1 And it came to pass in the eleventh|strong="H0259" year|strong="H8141", in the third|strong="H7992" month, in the first|strong="H0259" day of the month|strong="H2320", that the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto me, saying|strong="H0559",
2 Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", speak|strong="H0559" unto Pharaoh|strong="H6547" king|strong="H4428" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and to his multitude|strong="H1995"; Whom art thou like|strong="H1819" in thy greatness|strong="H1433"?
3 Behold, the Assyrian|strong="H0804" was a cedar|strong="H0730" in Lebanon|strong="H3844" with fair|strong="H3303" branches|strong="H6057", and with a shadowing|strong="H6751" shroud|strong="H2793", and of an high|strong="H1362" stature|strong="H6967"; and his top|strong="H6788" was among the thick boughs|strong="H5688".
4 The waters|strong="H4325" made him great|strong="H1431", the deep|strong="H8415" set him up on high|strong="H7311" with her rivers|strong="H5104" running|strong="H1980" round about|strong="H5439" his plants|strong="H4302", and sent out|strong="H7971" her little rivers|strong="H8585" unto all the trees|strong="H6086" of the field|strong="H7704".
5 Therefore his height|strong="H6967" was exalted|strong="H1361" above all the trees|strong="H6086" of the field|strong="H7704", and his boughs|strong="H5634" were multiplied|strong="H7235", and his branches|strong="H6288" became long|strong="H0748" because of the multitude|strong="H7227" of waters|strong="H4325", when he shot forth|strong="H7971".
6 All the fowls|strong="H5775" of heaven|strong="H8064" made their nests|strong="H7077" in his boughs|strong="H5589", and under his branches|strong="H6288" did all the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704" bring forth their young|strong="H3205", and under his shadow|strong="H6738" dwelt|strong="H3427" all great|strong="H7227" nations|strong="H1471".
7 Thus was he fair|strong="H3302" in his greatness|strong="H1433", in the length|strong="H0753" of his branches|strong="H1808": for his root|strong="H8328" was by great|strong="H7227" waters|strong="H4325".
8 The cedars|strong="H0730" in the garden|strong="H1588" of God|strong="H0430" could not hide|strong="H6004" him: the fir trees|strong="H1265" were not like|strong="H1819" his boughs|strong="H5589", and the chesnut trees|strong="H6196" were not like his branches|strong="H6288"; nor any tree|strong="H6086" in the garden|strong="H1588" of God|strong="H0430" was like|strong="H1819" unto him in his beauty|strong="H3308".
9 I have made|strong="H6213" him fair|strong="H3303" by the multitude|strong="H7230" of his branches|strong="H1808": so that all the trees|strong="H6086" of Eden|strong="H5731", that were in the garden|strong="H1588" of God|strong="H0430", envied|strong="H7065" him.
10 Therefore thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Because thou hast lifted up|strong="H1361" thyself in height|strong="H6967", and he hath shot up|strong="H5414" his top|strong="H6788" among the thick boughs|strong="H5688", and his heart|strong="H3824" is lifted up|strong="H7311" in his height|strong="H1363";
11 I have therefore delivered|strong="H5414" him into the hand|strong="H3027" of the mighty one|strong="H0410" of the heathen|strong="H1471"; he shall surely|strong="H6213" deal|strong="H6213" with him: I have driven him out|strong="H1644" for his wickedness|strong="H7562".
12 And strangers|strong="H2114", the terrible|strong="H6184" of the nations|strong="H1471", have cut him off|strong="H3772", and have left|strong="H5203" him: upon the mountains|strong="H2022" and in all the valleys|strong="H1516" his branches|strong="H1808" are fallen|strong="H5307", and his boughs|strong="H6288" are broken|strong="H7665" by all the rivers|strong="H0650" of the land|strong="H0776"; and all the people|strong="H5971" of the earth|strong="H0776" are gone down|strong="H3381" from his shadow|strong="H6738", and have left|strong="H5203" him.
13 Upon his ruin|strong="H4658" shall all the fowls|strong="H5775" of the heaven|strong="H8064" remain|strong="H7931", and all the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704" shall be upon his branches|strong="H6288":
14 To the end that none of all the trees|strong="H6086" by the waters|strong="H4325" exalt|strong="H1361" themselves for their height|strong="H6967", neither shoot up|strong="H5414" their top|strong="H6788" among the thick boughs|strong="H5688", neither their trees|strong="H0352" stand up|strong="H5975" in their height|strong="H1363", all that drink|strong="H8354" water|strong="H4325": for they are all delivered|strong="H5414" unto death|strong="H4194", to the nether parts|strong="H8482" of the earth|strong="H0776", in the midst|strong="H8432" of the children|strong="H1121" of men|strong="H0120", with them that go down|strong="H3381" to the pit|strong="H0953".
15 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; In the day|strong="H3117" when he went down|strong="H3381" to the grave|strong="H7585" I caused a mourning|strong="H0056": I covered|strong="H3680" the deep|strong="H8415" for him, and I restrained|strong="H4513" the floods|strong="H5104" thereof, and the great|strong="H7227" waters|strong="H4325" were stayed|strong="H3607": and I caused Lebanon|strong="H3844" to mourn|strong="H6937" for him, and all the trees|strong="H6086" of the field|strong="H7704" fainted|strong="H5969" for him.
16 I made the nations|strong="H1471" to shake|strong="H7493" at the sound|strong="H6963" of his fall|strong="H4658", when I cast him down|strong="H3381" to hell|strong="H7585" with them that descend|strong="H3381" into the pit|strong="H0953": and all the trees|strong="H6086" of Eden|strong="H5731", the choice|strong="H4005" and best|strong="H2896" of Lebanon|strong="H3844", all that drink|strong="H8354" water|strong="H4325", shall be comforted|strong="H5162" in the nether parts|strong="H8482" of the earth|strong="H0776".
17 They also went down|strong="H3381" into hell|strong="H7585" with him unto them that be slain|strong="H2491" with the sword|strong="H2719"; and they that were his arm|strong="H2220", that dwelt|strong="H3427" under his shadow|strong="H6738" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the heathen|strong="H1471".
18 To whom art thou thus like|strong="H1819" in glory|strong="H3519" and in greatness|strong="H1433" among the trees|strong="H6086" of Eden|strong="H5731"? yet shalt thou be brought down|strong="H3381" with the trees|strong="H6086" of Eden|strong="H5731" unto the nether parts|strong="H8482" of the earth|strong="H0776": thou shalt lie|strong="H7901" in the midst|strong="H8432" of the uncircumcised|strong="H6189" with them that be slain|strong="H2491" by the sword|strong="H2719". This is Pharaoh|strong="H6547" and all his multitude|strong="H1995", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.
