2 Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", there were two|strong="H8147" women|strong="H0802", the daughters|strong="H1323" of one|strong="H0259" mother|strong="H0517":
3 And they committed whoredoms|strong="H2181" in Egypt|strong="H4714"; they committed whoredoms|strong="H2181" in their youth|strong="H5271": there were their breasts|strong="H7699" pressed|strong="H4600", and there they bruised|strong="H6213" the teats|strong="H1717" of their virginity|strong="H1331".
4 And the names|strong="H8034" of them were Aholah|strong="H0170" the elder|strong="H1419", and Aholibah|strong="H0172" her sister|strong="H0269": and they were mine, and they bare|strong="H3205" sons|strong="H1121" and daughters|strong="H1323". Thus were their names|strong="H8034"; Samaria|strong="H8111" is Aholah|strong="H0170", and Jerusalem|strong="H3389" Aholibah|strong="H0172".
5 And Aholah|strong="H0170" played the harlot|strong="H2181" when she was mine|strong="H8478"; and she doted|strong="H5689" on her lovers|strong="H0157", on the Assyrians|strong="H0804" her neighbours|strong="H7138",
6 Which were clothed|strong="H3847" with blue|strong="H8504", captains|strong="H6346" and rulers|strong="H5461", all of them desirable|strong="H2531" young men|strong="H0970", horsemen|strong="H6571" riding|strong="H7392" upon horses|strong="H5483".
7 Thus she committed|strong="H5414" her whoredoms|strong="H8457" with them, with all them that were the chosen|strong="H4005" men|strong="H1121" of Assyria|strong="H0804", and with all on whom she doted|strong="H5689": with all their idols|strong="H1544" she defiled|strong="H2930" herself.
8 Neither left|strong="H5800" she her whoredoms|strong="H8457" brought from Egypt|strong="H4714": for in her youth|strong="H5271" they lay|strong="H7901" with her, and they bruised|strong="H6213" the breasts|strong="H1717" of her virginity|strong="H1331", and poured|strong="H8210" their whoredom|strong="H8457" upon her.
9 Wherefore I have delivered|strong="H5414" her into the hand|strong="H3027" of her lovers|strong="H0157", into the hand|strong="H3027" of the Assyrians|strong="H1121", upon whom she doted|strong="H5689".
10 These discovered|strong="H1540" her nakedness|strong="H6172": they took|strong="H3947" her sons|strong="H1121" and her daughters|strong="H1323", and slew|strong="H2026" her with the sword|strong="H2719": and she became famous|strong="H8034" among women|strong="H0802"; for they had executed|strong="H6213" judgment|strong="H8196" upon her.
11 And when her sister|strong="H0269" Aholibah|strong="H0172" saw|strong="H7200" this, she was more corrupt|strong="H7843" in her inordinate love|strong="H5691" than she, and in her whoredoms|strong="H8457" more than her sister|strong="H0269" in her whoredoms|strong="H2183".
12 She doted|strong="H5689" upon the Assyrians|strong="H1121" her neighbours|strong="H7138", captains|strong="H6346" and rulers|strong="H5461" clothed|strong="H3847" most gorgeously|strong="H4358", horsemen|strong="H6571" riding|strong="H7392" upon horses|strong="H5483", all of them desirable|strong="H2531" young men|strong="H0970".
13 Then I saw|strong="H7200" that she was defiled|strong="H2930", that they took both|strong="H8147" one|strong="H0259" way|strong="H1870",
14 And that she increased|strong="H3254" her whoredoms|strong="H8457": for when she saw|strong="H7200" men|strong="H0582" pourtrayed|strong="H2707" upon the wall|strong="H7023", the images|strong="H6754" of the Chaldeans|strong="H3778" pourtrayed|strong="H2710" with vermilion|strong="H8350",
15 Girded|strong="H2289" with girdles|strong="H0232" upon their loins|strong="H4975", exceeding|strong="H5628" in dyed attire|strong="H2871" upon their heads|strong="H7218", all of them princes|strong="H7991" to look to|strong="H4758", after the manner|strong="H1823" of the Babylonians|strong="H1121" of Chaldea|strong="H3778", the land|strong="H0776" of their nativity|strong="H4138":
16 And as soon as she saw|strong="H4758" them with her eyes|strong="H5869", she doted|strong="H5689" upon them, and sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" unto them into Chaldea|strong="H3778".
17 And the Babylonians|strong="H1121" came|strong="H0935" to her into the bed|strong="H4904" of love|strong="H1730", and they defiled|strong="H2930" her with their whoredom|strong="H8457", and she was polluted|strong="H2930" with them, and her mind|strong="H5315" was alienated|strong="H3363" from them.
18 So she discovered|strong="H1540" her whoredoms|strong="H8457", and discovered|strong="H1540" her nakedness|strong="H6172": then my mind|strong="H5315" was alienated|strong="H3363" from her, like as my mind|strong="H5315" was alienated|strong="H5361" from her sister|strong="H0269".
19 Yet she multiplied|strong="H7235" her whoredoms|strong="H8457", in calling to remembrance|strong="H2142" the days|strong="H3117" of her youth|strong="H5271", wherein she had played the harlot|strong="H2181" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
20 For she doted|strong="H5689" upon their paramours|strong="H6370", whose flesh|strong="H1320" is as the flesh|strong="H1320" of asses|strong="H2543", and whose issue|strong="H2231" is like the issue|strong="H2231" of horses|strong="H5483".
21 Thus thou calledst to remembrance|strong="H6485" the lewdness|strong="H2154" of thy youth|strong="H5271", in bruising|strong="H6213" thy teats|strong="H1717" by the Egyptians|strong="H4714" for the paps|strong="H7699" of thy youth|strong="H5271".
22 Therefore, O Aholibah|strong="H0172", thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I will raise up|strong="H5782" thy lovers|strong="H0157" against thee, from whom thy mind|strong="H5315" is alienated|strong="H5361", and I will bring|strong="H0935" them against thee on every side|strong="H5439";
23 The Babylonians|strong="H1121", and all the Chaldeans|strong="H3778", Pekod|strong="H6489", and Shoa|strong="H7772", and Koa|strong="H6970", and all the Assyrians|strong="H1121" with them: all of them desirable|strong="H2531" young men|strong="H0970", captains|strong="H6346" and rulers|strong="H5461", great lords|strong="H7991" and renowned|strong="H7121", all of them riding|strong="H7392" upon horses|strong="H5483".
24 And they shall come|strong="H0935" against thee with chariots|strong="H2021", wagons|strong="H7393", and wheels|strong="H1534", and with an assembly|strong="H6951" of people|strong="H5971", which shall set|strong="H7760" against thee buckler|strong="H6793" and shield|strong="H4043" and helmet|strong="H6959" round about|strong="H5439": and I will set|strong="H5414" judgment|strong="H4941" before|strong="H6440" them, and they shall judge|strong="H8199" thee according to their judgments|strong="H4941".
25 And I will set|strong="H5414" my jealousy|strong="H7068" against thee, and they shall deal|strong="H6213" furiously|strong="H2534" with thee: they shall take away|strong="H5493" thy nose|strong="H0639" and thine ears|strong="H0241"; and thy remnant|strong="H0319" shall fall|strong="H5307" by the sword|strong="H2719": they shall take|strong="H3947" thy sons|strong="H1121" and thy daughters|strong="H1323"; and thy residue|strong="H0319" shall be devoured|strong="H0398" by the fire|strong="H0784".
26 They shall also strip|strong="H6584" thee out of thy clothes|strong="H0899", and take away|strong="H3947" thy fair|strong="H8597" jewels|strong="H3627".
27 Thus will I make thy lewdness|strong="H2154" to cease|strong="H7673" from thee, and thy whoredom|strong="H2184" brought from the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714": so that thou shalt not lift up|strong="H5375" thine eyes|strong="H5869" unto them, nor remember|strong="H2142" Egypt|strong="H4714" any more.
28 For thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Behold, I will deliver|strong="H5414" thee into the hand|strong="H3027" of them whom thou hatest|strong="H8130", into the hand|strong="H3027" of them from whom thy mind|strong="H5315" is alienated|strong="H5361":
29 And they shall deal|strong="H6213" with thee hatefully|strong="H8135", and shall take away|strong="H3947" all thy labour|strong="H3018", and shall leave|strong="H5800" thee naked|strong="H5903" and bare|strong="H6181": and the nakedness|strong="H6172" of thy whoredoms|strong="H2183" shall be discovered|strong="H1540", both thy lewdness|strong="H2154" and thy whoredoms|strong="H8457".
30 I will do|strong="H6213" these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring|strong="H2181" after|strong="H0310" the heathen|strong="H1471", and because thou art polluted|strong="H2930" with their idols|strong="H1544".
31 Thou hast walked|strong="H1980" in the way|strong="H1870" of thy sister|strong="H0269"; therefore will I give|strong="H5414" her cup|strong="H3563" into thine hand|strong="H3027".
32 Thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Thou shalt drink|strong="H8354" of thy sister’s|strong="H0269" cup|strong="H3563" deep|strong="H6013" and large|strong="H7342": thou shalt be laughed to scorn|strong="H6712" and had in derision|strong="H3933"; it containeth|strong="H3557" much|strong="H4767".
33 Thou shalt be filled|strong="H4390" with drunkenness|strong="H7943" and sorrow|strong="H3015", with the cup|strong="H3563" of astonishment|strong="H8047" and desolation|strong="H8077", with the cup|strong="H3563" of thy sister|strong="H0269" Samaria|strong="H8111".
34 Thou shalt even drink|strong="H8354" it and suck it out|strong="H4680", and thou shalt break|strong="H1633" the sherds|strong="H2789" thereof, and pluck off|strong="H5423" thine own breasts|strong="H7699": for I have spoken|strong="H1696" it, saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.
35 Therefore thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; Because thou hast forgotten|strong="H7911" me, and cast|strong="H7993" me behind|strong="H0310" thy back|strong="H1458", therefore bear|strong="H5375" thou also thy lewdness|strong="H2154" and thy whoredoms|strong="H8457".
36 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" moreover unto me; Son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", wilt thou judge|strong="H8199" Aholah|strong="H0170" and Aholibah|strong="H0172"? yea, declare|strong="H5046" unto them their abominations|strong="H8441";
37 That they have committed adultery|strong="H5003", and blood|strong="H1818" is in their hands|strong="H3027", and with their idols|strong="H1544" have they committed adultery|strong="H5003", and have also caused their sons|strong="H1121", whom they bare|strong="H3205" unto me, to pass for them through|strong="H5674" the fire, to devour|strong="H0402" them.
38 Moreover this they have done|strong="H6213" unto me: they have defiled|strong="H2930" my sanctuary|strong="H4720" in the same day|strong="H3117", and have profaned|strong="H2490" my sabbaths|strong="H7676".
39 For when they had slain|strong="H7819" their children|strong="H1121" to their idols|strong="H1544", then they came|strong="H0935" the same day|strong="H3117" into my sanctuary|strong="H4720" to profane|strong="H2490" it; and, lo, thus have they done|strong="H6213" in the midst|strong="H8432" of mine house|strong="H1004".
40 And furthermore|strong="H0637", that ye have sent|strong="H7971" for men|strong="H0582" to come|strong="H0935" from far|strong="H4801", unto whom a messenger|strong="H4397" was sent|strong="H7971"; and, lo, they came|strong="H0935": for whom thou didst wash|strong="H7364" thyself, paintedst|strong="H3583" thy eyes|strong="H5869", and deckedst|strong="H5710" thyself with ornaments|strong="H5716",
41 And satest|strong="H3427" upon a stately|strong="H3520" bed|strong="H4296", and a table|strong="H7979" prepared|strong="H6186" before|strong="H6440" it, whereupon thou hast set|strong="H7760" mine incense|strong="H7004" and mine oil|strong="H8081".
42 And a voice|strong="H6963" of a multitude|strong="H1995" being at ease|strong="H7961" was with her: and with the men|strong="H0582" of the common sort|strong="H7230" were brought|strong="H0935" Sabeans|strong="H5436" from the wilderness|strong="H4057", which put|strong="H5414" bracelets|strong="H6781" upon their hands|strong="H3027", and beautiful|strong="H8597" crowns|strong="H5850" upon their heads|strong="H7218".
43 Then said|strong="H0559" I unto her that was old|strong="H1087" in adulteries|strong="H5004", Will they now commit|strong="H2181" whoredoms|strong="H8457" with her, and she with them?
44 Yet they went in|strong="H0935" unto her, as they go in|strong="H0935" unto a woman|strong="H0802" that playeth the harlot|strong="H2181": so went they in|strong="H0935" unto Aholah|strong="H0170" and unto Aholibah|strong="H0172", the lewd|strong="H2154" women|strong="H0802".
45 And the righteous|strong="H6662" men|strong="H0582", they shall judge|strong="H8199" them after the manner|strong="H4941" of adulteresses|strong="H5003", and after the manner|strong="H4941" of women that shed|strong="H8210" blood|strong="H1818"; because they are adulteresses|strong="H5003", and blood|strong="H1818" is in their hands|strong="H3027".
46 For thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; I will bring up|strong="H5927" a company|strong="H6951" upon them, and will give|strong="H5414" them to be removed|strong="H2189" and spoiled|strong="H0957".
47 And the company|strong="H6951" shall stone|strong="H7275" them with stones|strong="H0068", and dispatch|strong="H1254" them with their swords|strong="H2719"; they shall slay|strong="H2026" their sons|strong="H1121" and their daughters|strong="H1323", and burn up|strong="H8313" their houses|strong="H1004" with fire|strong="H0784".
48 Thus will I cause lewdness|strong="H2154" to cease|strong="H7673" out of the land|strong="H0776", that all women|strong="H0802" may be taught|strong="H3256" not to do|strong="H6213" after your lewdness|strong="H2154".
49 And they shall recompense|strong="H5414" your lewdness|strong="H2154" upon you, and ye shall bear|strong="H5375" the sins|strong="H2399" of your idols|strong="H1544": and ye shall know|strong="H3045" that I am the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.
