1 Now the serpent|strong="H5175" was|strong="H1961" more subtil|strong="H6175" than any beast|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" had made|strong="H6213". And he said|strong="H0559" unto the woman|strong="H0802", Yea|strong="H0637", hath God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559", Ye shall not eat|strong="H0398" of every tree|strong="H6086" of the garden|strong="H1588"?
2 And the woman|strong="H0802" said|strong="H0559" unto the serpent|strong="H5175", We may eat|strong="H0398" of the fruit|strong="H6529" of the trees|strong="H6086" of the garden|strong="H1588":
3 But of the fruit|strong="H6529" of the tree|strong="H6086" which is in the midst|strong="H8432" of the garden|strong="H1588", God|strong="H0430" hath said|strong="H0559", Ye shall not eat|strong="H0398" of it, neither shall ye touch|strong="H5060" it, lest|strong="H6435" ye die|strong="H4191".
4 And the serpent|strong="H5175" said|strong="H0559" unto the woman|strong="H0802", Ye shall not surely|strong="H4191" die|strong="H4191":
5 For God|strong="H0430" doth know|strong="H3045" that in the day|strong="H3117" ye eat|strong="H0398" thereof, then your eyes|strong="H5869" shall be opened|strong="H6491", and ye shall be as gods|strong="H0430", knowing|strong="H3045" good|strong="H2896" and evil|strong="H7451".
6 And when the woman|strong="H0802" saw|strong="H7200" that the tree|strong="H6086" was good|strong="H2896" for food|strong="H3978", and that it|strong="H1931" was pleasant|strong="H8378" to the eyes|strong="H5869", and a tree|strong="H6086" to be desired|strong="H2530" to make one wise|strong="H7919", she took|strong="H3947" of the fruit thereof|strong="H6529", and did eat|strong="H0398", and gave|strong="H5414" also|strong="H1571" unto her husband|strong="H0376" with her; and he did eat|strong="H0398".
7 And the eyes|strong="H5869" of them both|strong="H8147" were opened|strong="H6491", and they|strong="H1992" knew|strong="H3045" that they were naked|strong="H5903"; and they sewed|strong="H8609" fig|strong="H8384" leaves|strong="H5929" together|strong="H8609", and made themselves|strong="H6213" aprons|strong="H2290".
8 And they heard|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" walking|strong="H1980" in the garden|strong="H1588" in the cool|strong="H7307" of the day|strong="H3117": and Adam|strong="H0120" and his wife|strong="H0802" hid themselves|strong="H2244" from the presence|strong="H6440" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" amongst|strong="H8432" the trees|strong="H6086" of the garden|strong="H1588".
9 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" called|strong="H7121" unto Adam|strong="H0120", and said|strong="H0559" unto him, Where art thou|strong="H0335"?
10 And he said|strong="H0559", I heard|strong="H8085" thy voice|strong="H6963" in the garden|strong="H1588", and I was afraid|strong="H3372", because I|strong="H0595" was naked|strong="H5903"; and I hid myself|strong="H2244".
11 And he said|strong="H0559", Who|strong="H4310" told|strong="H5046" thee that thou wast naked|strong="H5903"? Hast thou eaten|strong="H0398" of the tree|strong="H6086", whereof I commanded thee|strong="H6680" that thou shouldest not|strong="H1115" eat|strong="H0398"?
12 And the man|strong="H0120" said|strong="H0559", The woman|strong="H0802" whom thou gavest|strong="H5414" to be with me|strong="H5978", she|strong="H1931" gave|strong="H5414" me of the tree|strong="H6086", and I did eat|strong="H0398".
13 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" unto the woman|strong="H0802", What is this that thou hast done|strong="H6213"? And the woman|strong="H0802" said|strong="H0559", The serpent|strong="H5175" beguiled me|strong="H5377", and I did eat|strong="H0398".
14 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" unto the serpent|strong="H5175", Because thou|strong="H0859" hast done|strong="H6213" this, thou art cursed|strong="H0779" above all cattle|strong="H0929", and above every beast|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704"; upon thy belly|strong="H1512" shalt thou go|strong="H3212", and dust|strong="H6083" shalt thou eat|strong="H0398" all the days|strong="H3117" of thy life|strong="H2416":
15 And I will put|strong="H7896" enmity|strong="H0342" between thee and the woman|strong="H0802", and between thy seed|strong="H2233" and her seed|strong="H2233"; it shall bruise|strong="H7779" thy head|strong="H7218", and thou shalt bruise|strong="H7779" his heel|strong="H6119".
16 Unto the woman|strong="H0802" he said|strong="H0559", I will greatly|strong="H7235" multiply|strong="H7235" thy sorrow|strong="H6093" and thy conception|strong="H2032"; in sorrow|strong="H6089" thou shalt bring forth|strong="H3205" children|strong="H1121"; and thy desire|strong="H8669" shall be to thy husband|strong="H0376", and he shall rule|strong="H4910" over thee.
17 And unto Adam|strong="H0121" he said|strong="H0559", Because thou hast hearkened|strong="H8085" unto the voice|strong="H6963" of thy wife|strong="H0802", and hast eaten|strong="H0398" of the tree|strong="H6086", of which|strong="H0834" I commanded thee|strong="H6680", saying|strong="H0559", Thou shalt not eat|strong="H0398" of it: cursed|strong="H0779" is the ground|strong="H0127" for thy sake; in sorrow|strong="H6093" shalt thou eat|strong="H0398" of it all|strong="H3605" the days|strong="H3117" of thy life|strong="H2416";
18 Thorns also|strong="H6975" and thistles|strong="H1863" shall it bring forth|strong="H6779" to thee; and thou shalt eat|strong="H0398" the herb|strong="H6212" of the field|strong="H7704";
19 In the sweat|strong="H2188" of thy face|strong="H0639" shalt thou eat|strong="H0398" bread|strong="H3899", till|strong="H5704" thou return|strong="H7725" unto the ground|strong="H0127"; for out of it wast thou taken|strong="H3947": for dust|strong="H6083" thou|strong="H0859" art, and unto dust|strong="H6083" shalt thou return|strong="H7725".
20 And Adam|strong="H0120" called|strong="H7121" his wife’s|strong="H0802" name|strong="H8034" Eve|strong="H2332"; because she was the mother|strong="H0517" of all living|strong="H2416".
21 Unto Adam|strong="H0120" also and to his wife|strong="H0802" did the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" make|strong="H6213" coats|strong="H3801" of skins|strong="H5785", and clothed them|strong="H3847".
22 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559", Behold|strong="H2005", the man|strong="H0120" is become as one|strong="H0259" of us, to know|strong="H3045" good|strong="H2896" and evil|strong="H7451": and now, lest he put forth|strong="H7971" his hand|strong="H3027", and take|strong="H3947" also of the tree|strong="H6086" of life|strong="H2416", and eat|strong="H0398", and live|strong="H2425" for ever|strong="H5769":
23 Therefore the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" sent him forth|strong="H7971" from the garden|strong="H1588" of Eden|strong="H5731", to till|strong="H5647" the ground|strong="H0127" from whence he was taken|strong="H3947".
24 So he drove out|strong="H1644" the man|strong="H0120"; and he placed|strong="H7931" at the east|strong="H6924" of the garden|strong="H1588" of Eden|strong="H5731" Cherubims|strong="H3742", and a flaming|strong="H3858" sword|strong="H2719" which turned every way|strong="H2015", to keep|strong="H8104" the way|strong="H1870" of the tree|strong="H6086" of life|strong="H2416".
