Then again|strong="H3254" Abraham|strong="H0085" took|strong="H3947" a wife|strong="H0802", and her name|strong="H8034" was Keturah|strong="H6989".
And she bare|strong="H3205" him Zimran|strong="H2175", and Jokshan|strong="H3370", and Medan|strong="H4091", and Midian|strong="H4080", and Ishbak|strong="H3435", and Shuah|strong="H7744".
And Jokshan|strong="H3370" begat|strong="H3205" Sheba|strong="H7614", and Dedan|strong="H1719". And the sons|strong="H1121" of Dedan|strong="H1719" were Asshurim|strong="H0805", and Letushim|strong="H3912", and Leummim|strong="H3817".
And the sons|strong="H1121" of Midian|strong="H4080"; Ephah|strong="H5891", and Epher|strong="H6081", and Hanoch|strong="H2585", and Abidah|strong="H0028", and Eldaah|strong="H0420". All these were the children|strong="H1121" of Keturah|strong="H6989".
And Abraham|strong="H0085" gave|strong="H5414" all that he had unto Isaac|strong="H3327".
But unto the sons|strong="H1121" of the concubines|strong="H6370", which Abraham|strong="H0085" had, Abraham|strong="H0085" gave|strong="H5414" gifts|strong="H4979", and sent them away|strong="H7971" from Isaac|strong="H3327" his son|strong="H1121", while he yet lived|strong="H2416", eastward|strong="H6924", unto the east|strong="H6924" country|strong="H0776".
And these are the days|strong="H3117" of the years|strong="H8141" of Abraham’s|strong="H0085" life|strong="H2416" which he lived|strong="H2425", an hundred|strong="H3967" threescore and fifteen|strong="H7657" years|strong="H8141".
Then Abraham|strong="H0085" gave up the ghost|strong="H1478", and died|strong="H4191" in a good|strong="H2896" old age|strong="H7872", an old man|strong="H2205", and full|strong="H7649" of years; and was gathered|strong="H0622" to his people|strong="H5971".
And his sons|strong="H1121" Isaac|strong="H3327" and Ishmael|strong="H3458" buried|strong="H6912" him in the cave|strong="H4631" of Machpelah|strong="H4375", in the field|strong="H7704" of Ephron|strong="H6085" the son|strong="H1121" of Zohar|strong="H6714" the Hittite|strong="H2850", which is before|strong="H6440" Mamre|strong="H4471";
The field|strong="H7704" which Abraham|strong="H0085" purchased|strong="H7069" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Heth|strong="H2845": there was Abraham|strong="H0085" buried|strong="H6912", and Sarah|strong="H8283" his wife|strong="H0802".
And it came to pass after|strong="H0310" the death|strong="H4194" of Abraham|strong="H0085", that God|strong="H0430" blessed|strong="H1288" his son|strong="H1121" Isaac|strong="H3327"; and Isaac|strong="H3327" dwelt|strong="H3427" by|strong="H5973" the well Lahai-roi|strong="H0883".
Now these are the generations|strong="H8435" of Ishmael|strong="H3458", Abraham’s|strong="H0085" son|strong="H1121", whom Hagar|strong="H1904" the Egyptian|strong="H4713", Sarah’s|strong="H8283" handmaid|strong="H8198", bare|strong="H3205" unto Abraham|strong="H0085":
And these are the names|strong="H8034" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Ishmael|strong="H3458", by their names|strong="H8034", according to their generations|strong="H8435": the firstborn|strong="H1060" of Ishmael|strong="H3458", Nebajoth|strong="H5032"; and Kedar|strong="H6938", and Adbeel|strong="H0110", and Mibsam|strong="H4017",
And Mishma|strong="H4927", and Dumah|strong="H1746", and Massa|strong="H4854",
Hadar|strong="H2316", and Tema|strong="H8485", Jetur|strong="H3195", Naphish|strong="H5305", and Kedemah|strong="H6929":
These are the sons|strong="H1121" of Ishmael|strong="H3458", and these are their names|strong="H8034", by their towns|strong="H2691", and by their castles|strong="H2918"; twelve|strong="H8147" princes|strong="H5387" according to their nations|strong="H0523".
And these are the years|strong="H8141" of the life|strong="H2416" of Ishmael|strong="H3458", an hundred|strong="H3967" and thirty|strong="H7970" and seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141": and he gave up the ghost|strong="H1478" and died|strong="H4191"; and was gathered|strong="H0622" unto his people|strong="H5971".
And they dwelt|strong="H7931" from Havilah|strong="H2341" unto Shur|strong="H7793", that is before|strong="H6440" Egypt|strong="H4714", as thou goest|strong="H0935" toward Assyria|strong="H0804": and he died|strong="H5307" in the presence|strong="H6440" of all his brethren|strong="H0251".
And these are the generations|strong="H8435" of Isaac|strong="H3327", Abraham’s|strong="H0085" son|strong="H1121": Abraham|strong="H0085" begat|strong="H3205" Isaac|strong="H3327":
And Isaac|strong="H3327" was forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" when he took|strong="H3947" Rebekah|strong="H7259" to wife|strong="H0802", the daughter|strong="H1323" of Bethuel|strong="H1328" the Syrian|strong="H0761" of Padan-aram|strong="H6307", the sister|strong="H0269" to Laban|strong="H3837" the Syrian|strong="H0761".
And Isaac|strong="H3327" intreated|strong="H6279" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* for|strong="H5227" his wife|strong="H0802", because she was barren|strong="H6135": and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was intreated|strong="H6279" of him, and Rebekah|strong="H7259" his wife|strong="H0802" conceived|strong="H2029".
And the children|strong="H1121" struggled together|strong="H7533" within her|strong="H7130"; and she said|strong="H0559", If it be so, why am I thus|strong="H2088"? And she went|strong="H3212" to enquire|strong="H1875" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto her, Two|strong="H8147" nations|strong="H1471" are in thy womb|strong="H0990", and two manner|strong="H8147" of people|strong="H3816" shall be separated|strong="H6504" from thy bowels|strong="H4578"; and the one people|strong="H3816" shall be stronger|strong="H0553" than the other people|strong="H3816"; and the elder|strong="H7227" shall serve|strong="H5647" the younger|strong="H6810".
And when her days|strong="H3117" to be delivered|strong="H3205" were fulfilled|strong="H4390", behold, there were twins|strong="H8380" in her womb|strong="H0990".
And the first|strong="H7223" came out|strong="H3318" red|strong="H0132", all over like an hairy|strong="H8181" garment|strong="H0155"; and they called|strong="H7121" his name|strong="H8034" Esau|strong="H6215".
And after|strong="H0310" that came|strong="H3318" his brother|strong="H0251" out|strong="H3318", and his hand|strong="H3027" took hold|strong="H0270" on Esau’s|strong="H6215" heel|strong="H6119"; and his name|strong="H8034" was called|strong="H7121" Jacob|strong="H3290": and Isaac|strong="H3327" was threescore|strong="H8346" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" when she bare|strong="H3205" them.
And the boys|strong="H5288" grew|strong="H1431": and Esau|strong="H6215" was a cunning|strong="H3045" hunter|strong="H6718", a man|strong="H0376" of the field|strong="H7704"; and Jacob|strong="H3290" was a plain|strong="H8535" man|strong="H0376", dwelling|strong="H3427" in tents|strong="H0168".
And Isaac|strong="H3327" loved|strong="H0157" Esau|strong="H6215", because he did eat|strong="H6310" of his venison|strong="H6718": but Rebekah|strong="H7259" loved|strong="H0157" Jacob|strong="H3290".
And Jacob|strong="H3290" sod|strong="H2102" pottage|strong="H5138": and Esau|strong="H6215" came|strong="H0935" from the field|strong="H7704", and he was faint|strong="H5889":
And Esau|strong="H6215" said|strong="H0559" to Jacob|strong="H3290", Feed|strong="H3938" me, I pray thee, with|strong="H4480" that same|strong="H0122" red|strong="H0122" pottage; for I am faint|strong="H5889": therefore was his name|strong="H8034" called|strong="H7121" Edom|strong="H0123".
And Jacob|strong="H3290" said|strong="H0559", Sell|strong="H4376" me this day|strong="H3117" thy birthright|strong="H1062".
And Esau|strong="H6215" said|strong="H0559", Behold, I am at the point|strong="H1980" to die|strong="H4191": and what profit shall this birthright|strong="H1062" do to me?
And Jacob|strong="H3290" said|strong="H0559", Swear|strong="H7650" to me this day|strong="H3117"; and he sware|strong="H7650" unto him: and he sold|strong="H4376" his birthright|strong="H1062" unto Jacob|strong="H3290".
Then Jacob|strong="H3290" gave|strong="H5414" Esau|strong="H6215" bread|strong="H3899" and pottage|strong="H5138" of lentiles|strong="H5742"; and he did eat|strong="H0398" and drink|strong="H8354", and rose up|strong="H6965", and went his way|strong="H3212": thus Esau|strong="H6215" despised|strong="H0959" his birthright|strong="H1062".
