1 And Adam|strong="H0120" knew|strong="H3045" Eve|strong="H2332" his wife|strong="H0802"; and she conceived|strong="H2029", and bare|strong="H3205" Cain|strong="H7014", and said|strong="H0559", I have gotten|strong="H7069" a man|strong="H0376" from|strong="H0854" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
1 Coabitou o homem com Eva, sua mulher. Esta concebeu e deu à luz a Caim; então, disse: Adquiri um varão com o auxílio do Senhor .
2 And she again|strong="H3254" bare|strong="H3205" his brother|strong="H0251" Abel|strong="H1893". And Abel|strong="H1893" was a keeper|strong="H7462" of sheep|strong="H6629", but Cain|strong="H7014" was a tiller|strong="H5647" of the ground|strong="H0127".
2 Depois, deu à luz a Abel, seu irmão. Abel foi pastor de ovelhas, e Caim, lavrador.
3 And in process|strong="H7093" of time|strong="H3117" it came to pass, that Cain|strong="H7014" brought|strong="H0935" of the fruit|strong="H6529" of the ground|strong="H0127" an offering|strong="H4503" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
3 Aconteceu que no fim de uns tempos trouxe Caim do fruto da terra uma oferta ao Senhor .
4 And Abel|strong="H1893", he|strong="H1931" also brought|strong="H0935" of the firstlings|strong="H1062" of his flock|strong="H6629" and of the fat|strong="H2459" thereof. And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had respect|strong="H8159" unto Abel|strong="H1893" and to his offering|strong="H4503":
4 Abel, por sua vez, trouxe das primícias do seu rebanho e da gordura deste. Agradou-se o Senhor de Abel e de sua oferta;
5 But unto Cain|strong="H7014" and to his offering|strong="H4503" he had not respect|strong="H8159". And Cain|strong="H7014" was very|strong="H3966" wroth|strong="H2734", and his countenance|strong="H6440" fell|strong="H5307".
5 ao passo que de Caim e de sua oferta não se agradou. Irou-se, pois, sobremaneira, Caim, e descaiu-lhe o semblante.
6 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Cain|strong="H7014", Why art thou wroth|strong="H2734"? and why is thy countenance|strong="H6440" fallen|strong="H5307"?
6 Então, lhe disse o Senhor : Por que andas irado, e por que descaiu o teu semblante?
7 If|strong="H0518" thou doest well|strong="H3190", shalt thou not be accepted|strong="H7613"? and if thou doest not well|strong="H3190", sin|strong="H2403" lieth|strong="H7257" at the door|strong="H6607". And unto thee shall be his desire|strong="H8669", and thou shalt rule|strong="H4910" over him.
7 Se procederes bem, não é certo que serás aceito? Se, todavia, procederes mal, eis que o pecado jaz à porta; o seu desejo será contra ti, mas a ti cumpre dominá-lo.
8 And Cain|strong="H7014" talked|strong="H0559" with|strong="H0413" Abel|strong="H1893" his brother|strong="H0251": and it came to pass, when they were in the field|strong="H7704", that Cain|strong="H7014" rose up|strong="H6965" against|strong="H0413" Abel|strong="H1893" his brother|strong="H0251", and slew him|strong="H2026".
8 Disse Caim a Abel, seu irmão: Vamos ao campo. Estando eles no campo, sucedeu que se levantou Caim contra Abel, seu irmão, e o matou.
9 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Cain|strong="H7014", Where|strong="H0335" is Abel|strong="H1893" thy brother|strong="H0251"? And he said|strong="H0559", I know|strong="H3045" not: Am I my brother’s|strong="H0251" keeper|strong="H8104"?
9 Disse o Senhor a Caim: Onde está Abel, teu irmão? Ele respondeu: Não sei; acaso, sou eu tutor de meu irmão?
10 And he said|strong="H0559", What|strong="H4100" hast thou done|strong="H6213"? the voice|strong="H6963" of thy brother’s|strong="H0251" blood|strong="H1818" crieth|strong="H6817" unto me from the ground|strong="H0127".
10 E disse Deus: Que fizeste? A voz do sangue de teu irmão clama da terra a mim.
11 And now art thou cursed|strong="H0779" from the earth|strong="H0127", which hath opened|strong="H6475" her mouth|strong="H6310" to receive|strong="H3947" thy brother’s|strong="H0251" blood|strong="H1818" from thy hand|strong="H3027";
11 És agora, pois, maldito por sobre a terra, cuja boca se abriu para receber de tuas mãos o sangue de teu irmão.
12 When|strong="H3588" thou tillest|strong="H5647" the ground|strong="H0127", it shall not henceforth|strong="H3254" yield|strong="H5414" unto thee her strength|strong="H3581"; a fugitive|strong="H5128" and a vagabond|strong="H5110" shalt thou be in the earth|strong="H0776".
12 Quando lavrares o solo, não te dará ele a sua força; serás fugitivo e errante pela terra.
13 And Cain|strong="H7014" said|strong="H0559" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, My punishment|strong="H5771" is greater|strong="H1419" than I can bear|strong="H5375".
13 Então, disse Caim ao Senhor : É tamanho o meu castigo, que já não posso suportá-lo.
14 Behold, thou hast driven me out|strong="H1644" this day|strong="H3117" from the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0127"; and from|strong="H5921" thy face|strong="H6440" shall I be hid|strong="H5641"; and I shall be a fugitive|strong="H5128" and a vagabond|strong="H5110" in the earth|strong="H0776"; and it shall come to pass|strong="H1961", that every one that findeth me|strong="H4672" shall slay me|strong="H2026".
14 Eis que hoje me lanças da face da terra, e da tua presença hei de esconder-me; serei fugitivo e errante pela terra; quem comigo se encontrar me matará.
15 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto him, Therefore|strong="H3651" whosoever slayeth|strong="H2026" Cain|strong="H7014", vengeance shall be taken|strong="H5358" on him sevenfold|strong="H7659". And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* set|strong="H7760" a mark|strong="H0226" upon Cain|strong="H7014", lest|strong="H1115" any finding|strong="H4672" him should kill|strong="H5221" him.
15 O Senhor , porém, lhe disse: Assim, qualquer que matar a Caim será vingado sete vezes. E pôs o Senhor um sinal em Caim para que o não ferisse de morte quem quer que o encontrasse.
16 And Cain|strong="H7014" went out|strong="H3318" from the presence|strong="H6440" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and dwelt|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776" of Nod|strong="H5113", on the east|strong="H6926" of Eden|strong="H5731".
16 Retirou-se Caim da presença do Senhor e habitou na terra de Node, ao oriente do Éden.
17 And Cain|strong="H7014" knew|strong="H3045" his wife|strong="H0802"; and she conceived|strong="H2029", and bare|strong="H3205" Enoch|strong="H2585": and he builded|strong="H1129" a city|strong="H5892", and called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of the city|strong="H5892", after the name|strong="H8034" of his son|strong="H1121", Enoch|strong="H2585".
17 E coabitou Caim com sua mulher; ela concebeu e deu à luz a Enoque. Caim edificou uma cidade e lhe chamou Enoque, o nome de seu filho.
18 And unto Enoch|strong="H2585" was born|strong="H3205" Irad|strong="H5897": and Irad|strong="H5897" begat|strong="H3205" Mehujael|strong="H4232": and Mehujael|strong="H4232" begat|strong="H3205" Methusael|strong="H4967": and Methusael|strong="H4967" begat|strong="H3205" Lamech|strong="H3929".
18 A Enoque nasceu-lhe Irade; Irade gerou a Meujael, Meujael, a Metusael, e Metusael, a Lameque.
19 And Lamech|strong="H3929" took|strong="H3947" unto him two|strong="H8147" wives|strong="H0802": the name|strong="H8034" of the one|strong="H0259" was Adah|strong="H5711", and the name|strong="H8034" of the other|strong="H8145" Zillah|strong="H6741".
19 Lameque tomou para si duas esposas: o nome de uma era Ada, a outra se chamava Zilá.
20 And Adah|strong="H5711" bare|strong="H3205" Jabal|strong="H2989": he was the father|strong="H0001" of such as dwell|strong="H3427" in tents|strong="H0168", and of such as have cattle|strong="H4735".
20 Ada deu à luz a Jabal; este foi o pai dos que habitam em tendas e possuem gado.
21 And his brother’s|strong="H0251" name|strong="H8034" was Jubal|strong="H3106": he was the father|strong="H0001" of all such as handle|strong="H8610" the harp|strong="H3658" and organ|strong="H5748".
21 O nome de seu irmão era Jubal; este foi o pai de todos os que tocam harpa e flauta.
22 And Zillah|strong="H6741", she also bare|strong="H3205" Tubal-cain|strong="H8423", an instructer|strong="H3913" of every artificer|strong="H2794" in brass|strong="H5178" and iron|strong="H1270": and the sister|strong="H0269" of Tubal-cain|strong="H8423" was Naamah|strong="H5279".
22 Zilá, por sua vez, deu à luz a Tubalcaim, artífice de todo instrumento cortante, de bronze e de ferro; a irmã de Tubalcaim foi Naamá.
23 And Lamech|strong="H3929" said|strong="H0559" unto his wives|strong="H0802", Adah|strong="H5711" and Zillah|strong="H6741", Hear|strong="H8085" my voice|strong="H6963"; ye wives|strong="H0802" of Lamech|strong="H3929", hearken|strong="H0238" unto my speech|strong="H0565": for I have slain|strong="H2026" a man|strong="H0376" to my wounding|strong="H6482", and a young man|strong="H3206" to my hurt|strong="H2250".
23 E disse Lameque às suas esposas: Ada e Zilá, ouvi-me; vós, mulheres de Lameque, escutai o que passo a dizer-vos: Matei um homem porque ele me feriu; e um rapaz porque me pisou.
24 If|strong="H3588" Cain|strong="H7014" shall be avenged|strong="H5358" sevenfold|strong="H7659", truly Lamech|strong="H3929" seventy|strong="H7657" and sevenfold|strong="H7651".
24 Sete vezes se tomará vingança de Caim, de Lameque, porém, setenta vezes sete.
25 And Adam|strong="H0120" knew|strong="H3045" his wife|strong="H0802" again|strong="H5750"; and she bare|strong="H3205" a son|strong="H1121", and called|strong="H7121" his name|strong="H8034" Seth|strong="H8352": For God|strong="H0430", said she, hath appointed|strong="H7896" me another|strong="H0312" seed|strong="H2233" instead|strong="H8478" of Abel|strong="H1893", whom|strong="H3588" Cain|strong="H7014" slew|strong="H2026".
25 Tornou Adão a coabitar com sua mulher; e ela deu à luz um filho, a quem pôs o nome de Sete; porque, disse ela, Deus me concedeu outro descendente em lugar de Abel, que Caim matou.
26 And to Seth|strong="H8352", to him|strong="H1931" also there was born|strong="H3205" a son|strong="H1121"; and he called|strong="H7121" his name|strong="H8034" Enos|strong="H0583": then began men|strong="H2490" to call|strong="H7121" upon the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
26 A Sete nasceu-lhe também um filho, ao qual pôs o nome de Enos; daí se começou a invocar o nome do Senhor .
