1 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872" after|strong="H0310" the death|strong="H4194" of the two|strong="H8147" sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175", when they offered|strong="H7126" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and died|strong="H4191";
2 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Speak|strong="H1696" unto Aaron|strong="H0175" thy brother|strong="H0251", that he come|strong="H0935" not at all times|strong="H6256" into the holy|strong="H6944" place within|strong="H1004" the vail|strong="H6532" before|strong="H6440" the mercy seat|strong="H3727", which is upon the ark|strong="H0727"; that he die|strong="H4191" not: for I will appear|strong="H7200" in the cloud|strong="H6051" upon the mercy|strong="H3727" seat.
3 Thus|strong="H2063" shall Aaron|strong="H0175" come|strong="H0935" into the holy|strong="H6944" place: with a young|strong="H1121" bullock|strong="H6499" for a sin offering|strong="H2403", and a ram|strong="H0352" for a burnt offering|strong="H5930".
4 He shall put on|strong="H3847" the holy|strong="H6944" linen|strong="H0906" coat|strong="H3801", and he shall have the linen|strong="H0906" breeches|strong="H4370" upon his flesh|strong="H1320", and shall be girded|strong="H2296" with a linen|strong="H0906" girdle|strong="H0073", and with the linen|strong="H0906" mitre|strong="H4701" shall he be attired|strong="H6801": these|strong="H1992" are holy|strong="H6944" garments|strong="H0899"; therefore shall he wash|strong="H7364" his flesh|strong="H1320" in water|strong="H4325", and so put them on|strong="H3847".
5 And he shall take|strong="H3947" of the congregation|strong="H5712" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" two|strong="H8147" kids|strong="H8163" of the goats|strong="H5795" for a sin offering|strong="H2403", and one|strong="H0259" ram|strong="H0352" for a burnt offering|strong="H5930".
6 And Aaron|strong="H0175" shall offer|strong="H7126" his bullock|strong="H6499" of the sin offering|strong="H2403", which is for himself|strong="H1157", and make an atonement|strong="H3722" for himself, and for his house|strong="H1004".
7 And he shall take|strong="H3947" the two|strong="H8147" goats|strong="H8163", and present|strong="H5975" them before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* at the door|strong="H6607" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150".
8 And Aaron|strong="H0175" shall cast|strong="H5414" lots|strong="H1486" upon the two|strong="H8147" goats|strong="H8163"; one|strong="H0259" lot|strong="H1486" for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and the other|strong="H0259" lot|strong="H1486" for the scapegoat|strong="H5799".
9 And Aaron|strong="H0175" shall bring|strong="H7126" the goat|strong="H8163" upon which the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* lot|strong="H1486" fell|strong="H5927", and offer|strong="H6213" him for a sin offering|strong="H2403".
10 But the goat|strong="H8163", on which the lot|strong="H1486" fell|strong="H5927" to be the scapegoat|strong="H5799", shall be presented|strong="H5975" alive|strong="H2416" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to make an atonement|strong="H3722" with him, and to let him go|strong="H7971" for a scapegoat|strong="H5799" into the wilderness|strong="H4057".
11 And Aaron|strong="H0175" shall bring|strong="H7126" the bullock|strong="H6499" of the sin offering|strong="H2403", which is for himself, and shall make an atonement|strong="H3722" for himself, and for his house|strong="H1004", and shall kill|strong="H7819" the bullock|strong="H6499" of the sin offering|strong="H2403" which is for himself:
12 And he shall take|strong="H3947" a censer|strong="H4289" full|strong="H4393" of burning|strong="H0784" coals|strong="H1513" of fire|strong="H0784" from off the altar|strong="H4196" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and his hands|strong="H2651" full|strong="H4393" of sweet|strong="H5561" incense|strong="H7004" beaten small|strong="H1851", and bring|strong="H0935" it within|strong="H1004" the vail|strong="H6532":
13 And he shall put|strong="H5414" the incense|strong="H7004" upon the fire|strong="H0784" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that the cloud|strong="H6051" of the incense|strong="H7004" may cover|strong="H3680" the mercy seat|strong="H3727" that is upon the testimony|strong="H5715", that he die|strong="H4191" not:
14 And he shall take|strong="H3947" of the blood|strong="H1818" of the bullock|strong="H6499", and sprinkle|strong="H5137" it with his finger|strong="H0676" upon the mercy seat|strong="H3727" eastward|strong="H6924"; and before|strong="H6440" the mercy seat|strong="H3727" shall he sprinkle|strong="H5137" of the blood|strong="H1818" with his finger|strong="H0676" seven|strong="H7651" times|strong="H6471".
15 Then shall he kill|strong="H7819" the goat|strong="H8163" of the sin offering|strong="H2403", that is for the people|strong="H5971", and bring|strong="H0935" his blood|strong="H1818" within|strong="H1004" the vail|strong="H6532", and do|strong="H6213" with that blood|strong="H1818" as he did|strong="H6213" with the blood|strong="H1818" of the bullock|strong="H6499", and sprinkle|strong="H5137" it upon the mercy seat|strong="H3727", and before|strong="H6440" the mercy seat|strong="H3727":
16 And he shall make an atonement|strong="H3722" for the holy|strong="H6944" place, because of the uncleanness|strong="H2932" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", and because of their transgressions|strong="H6588" in all their sins|strong="H2403": and so shall he do|strong="H6213" for the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", that remaineth|strong="H7931" among them in the midst|strong="H8432" of their uncleanness|strong="H2932".
17 And there shall be no man|strong="H0120" in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150" when he goeth|strong="H0935" in to make an atonement|strong="H3722" in the holy|strong="H6944" place, until he come out|strong="H3318", and have made an atonement|strong="H3722" for himself, and for his household|strong="H1004", and for all the congregation|strong="H6951" of Israel|strong="H3478".
18 And he shall go out|strong="H3318" unto the altar|strong="H4196" that is before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and make an atonement|strong="H3722" for it; and shall take|strong="H3947" of the blood|strong="H1818" of the bullock|strong="H6499", and of the blood|strong="H1818" of the goat|strong="H8163", and put|strong="H5414" it upon the horns|strong="H7161" of the altar|strong="H4196" round about|strong="H5439".
19 And he shall sprinkle|strong="H5137" of the blood|strong="H1818" upon it with his finger|strong="H0676" seven|strong="H7651" times|strong="H6471", and cleanse|strong="H2891" it, and hallow|strong="H6942" it from the uncleanness|strong="H2932" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
20 And when he hath made an end|strong="H3615" of reconciling|strong="H3722" the holy|strong="H6944" place, and the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and the altar|strong="H4196", he shall bring|strong="H7126" the live|strong="H2416" goat|strong="H8163":
21 And Aaron|strong="H0175" shall lay|strong="H5564" both|strong="H8147" his hands|strong="H3027" upon the head|strong="H7218" of the live|strong="H2416" goat|strong="H8163", and confess|strong="H3034" over him all the iniquities|strong="H5771" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", and all their transgressions|strong="H6588" in all their sins|strong="H2403", putting|strong="H5414" them upon the head|strong="H7218" of the goat|strong="H8163", and shall send him away|strong="H7971" by the hand|strong="H3027" of a fit|strong="H6261" man|strong="H0376" into the wilderness|strong="H4057":
22 And the goat|strong="H8163" shall bear|strong="H5375" upon him all their iniquities|strong="H5771" unto a land|strong="H0776" not inhabited|strong="H1509": and he shall let go|strong="H7971" the goat|strong="H8163" in the wilderness|strong="H4057".
23 And Aaron|strong="H0175" shall come|strong="H0935" into the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and shall put off|strong="H6584" the linen|strong="H0906" garments|strong="H0899", which he put on|strong="H3847" when he went|strong="H0935" into the holy|strong="H6944" place, and shall leave|strong="H3240" them there:
24 And he shall wash|strong="H7364" his flesh|strong="H1320" with water|strong="H4325" in the holy|strong="H6918" place|strong="H4725", and put on|strong="H3847" his garments|strong="H0899", and come forth|strong="H3318", and offer|strong="H6213" his burnt offering|strong="H5930", and the burnt offering|strong="H5930" of the people|strong="H5971", and make an atonement|strong="H3722" for himself, and for the people|strong="H5971".
25 And the fat|strong="H2459" of the sin offering|strong="H2403" shall he burn|strong="H6999" upon the altar|strong="H4196".
26 And he that let go|strong="H7971" the goat|strong="H8163" for the scapegoat|strong="H5799" shall wash|strong="H3526" his clothes|strong="H0899", and bathe|strong="H7364" his flesh|strong="H1320" in water|strong="H4325", and afterward|strong="H0310" come|strong="H0935" into the camp|strong="H4264".
27 And the bullock|strong="H6499" for the sin offering|strong="H2403", and the goat|strong="H8163" for the sin offering|strong="H2403", whose blood|strong="H1818" was brought in|strong="H0935" to make atonement|strong="H3722" in the holy|strong="H6944" place, shall one carry forth|strong="H3318" without|strong="H2351" the camp|strong="H4264"; and they shall burn|strong="H8313" in the fire|strong="H0784" their skins|strong="H5785", and their flesh|strong="H1320", and their dung|strong="H6569".
28 And he that burneth|strong="H8313" them shall wash|strong="H3526" his clothes|strong="H0899", and bathe|strong="H7364" his flesh|strong="H1320" in water|strong="H4325", and afterward|strong="H0310" he shall come|strong="H0935" into the camp|strong="H4264".
29 And this shall be a statute|strong="H2708" for ever|strong="H5769" unto you: that in the seventh|strong="H7637" month|strong="H2320", on the tenth|strong="H6218" day of the month|strong="H2320", ye shall afflict|strong="H6031" your souls|strong="H5315", and do|strong="H6213" no work|strong="H4399" at all, whether it be one of your own country|strong="H0249", or a stranger|strong="H1616" that sojourneth|strong="H1481" among|strong="H8432" you:
30 For on that day|strong="H3117" shall the priest make an atonement|strong="H3722" for you, to cleanse|strong="H2891" you, that ye may be clean|strong="H2891" from all your sins|strong="H2403" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
31 It shall be a sabbath|strong="H7676" of rest|strong="H7677" unto you, and ye shall afflict|strong="H6031" your souls|strong="H5315", by a statute|strong="H2708" for ever|strong="H5769".
32 And the priest|strong="H3548", whom he shall anoint|strong="H4886", and whom he shall consecrate|strong="H4390" to minister in the priest’s office|strong="H3547" in his father’s|strong="H0001" stead, shall make the atonement|strong="H3722", and shall put on|strong="H3847" the linen|strong="H0906" clothes|strong="H0899", even the holy|strong="H6944" garments|strong="H0899":
33 And he shall make an atonement|strong="H3722" for the holy|strong="H6944" sanctuary|strong="H4720", and he shall make an atonement|strong="H3722" for the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and for the altar|strong="H4196", and he shall make an atonement|strong="H3722" for the priests|strong="H3548", and for all the people|strong="H5971" of the congregation|strong="H6951".
34 And this shall be an everlasting|strong="H5769" statute|strong="H2708" unto you, to make an atonement|strong="H3722" for the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" for all their sins|strong="H2403" once|strong="H0259" a year|strong="H8141". And he did|strong="H6213" as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* commanded|strong="H6680" Moses|strong="H4872".
