1 Moreover he said|strong="H0559" unto me, Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", eat|strong="H0398" that thou findest|strong="H4672"; eat|strong="H0398" this roll|strong="H4039", and go|strong="H3212" speak|strong="H1696" unto the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478".
2 So I opened|strong="H6605" my mouth|strong="H6310", and he caused me to eat|strong="H0398" that roll|strong="H4039".
3 And he said|strong="H0559" unto me, Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", cause thy belly|strong="H0990" to eat|strong="H0398", and fill|strong="H4390" thy bowels|strong="H4578" with this roll|strong="H4039" that I give|strong="H5414" thee. Then did I eat|strong="H0398" it; and it was in my mouth|strong="H6310" as honey|strong="H1706" for sweetness|strong="H4966".
4 And he said|strong="H0559" unto me, Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", go|strong="H3212", get|strong="H0935" thee unto the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", and speak|strong="H1696" with my words|strong="H1697" unto them.
5 For thou art not sent|strong="H7971" to a people|strong="H5971" of a strange|strong="H6012" speech|strong="H8193" and of an hard|strong="H3515" language|strong="H3956", but to the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478";
6 Not to many|strong="H7227" people|strong="H5971" of a strange|strong="H6012" speech|strong="H8193" and of an hard|strong="H3515" language|strong="H3956", whose words|strong="H1697" thou canst not understand|strong="H8085". Surely, had I sent|strong="H7971" thee to them, they would have hearkened|strong="H8085" unto thee.
7 But the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" will|strong="H0014" not hearken|strong="H8085" unto thee; for they will|strong="H0014" not hearken|strong="H8085" unto me: for all the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478" are impudent|strong="H2389" and hardhearted|strong="H7186".
8 Behold, I have made|strong="H5414" thy face|strong="H6440" strong|strong="H2389" against|strong="H5980" their faces|strong="H6440", and thy forehead|strong="H4696" strong|strong="H2389" against|strong="H5980" their foreheads|strong="H4696".
9 As an adamant|strong="H8068" harder|strong="H2389" than flint|strong="H6864" have I made|strong="H5414" thy forehead|strong="H4696": fear|strong="H3372" them not, neither be dismayed|strong="H2865" at their looks|strong="H6440", though they be a rebellious|strong="H4805" house|strong="H1004".
10 Moreover he said|strong="H0559" unto me, Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", all my words|strong="H1697" that I shall speak|strong="H1696" unto thee receive|strong="H3947" in thine heart|strong="H3824", and hear|strong="H8085" with thine ears|strong="H0241".
11 And go|strong="H3212", get|strong="H0935" thee to them of the captivity|strong="H1473", unto the children|strong="H1121" of thy people|strong="H5971", and speak|strong="H1696" unto them, and tell|strong="H0559" them, Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; whether they will hear|strong="H8085", or whether they will forbear|strong="H2308".
12 Then the spirit|strong="H7307" took me up|strong="H5375", and I heard|strong="H8085" behind|strong="H0310" me a voice|strong="H6963" of a great|strong="H1419" rushing|strong="H7494", saying, Blessed|strong="H1288" be the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* from his place|strong="H4725".
13 I heard also the noise|strong="H6963" of the wings|strong="H3671" of the living creatures|strong="H2416" that touched|strong="H5401" one|strong="H0802" another|strong="H0269", and the noise|strong="H6963" of the wheels|strong="H0212" over against|strong="H5980" them, and a noise|strong="H6963" of a great|strong="H1419" rushing|strong="H7494".
14 So the spirit|strong="H7307" lifted me up|strong="H5375", and took me away|strong="H3947", and I went|strong="H3212" in bitterness|strong="H4751", in the heat|strong="H2534" of my spirit|strong="H7307"; but the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was strong|strong="H2388" upon me.
15 Then I came|strong="H0935" to them of the captivity|strong="H1473" at Tel-abib|strong="H8512", that dwelt|strong="H3427" by the river|strong="H5104" of Chebar|strong="H3529", and I sat|strong="H3427" where they sat|strong="H3427", and remained|strong="H3427" there astonished|strong="H8074" among|strong="H8432" them seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117".
16 And it came to pass at the end|strong="H7097" of seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117", that the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came unto me, saying|strong="H0559",
17 Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", I have made|strong="H5414" thee a watchman|strong="H6822" unto the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478": therefore hear|strong="H8085" the word|strong="H1697" at my mouth|strong="H6310", and give them warning|strong="H2094" from me.
18 When I say|strong="H0559" unto the wicked|strong="H7563", Thou shalt surely|strong="H4191" die|strong="H4191"; and thou givest him not warning|strong="H2094", nor speakest|strong="H1696" to warn|strong="H2094" the wicked|strong="H7563" from his wicked|strong="H7563" way|strong="H1870", to save his life|strong="H2421"; the same wicked|strong="H7563" man shall die|strong="H4191" in his iniquity|strong="H5771"; but his blood|strong="H1818" will I require|strong="H1245" at thine hand|strong="H3027".
19 Yet if thou warn|strong="H2094" the wicked|strong="H7563", and he turn|strong="H7725" not from his wickedness|strong="H7562", nor from his wicked|strong="H7563" way|strong="H1870", he shall die|strong="H4191" in his iniquity|strong="H5771"; but thou hast delivered|strong="H5337" thy soul|strong="H5315".
20 Again|strong="H7725", When a righteous|strong="H6662" man doth turn|strong="H7725" from his righteousness|strong="H6664", and commit|strong="H6213" iniquity|strong="H5766", and I lay|strong="H5414" a stumblingblock|strong="H4383" before|strong="H6440" him, he shall die|strong="H4191": because thou hast not given him warning|strong="H2094", he shall die|strong="H4191" in his sin|strong="H2403", and his righteousness|strong="H6666" which he hath done|strong="H6213" shall not be remembered|strong="H2142"; but his blood|strong="H1818" will I require|strong="H1245" at thine hand|strong="H3027".
21 Nevertheless if thou warn|strong="H2094" the righteous|strong="H6662" man, that the righteous|strong="H6662" sin|strong="H2398" not, and he doth not sin|strong="H2398", he shall surely|strong="H2421" live|strong="H2421", because he is warned|strong="H2094"; also thou hast delivered|strong="H5337" thy soul|strong="H5315".
22 And the hand|strong="H3027" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was there upon me; and he said|strong="H0559" unto me, Arise|strong="H6965", go forth|strong="H3318" into the plain|strong="H1237", and I will there talk|strong="H1696" with thee.
23 Then I arose|strong="H6965", and went forth|strong="H3318" into the plain|strong="H1237": and, behold, the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* stood|strong="H5975" there, as the glory|strong="H3519" which I saw|strong="H7200" by the river|strong="H5104" of Chebar|strong="H3529": and I fell|strong="H5307" on my face|strong="H6440".
24 Then the spirit|strong="H7307" entered|strong="H0935" into me, and set|strong="H5975" me upon my feet|strong="H7272", and spake|strong="H1696" with me, and said|strong="H0559" unto me, Go|strong="H0935", shut|strong="H5462" thyself within|strong="H8432" thine house|strong="H1004".
25 But thou, O son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", behold, they shall put|strong="H5414" bands|strong="H5688" upon thee, and shall bind|strong="H0631" thee with them, and thou shalt not go out|strong="H3318" among|strong="H8432" them:
26 And I will make thy tongue|strong="H3956" cleave|strong="H1692" to the roof of thy mouth|strong="H2441", that thou shalt be dumb|strong="H0481", and shalt not be to them a reprover|strong="H0376": for they are a rebellious|strong="H4805" house|strong="H1004".
27 But when I speak|strong="H1696" with|strong="H0854" thee, I will open|strong="H6605" thy mouth|strong="H6310", and thou shalt say|strong="H0559" unto them, Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; He that heareth|strong="H8085", let him hear|strong="H8085"; and he that forbeareth|strong="H2310", let him forbear|strong="H2308": for they are a rebellious|strong="H4805" house|strong="H1004".
