2 But your iniquities|strong="H5771" have separated|strong="H0914" between|strong="H0996" you and your God|strong="H0430", and your sins|strong="H2403" have hid|strong="H5641" his face|strong="H6440" from you, that he will not hear|strong="H8085".
3 For your hands|strong="H3709" are defiled|strong="H1351" with blood|strong="H1818", and your fingers|strong="H0676" with iniquity|strong="H5771"; your lips|strong="H8193" have spoken|strong="H1696" lies|strong="H8267", your tongue|strong="H3956" hath muttered|strong="H1897" perverseness|strong="H5766".
4 None calleth|strong="H7121" for justice|strong="H6664", nor any pleadeth|strong="H8199" for truth|strong="H0530": they trust|strong="H0982" in vanity|strong="H8414", and speak|strong="H1696" lies|strong="H7723"; they conceive|strong="H2029" mischief|strong="H5999", and bring forth|strong="H3205" iniquity|strong="H0205".
5 They hatch|strong="H1234" cockatrice’|strong="H6848" eggs|strong="H1000", and weave|strong="H0707" the spider’s|strong="H5908" web|strong="H6980": he that eateth|strong="H0398" of their eggs|strong="H1000" dieth|strong="H4191", and that which is crushed|strong="H2116" breaketh out|strong="H1234" into a viper|strong="H0660".
6 Their webs|strong="H6980" shall not become garments|strong="H0899", neither shall they cover|strong="H3680" themselves with their works|strong="H4639": their works|strong="H4639" are works|strong="H4639" of iniquity|strong="H0205", and the act|strong="H6467" of violence|strong="H2555" is in their hands|strong="H3709".
7 Their feet|strong="H7272" run|strong="H7323" to evil|strong="H7451", and they make haste|strong="H4116" to shed|strong="H8210" innocent|strong="H5355" blood|strong="H1818": their thoughts|strong="H4284" are thoughts|strong="H4284" of iniquity|strong="H0205"; wasting|strong="H7701" and destruction|strong="H7667" are in their paths|strong="H4546".
8 The way|strong="H1870" of peace|strong="H7965" they know|strong="H3045" not; and there is no judgment|strong="H4941" in their goings|strong="H4570": they have made them crooked|strong="H6140" paths|strong="H5410": whosoever goeth|strong="H1869" therein shall not know|strong="H3045" peace|strong="H7965".
9 Therefore is judgment|strong="H4941" far|strong="H7368" from us, neither doth justice|strong="H6666" overtake|strong="H5381" us: we wait|strong="H6960" for light|strong="H0216", but behold obscurity|strong="H2822"; for brightness|strong="H5054", but we walk|strong="H1980" in darkness|strong="H0653".
10 We grope|strong="H1659" for the wall|strong="H7023" like the blind|strong="H5787", and we grope|strong="H1659" as if we had no eyes|strong="H5869": we stumble|strong="H3782" at noonday|strong="H6672" as in the night|strong="H5399"; we are in desolate|strong="H0820" places as dead|strong="H4191" men.
11 We roar|strong="H1993" all like bears|strong="H1677", and mourn|strong="H1897" sore|strong="H1897" like doves|strong="H3123": we look|strong="H6960" for judgment|strong="H4941", but there is none; for salvation|strong="H3444", but it is far off|strong="H7368" from us.
12 For our transgressions|strong="H6588" are multiplied|strong="H7231" before thee, and our sins|strong="H2403" testify|strong="H6030" against us: for our transgressions|strong="H6588" are with us; and as for our iniquities|strong="H5771", we know|strong="H3045" them;
13 In transgressing|strong="H6586" and lying|strong="H3584" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and departing away|strong="H5253" from|strong="H0310" our God|strong="H0430", speaking|strong="H1696" oppression|strong="H6233" and revolt|strong="H5627", conceiving|strong="H2029" and uttering|strong="H1897" from the heart|strong="H3820" words|strong="H1697" of falsehood|strong="H8267".
14 And judgment|strong="H4941" is turned away|strong="H5253" backward|strong="H0268", and justice|strong="H6666" standeth|strong="H5975" afar off|strong="H7350": for truth|strong="H0571" is fallen|strong="H3782" in the street|strong="H7339", and equity|strong="H5229" cannot|strong="H3201" enter|strong="H0935".
15 Yea, truth|strong="H0571" faileth|strong="H5737"; and he that departeth|strong="H5493" from evil|strong="H7451" maketh himself a prey|strong="H7997": and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* saw|strong="H7200" it, and it displeased|strong="H3415" him that there was no judgment|strong="H4941".
16 And he saw|strong="H7200" that there was no man|strong="H0376", and wondered|strong="H8074" that there was no intercessor|strong="H6293": therefore his arm|strong="H2220" brought salvation|strong="H3467" unto him; and his righteousness|strong="H6666", it sustained|strong="H5564" him.
17 For he put on|strong="H3847" righteousness|strong="H6666" as a breastplate|strong="H8302", and an helmet|strong="H3553" of salvation|strong="H3444" upon his head|strong="H7218"; and he put on|strong="H3847" the garments|strong="H0899" of vengeance|strong="H5359" for clothing|strong="H8516", and was clad|strong="H5844" with zeal|strong="H7068" as a cloke|strong="H4598".
18 According to|strong="H5921" their deeds|strong="H1578", accordingly he will repay|strong="H7999", fury|strong="H2534" to his adversaries|strong="H6862", recompence|strong="H1576" to his enemies|strong="H0341"; to the islands|strong="H0339" he will repay|strong="H7999" recompence|strong="H1576".
19 So shall they fear|strong="H3372" the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* from the west|strong="H4628", and his glory|strong="H3519" from the rising|strong="H4217" of the sun|strong="H8121". When the enemy|strong="H6862" shall come in|strong="H0935" like a flood|strong="H5104", the Spirit|strong="H7307" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall lift up a standard|strong="H5127" against him.
20 And the Redeemer|strong="H1350" shall come|strong="H0935" to Zion|strong="H6726", and unto them that turn|strong="H7725" from transgression|strong="H6588" in Jacob|strong="H3290", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
21 As for me, this is my covenant|strong="H1285" with them, saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; My spirit|strong="H7307" that is upon thee, and my words|strong="H1697" which I have put|strong="H7760" in thy mouth|strong="H6310", shall not depart|strong="H4185" out of thy mouth|strong="H6310", nor out of the mouth|strong="H6310" of thy seed|strong="H2233", nor out of the mouth|strong="H6310" of thy seed’s|strong="H2233" seed|strong="H2233", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, from henceforth and for|strong="H5704" ever|strong="H5769".
