1 And Nadab|strong="H5070" and Abihu|strong="H0030", the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175", took|strong="H3947" either|strong="H0376" of them his censer|strong="H4289", and put|strong="H5414" fire|strong="H0784" therein|strong="H2004", and put|strong="H7760" incense|strong="H7004" thereon, and offered|strong="H7126" strange|strong="H2114" fire|strong="H0784" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, which he commanded|strong="H6680" them not.
2 And there went out|strong="H3318" fire|strong="H0784" from the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and devoured|strong="H0398" them, and they died|strong="H4191" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
3 Then Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto Aaron|strong="H0175", This is it that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696", saying|strong="H0559", I will be sanctified|strong="H6942" in them that come nigh|strong="H7138" me, and before|strong="H6440" all the people|strong="H5971" I will be glorified|strong="H3513". And Aaron|strong="H0175" held his peace|strong="H1826".
4 And Moses|strong="H4872" called|strong="H7121" Mishael|strong="H4332" and Elzaphan|strong="H0469", the sons|strong="H1121" of Uzziel|strong="H5816" the uncle|strong="H1730" of Aaron|strong="H0175", and said|strong="H0559" unto them, Come near|strong="H7126", carry|strong="H5375" your brethren|strong="H0251" from before|strong="H6440" the sanctuary|strong="H6944" out|strong="H2351" of the camp|strong="H4264".
5 So they went near|strong="H7126", and carried|strong="H5375" them in their coats|strong="H3801" out|strong="H2351" of the camp|strong="H4264"; as Moses|strong="H4872" had said|strong="H1696".
6 And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto Aaron|strong="H0175", and unto Eleazar|strong="H0499" and unto Ithamar|strong="H0385", his sons|strong="H1121", Uncover|strong="H6544" not your heads|strong="H7218", neither rend|strong="H6533" your clothes|strong="H0899"; lest ye die|strong="H4191", and lest wrath|strong="H7107" come upon all the people|strong="H5712": but let your brethren|strong="H0251", the whole house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", bewail|strong="H1058" the burning|strong="H8316" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath kindled|strong="H8313".
7 And ye shall not go out|strong="H3318" from the door|strong="H6607" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", lest ye die|strong="H4191": for the anointing|strong="H4888" oil|strong="H8081" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is upon you. And they did|strong="H6213" according to the word|strong="H1697" of Moses|strong="H4872".
8 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Aaron|strong="H0175", saying|strong="H0559",
9 Do not drink|strong="H8354" wine|strong="H3196" nor strong drink|strong="H7941", thou, nor thy sons|strong="H1121" with thee, when ye go|strong="H0935" into the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", lest ye die|strong="H4191": it shall be a statute|strong="H2708" for ever|strong="H5769" throughout your generations|strong="H1755":
10 And that ye may put difference|strong="H0914" between holy|strong="H6944" and unholy|strong="H2455", and between unclean|strong="H2931" and clean|strong="H2889";
11 And that ye may teach|strong="H3384" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" all the statutes|strong="H2706" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath spoken|strong="H1696" unto them by the hand|strong="H3027" of Moses|strong="H4872".
12 And Moses|strong="H4872" spake|strong="H1696" unto Aaron|strong="H0175", and unto Eleazar|strong="H0499" and unto Ithamar|strong="H0385", his sons|strong="H1121" that were left|strong="H3498", Take|strong="H3947" the meat offering|strong="H4503" that remaineth|strong="H3498" of the offerings|strong="H0801" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* made by fire|strong="H0801", and eat|strong="H0398" it without leaven|strong="H4682" beside|strong="H0681" the altar|strong="H4196": for it is most|strong="H6944" holy|strong="H6944":
13 And ye shall eat|strong="H0398" it in the holy|strong="H6918" place|strong="H4725", because it is thy due|strong="H2706", and thy sons’|strong="H1121" due|strong="H2706", of the sacrifices|strong="H0801" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* made by fire|strong="H0801": for so I am commanded|strong="H6680".
14 And the wave|strong="H8573" breast|strong="H2373" and heave|strong="H8641" shoulder|strong="H7785" shall ye eat|strong="H0398" in a clean|strong="H2889" place|strong="H4725"; thou, and thy sons|strong="H1121", and thy daughters|strong="H1323" with thee: for they be thy due|strong="H2706", and thy sons’|strong="H1121" due|strong="H2706", which are given|strong="H5414" out of the sacrifices|strong="H2077" of peace offerings|strong="H8002" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
15 The heave|strong="H8641" shoulder|strong="H7785" and the wave|strong="H8573" breast|strong="H2373" shall they bring|strong="H0935" with the offerings made by fire|strong="H0801" of the fat|strong="H2459", to wave|strong="H5130" it for a wave offering|strong="H8573" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’|strong="H1121" with thee, by a statute|strong="H2706" for ever|strong="H5769"; as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath commanded|strong="H6680".
16 And Moses|strong="H4872" diligently|strong="H1875" sought|strong="H1875" the goat|strong="H8163" of the sin offering|strong="H2403", and, behold, it was burnt|strong="H8313": and he was angry|strong="H7107" with Eleazar|strong="H0499" and Ithamar|strong="H0385", the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175" which were left|strong="H3498" alive, saying|strong="H0559",
17 Wherefore have ye not eaten|strong="H0398" the sin offering|strong="H2403" in the holy|strong="H6944" place|strong="H4725", seeing it is most|strong="H6944" holy|strong="H6944", and God hath given|strong="H5414" it you to bear|strong="H5375" the iniquity|strong="H5771" of the congregation|strong="H5712", to make atonement|strong="H3722" for them before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*?
18 Behold|strong="H2005", the blood|strong="H1818" of it was not brought|strong="H0935" in within|strong="H6441" the holy|strong="H6944" place: ye should indeed|strong="H0398" have eaten|strong="H0398" it in the holy|strong="H6944" place, as I commanded|strong="H6680".
19 And Aaron|strong="H0175" said|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Behold, this day|strong="H3117" have they offered|strong="H7126" their sin offering|strong="H2403" and their burnt offering|strong="H5930" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and such things have befallen|strong="H7122" me: and if I had eaten|strong="H0398" the sin offering|strong="H2403" to day|strong="H3117", should it have been accepted|strong="H3190" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*?
20 And when Moses|strong="H4872" heard|strong="H8085" that, he was content|strong="H3190".
