*.
21 E Jesus, fitando-o, o amou e disse: Só uma coisa te falta: Vai, vende tudo o que tens, dá-o aos pobres e terás um tesouro no céu; então, vem e segue-me.
22 And|strong="G1161" he was sad|strong="G4768" at|strong="G1909" that saying|strong="G3056", and went away|strong="G0565" grieved|strong="G3076": for|strong="G1063" he|strong="G2258" had|strong="G2192" great|strong="G4183" possessions|strong="G2933".
22 Ele, porém, contrariado com esta palavra, retirou-se triste, porque era dono de muitas propriedades.
23 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" looked round about|strong="G4017", and saith|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3101" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", \+w How|strong="G4459"\+w* \+w hardly|strong="G1423"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w they that have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w riches|strong="G5536"\+w* \+w enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*!
23 Então, Jesus, olhando ao redor, disse aos seus discípulos: Quão dificilmente entrarão no reino de Deus os que têm riquezas!
24 And|strong="G1161" the disciples|strong="G3101" were astonished|strong="G2284" at|strong="G1909" his|strong="G0846" words|strong="G3056". But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" answereth|strong="G0611" again|strong="G3825", and saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Children|strong="G5043"\+w*, \+w how|strong="G4459"\+w* \+w hard|strong="G1422"\+w* \+w is it|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w for them that trust|strong="G3982"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w riches|strong="G5536"\+w* \+w to enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*!
24 Os discípulos estranharam estas palavras; mas Jesus insistiu em dizer-lhes: Filhos, quão difícil é [para os que confiam nas riquezas] entrar no reino de Deus!
25 \+w It is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w easier|strong="G2123"\+w* \+w for a camel|strong="G2574"\+w* \+w to go|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w through|strong="G1223"\+w* \+w the eye|strong="G5168"\+w* \+w of a needle|strong="G4476"\+w*, \+w than|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w for a rich man|strong="G4145"\+w* \+w to enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
25 É mais fácil passar um camelo pelo fundo de uma agulha do que entrar um rico no reino de Deus.
26 And|strong="G1161" they were astonished|strong="G1605" out of measure|strong="G4057", saying|strong="G3004" among|strong="G4314" themselves|strong="G1438", Who|strong="G5101" then|strong="G2532" can|strong="G1410" be saved|strong="G4982"?
26 Eles ficaram sobremodo maravilhados, dizendo entre si: Então, quem pode ser salvo?
27 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" looking upon|strong="G1689" them|strong="G0846" saith|strong="G3004", \+w With|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+add it is\+add* \+w impossible|strong="G0102"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w with|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w all things|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w possible|strong="G1415"\+w*.
27 Jesus, porém, fitando neles o olhar, disse: Para os homens é impossível; contudo, não para Deus, porque para Deus tudo é possível.
28 Then|strong="G2532" Peter|strong="G4074" began|strong="G0756" to say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Lo|strong="G2400", we|strong="G2249" have left|strong="G0863" all|strong="G3956", and|strong="G2532" have followed|strong="G0190" thee|strong="G4671".
28 Então, Pedro começou a dizer-lhe: Eis que nós tudo deixamos e te seguimos.

29 Tornou Jesus: Em verdade vos digo que ninguém há que tenha deixado casa, ou irmãos, ou irmãs, ou mãe, ou pai, ou filhos, ou campos por amor de mim e por amor do evangelho,
30 \+w But|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w he shall receive|strong="G2983"\+w* \+w an hundredfold|strong="G1542"\+w* \+w now|strong="G3568"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w this|strong="G5129"\+w* \+w time|strong="G2540"\+w*, \+w houses|strong="G3614"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w brethren|strong="G0080"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w sisters|strong="G0079"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w mothers|strong="G3384"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w children|strong="G5043"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w lands|strong="G0068"\+w*, \+w with|strong="G3326"\+w* \+w persecutions|strong="G1375"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the world|strong="G0165"\+w* \+w to come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w eternal|strong="G0166"\+w* \+w life|strong="G2222"\+w*.
30 que não receba, já no presente, o cêntuplo de casas, irmãos, irmãs, mães, filhos e campos, com perseguições; e, no mundo por vir, a vida eterna.
31 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w many|strong="G4183"\+w* \+add that are\+add* \+w first|strong="G4413"\+w* \+w shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w last|strong="G2078"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the last|strong="G2078"\+w* \+w first|strong="G4413"\+w*.
31 Porém muitos primeiros serão últimos; e os últimos, primeiros.
32 And|strong="G1161" they were|strong="G2258" in|strong="G1722" the way|strong="G3598" going up|strong="G0305" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2414"; and|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" went before|strong="G4254" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" they were amazed|strong="G2284"; and|strong="G2532" as they followed|strong="G0190", they were afraid|strong="G5399". And|strong="G2532" he took|strong="G3880" again|strong="G3825" the twelve|strong="G1427", and began|strong="G0756" to tell|strong="G3004" them|strong="G0846" what things should|strong="G3195" happen|strong="G4819" unto him|strong="G0846",
32 Estavam de caminho, subindo para Jerusalém, e Jesus ia adiante dos seus discípulos. Estes se admiravam e o seguiam tomados de apreensões. E Jesus, tornando a levar à parte os doze, passou a revelar-lhes as coisas que lhe deviam sobrevir, dizendo:
33 Saying, \+w Behold|strong="G2400"\+w*, \+w we go up|strong="G0305"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w Jerusalem|strong="G2414"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall be delivered|strong="G3860"\+w* \+w unto the chief priests|strong="G0749"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w unto the scribes|strong="G1122"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they shall condemn|strong="G2632"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w to death|strong="G2288"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall deliver|strong="G3860"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w to the Gentiles|strong="G1484"\+w*:
33 Eis que subimos para Jerusalém, e o Filho do Homem será entregue aos principais sacerdotes e aos escribas; condená-lo-ão à morte e o entregarão aos gentios;
34 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w they shall mock|strong="G1702"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall scourge|strong="G3146"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall spit upon|strong="G1716"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall kill|strong="G0615"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w*: \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w third|strong="G5154"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w he shall rise again|strong="G0450"\+w*.
34 hão de escarnecê-lo, cuspir nele, açoitá-lo e matá-lo; mas, depois de três dias, ressuscitará.
35 And|strong="G2532" James|strong="G2385" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491", the sons|strong="G5207" of Zebedee|strong="G2199", come unto|strong="G4365" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Master|strong="G1320", we would|strong="G2309" that|strong="G2443" thou shouldest do|strong="G4160" for us|strong="G2254" whatsoever|strong="G3739" we shall desire|strong="G0154".
35 Então, se aproximaram dele Tiago e João, filhos de Zebedeu, dizendo-lhe: Mestre, queremos que nos concedas o que te vamos pedir.
36 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w What|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w would ye that|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w I|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w should do|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w for you|strong="G5213"\+w*?
36 E ele lhes perguntou: Que quereis que vos faça?
37 They said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Grant|strong="G1325" unto us|strong="G2254" that|strong="G2443" we may sit|strong="G2523", one|strong="G1520" on|strong="G1537" thy|strong="G4675" right hand|strong="G1188", and|strong="G2532" the other|strong="G1520" on|strong="G1537" thy|strong="G4675" left hand|strong="G2176", in|strong="G1722" thy|strong="G4675" glory|strong="G1391".
37 Responderam-lhe: Permite-nos que, na tua glória, nos assentemos um à tua direita e o outro à tua esquerda.

52 Então, Jesus lhe disse: Vai, a tua fé te salvou. E imediatamente tornou a ver e seguia a Jesus estrada fora.
