1 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shewed|strong="H7200" me, and, behold, two|strong="H8147" baskets|strong="H1736" of figs|strong="H8384" were set|strong="H3259" before|strong="H6440" the temple|strong="H1964" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, after|strong="H0310" that Nebuchadrezzar|strong="H5019" king|strong="H4428" of Babylon|strong="H0894" had carried away captive|strong="H1540" Jeconiah|strong="H3204" the son|strong="H1121" of Jehoiakim|strong="H3079" king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", and the princes|strong="H8269" of Judah|strong="H3063", with the carpenters|strong="H2796" and smiths|strong="H4525", from Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and had brought|strong="H0935" them to Babylon|strong="H0894".
1 Depois que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, levou para o exílio o rei Joaquim, filho de Jeoaquim, junto com os oficiais de Judá e seus artífices e artesãos, o S enhor me deu esta visão. Vi dois cestos de figos postos diante do templo do S enhor , em Jerusalém.
2 One|strong="H0259" basket|strong="H1731" had very|strong="H3966" good|strong="H2896" figs|strong="H8384", even like the figs|strong="H8384" that are first ripe|strong="H1073": and the other|strong="H0259" basket|strong="H1731" had very|strong="H3966" naughty|strong="H7451" figs|strong="H8384", which could not be eaten|strong="H0398", they were so bad|strong="H7455".
2 Um cesto estava cheio de figos frescos e maduros, e o outro, cheio de figos ruins e tão estragados que não serviam para comer.
3 Then said|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto me, What seest|strong="H7200" thou, Jeremiah|strong="H3414"? And I said|strong="H0559", Figs|strong="H8384"; the good|strong="H2896" figs|strong="H8384", very|strong="H3966" good|strong="H2896"; and the evil|strong="H7451", very|strong="H3966" evil|strong="H7451", that cannot be eaten|strong="H0398", they are so evil|strong="H7455".
3 Então o S enhor me disse: “O que você vê, Jeremias?”. “Figos”, respondi. “Alguns muito bons e outros muito ruins, tão estragados que não servem para comer.”
4 Again the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto me, saying|strong="H0559",
4 Então o S enhor me deu esta mensagem:
5 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478"; Like these good|strong="H2896" figs|strong="H8384", so will I acknowledge|strong="H5234" them that are carried away captive|strong="H1546" of Judah|strong="H3063", whom I have sent|strong="H7971" out of this place|strong="H4725" into the land|strong="H0776" of the Chaldeans|strong="H3778" for their good|strong="H2896".
5 “Assim diz o S enhor , o Deus de Israel: Os figos bons representam os exilados que enviei de Judá para a terra dos babilônios.
6 For I will set|strong="H7760" mine eyes|strong="H5869" upon them for good|strong="H2896", and I will bring them again|strong="H7725" to this land|strong="H0776": and I will build|strong="H1129" them, and not pull them down|strong="H2040"; and I will plant|strong="H5193" them, and not pluck them up|strong="H5428".
6 Eu os guardarei e cuidarei deles e os trarei de volta para cá. Eu os edificarei, e não os derrubarei. Eu os plantarei, e não os arrancarei.
7 And I will give|strong="H5414" them an heart|strong="H3820" to know|strong="H3045" me, that I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and they shall be my people|strong="H5971", and I will be their God|strong="H0430": for they shall return|strong="H7725" unto me with their whole heart|strong="H3820".
7 Darei a eles coração capaz de reconhecer que eu sou o S enhor . Eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus, pois eles se voltarão para mim de todo o coração.
8 And as the evil|strong="H7451" figs|strong="H8384", which cannot be eaten|strong="H0398", they are so evil|strong="H7455"; surely thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, So will I give|strong="H5414" Zedekiah|strong="H6667" the king|strong="H4428" of Judah|strong="H3063", and his princes|strong="H8269", and the residue|strong="H7611" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389", that remain|strong="H7604" in this land|strong="H0776", and them that dwell|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714":
8 “Os figos ruins”, diz o S enhor , “representam Zedequias, rei de Judá, seus oficiais, o povo que restou em Jerusalém e aqueles que moram no Egito. Eu os tratarei como figos ruins, tão estragados que não servem para comer.
9 And I will deliver|strong="H5414" them to be removed|strong="H2189" into all the kingdoms|strong="H4467" of the earth|strong="H0776" for their hurt|strong="H7451", to be a reproach|strong="H2781" and a proverb|strong="H4912", a taunt|strong="H8148" and a curse|strong="H7045", in all places|strong="H4725" whither I shall drive|strong="H5080" them.
9 Farei deles objeto de horror e símbolo de calamidade para todas as nações na terra. Em todos os lugares por onde eu os espalhar, serão alvo de vergonha e zombaria, insulto e maldição.
10 And I will send|strong="H7971" the sword|strong="H2719", the famine|strong="H7458", and the pestilence|strong="H1698", among them, till they be consumed|strong="H8552" from off the land|strong="H0127" that I gave|strong="H5414" unto them and to their fathers|strong="H0001".
10 E eu enviarei guerra, fome e doença até que tenham desaparecido da terra de Israel, que dei a eles e a seus antepassados.”
