1 And after|strong="H0310" Abimelech|strong="H0040" there arose|strong="H6965" to defend|strong="H3467" Israel|strong="H3478" Tola|strong="H8439" the son|strong="H1121" of Puah|strong="H6312", the son|strong="H1121" of Dodo|strong="H1734", a man|strong="H0376" of Issachar|strong="H3485"; and he dwelt|strong="H3427" in Shamir|strong="H8069" in mount|strong="H2022" Ephraim|strong="H0669".
1 Depois de Abimeleque, um homem de Issacar chamado Tolá, filho de Puá, filho de Dodô, levantou-se para libertar Israel. Ele morava em Samir, nos montes de Efraim,

6 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" did|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" again|strong="H3254" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and served|strong="H5647" Baalim|strong="H1168", and Ashtaroth|strong="H6252", and the gods|strong="H0430" of Syria|strong="H0758", and the gods|strong="H0430" of Zidon|strong="H6721", and the gods|strong="H0430" of Moab|strong="H4124", and the gods|strong="H0430" of the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983", and the gods|strong="H0430" of the Philistines|strong="H6430", and forsook|strong="H5800" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and served|strong="H5647" not him.
6 Mais uma vez os israelitas fizeram o que o Senhor reprova. Serviram aos baalins e aos postes sagrados, e aos deuses de Arã, aos deuses de Sidom, aos deuses de Moabe, aos deuses dos amonitas e aos deuses dos filisteus. E como os israelitas abandonaram o Senhor e não mais lhe prestaram culto,
7 And the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was hot|strong="H2734" against Israel|strong="H3478", and he sold|strong="H4376" them into the hands|strong="H3027" of the Philistines|strong="H6430", and into the hands|strong="H3027" of the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983".
7 a ira do Senhor se acendeu contra eles. Ele os entregou nas mãos dos filisteus e dos amonitas,
8 And that year|strong="H8141" they vexed|strong="H7492" and oppressed|strong="H7533" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": eighteen|strong="H8083" years|strong="H8141", all the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" that were on the other side|strong="H5676" Jordan|strong="H3383" in the land|strong="H0776" of the Amorites|strong="H0567", which is in Gilead|strong="H1568".
8 que naquele ano os humilharam e os oprimiram. Durante dezoito anos oprimiram a todos os israelitas do lado leste do Jordão, em Gileade, terra dos amorreus.
9 Moreover the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" passed over|strong="H5674" Jordan|strong="H3383" to fight|strong="H3898" also against Judah|strong="H3063", and against Benjamin|strong="H1144", and against the house|strong="H1004" of Ephraim|strong="H0669"; so that Israel|strong="H3478" was sore|strong="H3966" distressed|strong="H3334".
9 Os amonitas também atravessaram o Jordão para lutar contra Judá, contra Benjamim e contra a tribo de Efraim; e grande angústia dominou Israel.
10 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" cried|strong="H2199" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying|strong="H0559", We have sinned|strong="H2398" against thee, both because we have forsaken|strong="H5800" our God|strong="H0430", and also served|strong="H5647" Baalim|strong="H1168".
10 Então os israelitas clamaram ao Senhor, dizendo: "Temos pecado contra ti, pois abandonamos o nosso Deus e prestamos culto aos baalins! "
11 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians|strong="H4714", and from the Amorites|strong="H0567", from the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983", and from the Philistines|strong="H6430"?
11 O Senhor respondeu: "Quando os egípcios, os amorreus, os amonitas, os filisteus,
12 The Zidonians|strong="H6722" also, and the Amalekites|strong="H6002", and the Maonites|strong="H4584", did oppress|strong="H3905" you; and ye cried|strong="H6817" to me, and I delivered|strong="H3467" you out of their hand|strong="H3027".
12 os sidônios, os amalequitas e os maonitas os oprimiram, e vocês clamaram a mim, e eu os libertei das mãos deles.
13 Yet ye have forsaken|strong="H5800" me, and served|strong="H5647" other|strong="H0312" gods|strong="H0430": wherefore I will deliver|strong="H3467" you no more|strong="H3254".
13 Mas vocês me abandonaram e prestaram culto a outros deuses. Por isso não os livrarei mais.
14 Go|strong="H3212" and cry|strong="H2199" unto the gods|strong="H0430" which ye have chosen|strong="H0977"; let them|strong="H1992" deliver|strong="H3467" you in the time|strong="H6256" of your tribulation|strong="H6869".
14 Clamem aos deuses que vocês escolheram. Que eles os livrem na hora do aperto! "
15 And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" said|strong="H0559" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, We have sinned|strong="H2398": do|strong="H6213" thou unto us whatsoever seemeth|strong="H5869" good|strong="H2896" unto thee; deliver|strong="H5337" us only, we pray thee, this day|strong="H3117".
15 Os israelitas, porém, disseram ao Senhor: "Nós pecamos. Faze conosco o que achares melhor, mas te rogamos, livra-nos agora".
16 And they put away|strong="H5493" the strange|strong="H5236" gods|strong="H0430" from among|strong="H7130" them, and served|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and his soul|strong="H5315" was grieved|strong="H7114" for the misery|strong="H5999" of Israel|strong="H3478".
16 Então eles se desfizeram dos deuses estrangeiros que havia entre eles e prestaram culto ao Senhor. E ele não pôde mais suportar o sofrimento de Israel.
17 Then the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983" were gathered together|strong="H6817", and encamped|strong="H2583" in Gilead|strong="H1568". And the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" assembled themselves together|strong="H0622", and encamped|strong="H2583" in Mizpeh|strong="H4709".
17 Quando os amonitas foram convocados e acamparam em Gileade, os israelitas reuniram-se e acamparam em Mispá.
18 And the people|strong="H5971" and princes|strong="H8269" of Gilead|strong="H1568" said|strong="H0559" one|strong="H0376" to another|strong="H7453", What man|strong="H0376" is he that will begin|strong="H2490" to fight|strong="H3898" against the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983"? he shall be head|strong="H7218" over all the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Gilead|strong="H1568".
18 Os líderes do povo de Gileade disseram uns aos outros: "Quem iniciar o ataque contra os amonitas será chefe dos que vivem em Gileade".
