Gênesis 33

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

And Jacob|strong="H3290" lifted up|strong="H5375" his eyes|strong="H5869", and looked|strong="H7200", and, behold, Esau|strong="H6215" came|strong="H0935", and with him four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" men|strong="H0376". And he divided|strong="H2673" the children|strong="H3206" unto Leah|strong="H3812", and unto Rachel|strong="H7354", and unto the two|strong="H8147" handmaids|strong="H8198".

And he put|strong="H7760" the handmaids|strong="H8198" and their children|strong="H3206" foremost|strong="H7223", and Leah|strong="H3812" and her children|strong="H3206" after|strong="H0314", and Rachel|strong="H7354" and Joseph|strong="H3130" hindermost|strong="H0314".

And he passed over|strong="H5674" before them|strong="H6440", and bowed himself|strong="H7812" to the ground|strong="H0776" seven|strong="H7651" times|strong="H6471", until he came near|strong="H5066" to his brother|strong="H0251".

And Esau|strong="H6215" ran|strong="H7323" to meet him|strong="H7125", and embraced|strong="H2263" him, and fell|strong="H5307" on his neck|strong="H6677", and kissed him|strong="H5401": and they wept|strong="H1058".

And he lifted up|strong="H5375" his eyes|strong="H5869", and saw|strong="H7200" the women|strong="H0802" and the children|strong="H3206"; and said|strong="H0559", Who are those|strong="H0428" with thee? And he said|strong="H0559", The children|strong="H3206" which God|strong="H0430" hath graciously given|strong="H2603" thy servant|strong="H5650".

Then the handmaidens|strong="H8198" came near|strong="H5066", they and their children|strong="H3206", and they bowed themselves|strong="H7812".

And Leah|strong="H3812" also with her children|strong="H3206" came near|strong="H5066", and bowed themselves|strong="H7812": and after|strong="H0310" came|strong="H5066" Joseph|strong="H3130" near|strong="H5066" and Rachel|strong="H7354", and they bowed|strong="H7812" themselves.

And he said|strong="H0559", What meanest thou by all this drove|strong="H4264" which I met|strong="H6298"? And he said|strong="H0559", These are to find|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in the sight|strong="H5869" of my lord|strong="H0113".

And Esau|strong="H6215" said|strong="H0559", I have|strong="H3426" enough|strong="H7227", my brother|strong="H0251"; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

And Jacob|strong="H3290" said|strong="H0559", Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869", then receive|strong="H3947" my present|strong="H4503" at my hand|strong="H3027": for therefore I have seen|strong="H7200" thy face|strong="H6440", as though I had seen|strong="H7200" the face|strong="H6440" of God|strong="H0430", and thou wast pleased with me|strong="H7521".

Take|strong="H3947", I pray thee, my blessing|strong="H1293" that is brought|strong="H0935" to thee; because God|strong="H0430" hath dealt graciously with me|strong="H2603", and because|strong="H3605" I have|strong="H3426" enough|strong="H3605". And he urged|strong="H6484" him, and he took|strong="H3947" it.

And he said|strong="H0559", Let us take our journey|strong="H5265", and let us go|strong="H3212", and I will go|strong="H3212" before thee.

And he said|strong="H0559" unto him, My lord|strong="H0113" knoweth|strong="H3045" that the children|strong="H3206" are tender|strong="H7390", and the flocks|strong="H6629" and herds|strong="H1241" with young|strong="H5763" are with me: and if men should overdrive|strong="H1849" them one|strong="H0259" day|strong="H3117", all the flock|strong="H6629" will die|strong="H4191".

Let my lord|strong="H0113", I pray thee, pass over|strong="H5674" before|strong="H6440" his servant|strong="H5650": and I will lead on|strong="H5095" softly|strong="H0328", according as|strong="H7272" the cattle|strong="H4399" that goeth before me|strong="H6440" and the children|strong="H3206" be able to endure|strong="H7272", until I come|strong="H0935" unto my lord|strong="H0113" unto Seir|strong="H8165".

And Esau|strong="H6215" said|strong="H0559", Let me now leave|strong="H3322" with thee some of the folk|strong="H5971" that are with me. And he said|strong="H0559", What|strong="H4100" needeth it? let me find|strong="H4672" grace|strong="H2580" in the sight|strong="H5869" of my lord|strong="H0113".

So Esau|strong="H6215" returned|strong="H7725" that day|strong="H3117" on his way|strong="H1870" unto Seir|strong="H8165".

And Jacob|strong="H3290" journeyed|strong="H5265" to Succoth|strong="H5523", and built|strong="H1129" him an house|strong="H1004", and made|strong="H6213" booths|strong="H5521" for his cattle|strong="H4735": therefore the name|strong="H8034" of the place|strong="H4725" is called|strong="H7121" Succoth|strong="H5523".

And Jacob|strong="H3290" came|strong="H0935" to Shalem|strong="H8004", a city|strong="H5892" of Shechem|strong="H7927", which is in the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667", when he came|strong="H0935" from Padan-aram|strong="H6307"; and pitched his tent|strong="H2583" before|strong="H6440" the city|strong="H5892".

And he bought|strong="H7069" a parcel|strong="H2513" of a field|strong="H7704", where he had spread|strong="H5186" his tent|strong="H0168", at the hand|strong="H3027" of the children|strong="H1121" of Hamor|strong="H2544", Shechem’s|strong="H7927" father|strong="H0001", for an hundred|strong="H3967" pieces of money|strong="H7192".

And he erected|strong="H5324" there an altar|strong="H4196", and called it|strong="H7121" El-elohe-Israel|strong="H0415".
